I will be very interested to see how other missiles compare. It might be interesting to do AMRAAM v. Sparrow or AMRAAM v. R-27RT or AMRAAM v. MICA. Of course, AMRAAM v. Adder is the big one we're all waiting for.

Movie magic my friend. The prop-plane would use superior turnrate to out-turn the jets, but the jets could simply disengage or go vertial. You could definately generate a lot of film with such a concept, it would be like an A-10 dogfighting an F-15. Sure it would be over instantly BVR, but WVR things change ;-)

Looks to me like we need an antiradar version of the Minutemann III. That would certainly outrange their SAMs... might still get shot down though. Okay, how about an AIM-54-based system! Wait, we already got rid of the Tomcats... Maybe an AMRAAM-based... no, ED would undermodel it... Tough defenses to crack there, I guess we'd just have to send in the Raptors. Bwahahahaha!

I really suppose you could use any WWII fighter. If someone's hesitant about a spit, go ahead and make an Mustang or Lightning or Me-109 or really anything you want. I just want to see someone (cough, Glowing_Amraam, cough) make a movie with a WWII plane getting the jump on and engaging in an extended dogfight with a pair of modern jet fighters. That would be realy awesome (although the poll seems to show that I'm retarded :D)

That's the big one for me. That is a huge increase and will really increase the lethality of this already stellar missile system [cough].

Can anyone explain to me why I'm still seeing the "Western Style Airbase Mod" after installing Reload, uninstalling the western runways, and loading up LO in Summer? It's a beautiful mod, but I really want to see the wonderful Grandsurf that's hidden beneath, you know? I'll get a screenshot if you need one for evidence...

Ubi.com supports all versions of LO, but the people who actually play there (no more than three at any given point in time) mostly use 1.02. It is difficult to find people there with FC. Hyperlobby, as you already know, is perfect for FC users.

It's just the cockpit. I'd imagine it would seem okay if the -380 had a sexy bubble canopy like that of an F-15 with appropriate avionics. It's just that big-bad jetliner cockpits don't usually go with joysticks historically, although I'm sure anyone who plays a lot of MSFS with an X52 is used to the stick-heavy combination. I would be more worried about my ability to have the stick on the LEFT and the throttles on the RIGHT, there's an adjustment for you. And the throttles don't even have radar controls, WTH?

Even though it was complaining about the .NET thing, I decided to go into LO and run some tests. At first it refused to start, but the problem there turned out to be Lomacitis and it started on the second try. I took some jets in single player and bashed them repeatedly into the ground for an hour, recovering over and over, and never saw a sign of glitchiness. I haven't seen glitchiness in SP because I'm always online, but it's a good sign. EDIT: Flew online against a guy and after multiple recoveries and various other things, the problem did not arise again. It will take me a while to build up the balls to install LORELOAD again, but I may get around to it. Thank you Kuky for solving the problem with such ease and effectivness.

Seems bizarre that it would just choose this week to go on the Fritz. I'm downloading what ATI told me to now so... hope this helps. UPDATE: I went to ATI and got the newest drivers (8.1 I believe) for my x850 video card, but it said something about needing some newer .net framework or similar gibberish. Umm... what?

Lock-On is completely insane! Every time I RCVR, or ctrl + esc out of the game and come back, things get worse. At first, everything is fine, then after I do one of the above, it does things like speckle other jets' textures with green and red and other simlilar stuff. Next time it may start messing with menus, next time after that my Radar or TEWS will get nuked, then my HUD, then the HUD worse, and so on. It only started when I installed LoReload, and I thought that was the problem. I reinstalled Lockon, thought it was fixed, then installed LoReload to see if it would get funky again... and it did. Uninstalled LoReload, and the problem didn't fix. Reinstalled LO again, reinstalled all mods except LoReload (all of which worked without error in the past) and, wouldn't you know it, it's doing it AGAIN. I would show some screens but Photobucket is doing some maintenance so I can't at the moment. I really need some help on this, it's extremely annoying, the fates are against me and my squadmate flying online. When he could connect, I couldn't. I fixed my problem, he got a virus, the virus problem was solved today, my texture crisis started today. Seriously, what is with this?

Guys, this is like watching puppies in a pet store. You just WANT what you see so bad but it's not gonna happen. Okay, it's kinda different because this IS gonna happen, but I have to WAIT for it, and that just goes against my American upbringings. I loved SPEED and I really can't wait for SPEED 2.

Really? I think they must be flying with full tanks because at least for me, that thing makes my lovely Eagle look sad, although I don't like the smushy feel it has to it, but that's another story. Actually maybe it's not, because I think it might actually not be smushy enough. I read an article by an F/A-18 pilot or similar who said that when you took it to the max rollrate and centered the stick, it would continue to roll 180-270 degrees (can't remember) before it stopped, unless you applied full opposite stick. Then compare to a Strike Eagle article that said one second at one-inch opposite stick would make it "pop" out of the roll. Whatever, I'm rambling now, continue arguing for improvments everyone.

Nice, V1per, that really bright burner really gives you a sense of power coming from those scrawny TF-30s. However, I would like to recommend you get the much better looking afterburner from Oxyd on Lockonfiles, it's leaps and bounds above the default leftover from Flanker 2.

Wow, I didn't know you could do that. I seem to recall an F-15 pulled an insane amount of G that peaked for a fraction of a second at 40G although I heard from another source that it was just 15. Speaking of G, I really got pissed at Lock-On when I tested the over-g point of the Eagle's warning system. I found that at 7.5g the warning system is silent, but when I dipped to about 8.15 or something Betty went into her tyrade "OverG OverG OverG!". This is very annoying because it causes me personally to completely ignore the Over-G warning which can sometimes have me sustaining 9.2 or something.
