  1. Is there a trick to getting the mission to trigger the next step after it tells you to taxi forward onto the runway centre line ?
  2. I'm clearly the most unobservant person in the world (my wife would probably agree with that) as I'd been check the forums for a solution ! Thanks again :)
  3. THAT'S IT ! Setting the FFB Pitch and Roll curves to 0 and suddenly the helicopter is flying the way I want/expect. Thank you so much for that, it's been bugging me for weeks and I'd never have thought of that :)
  4. This is exactly what I'm seeing. I can see the control stick move in the cockpit and the control indicators move but until I reach a 50% deflection there's no actual input to the aircraft, then I reach 50%+ and the full control deflection is sent through. I know people say they have to flight tha SAS but this can't be correct ? (Note this is with a T1600 HOTAS with the axis setting at default, Deadzone 0, Saturation X & Y 100 and Curvature 0)
  5. Unfortunately after downloading the 2082MByte F-14 file quickly via torrent the updater has also decided it needs a 484.9MBytes file which it's downloading via HTTP at about 100KB/s :( (Not sure why I'm so impatient, I'm at work RDPing onto my home PC so even if it was downloaded already I woudn't be able to play for at least another 3 1/2 hours)
  6. We have the stable version for version of the aircraft that are considered well tested and stable. The F-14B is hugely complex (and just the first of the two aircraft type this module is scheduled to contain) and early access allows DCS & Heatblur to give a vastly larger number of people access to the module which should help identify issues much faster and get a much wider range of feedback on question. In essence we accept that we are getting something before it's fully complete in order to a) marvel at it's glory sooner and b) help break it.
  7. So main patch installed, Open Beta run and in Module Manager there's the F-14 module ready to download. Now just 2082.2 MBytes to go....
  8. Use the torrent downloader - that way, the more people, the faster :)
  9. And so it begins....
  10. Personally I've struggled to get enough buttons, even with modifiers, to map everything to a T1600 HOTAS, but I can get enough on there to do the basics
  11. Yep we're all flying it now :) (Just joking of course)
  12. Excellent, that's an improvement on some previous Early Access releases
  13. So have ED/Heatblur confirmed it's being released on Steam tomorrow as well ?
  14. This is an example of Poe's Law, right ?

    NVG for Mirage

Just for anyone who (like me) is dreadful at languages the sub head at the top of the second page - "La capacité apportée par les jumelles de vision nocturne sur Mirage 2000C est une une nouveauté" is translated by Google Translate as "The capacity brought by the night vision binoculars on Mirage 2000C is a novelty"
  16. I've now got an 11.6" monitor set up and working great and I'm able to use the #DISPLAYS variable in the monitor setup .lua file to detect if it's enabled and decide whether to send output to it. But that's still dependent on the overall screen resolution set in to the options.lua file so I was wondering if there's a built in way there to detect the number of monitors enabled and set the resolution accordingly ? I have knocked up some basic python that uses windows API to get details of the monitors, edits the options.lua as apropriate then asynchronously kicks off the DCS World runtime but it preferable to do it directly in the config if there's an option. So anyone found a way to do it ?
  17. I'm just looking to pick up a cheap 11.6" 1080p display to use with a pair of TM Courgar MFDs side by side and was wondering if anyone has any sample display settings they've found work for them with that setup ? cheers.
  18. That's pretty much what I assumed and why I love the Viggen (compressor surge/stalls notwithstanding) but it's nice to know it's realistic :)
  19. Absolutely ! But it still remain about the only DCS jet I can land reliably - that's massive improvement for me :)
  20. I'm really not a good pilot but I'm loving flying the Viggen because it seems ridiculously easy to fly - particularly the auto-throttle - to the point that I can actually reliably land safely (unheard of for me with a fast-jet). Is this accurate and presumably the jet is all about taking as much effort off the pilot so they can concentrate on staying as low as possible and delivering thir payload.
  21. The Leap Motion is a direct hand tracking system without using controllers and has been expanded with the Orion API to work with VR systems - Flyinside now support it with their VR addons for various sims and also in their own sim I'm hoping the VR interface updates ED have spoken about will include adding something simiar to DCS
  22. Thank you
  23. Sorry to butt-in but if you have a T1600 layout for the AJS37 I'd definitely be interested if you could upload it somewhere
  24. Yes I was getting identical Crash Issues with both the Stable version and the pre-2.3.2 Open Betas. (I haven't reinstalled the Stable version yet so I can't say if the new Windows Insider Build works with that)
  25. SUCCESS !!! I've just upgraded Win10 to the latest insider build (17751) and ED Open Beta to 2.5.3.21107 and it's working again ! I can't say whether either one of the changes did the trick individually or of you need to have both but honestly I'm just happy to finally get a chance to try out my Yak-52
