  1. Since one of the last updates on 1.5 my ADF needle stopped working though the tone (of the ADF) is still present. This is not a post about the reported FM homing issue. Aircraft systems are set up correct as per manual (and I know that because it worked earlier on 1.5 and 2.0). ADF freq is dialed in, you can hear the correct tone signal but the needle does not point to the emitter. It moves out of "standby position" and then stays centered with the heading the helicopter is pointing to. This refers to land based ADF emitters as well as to "downed pilots ADF" (i.e. on MP). Checked with Gazelle...ADF is working correct there. Anyone else having this issue? Willy
  2. In addition to shamandgg one question: does anyone had the same experience as described (been on 51st server as that happened yesterday severeral times and was reproducable) and does anyone know why? I flew on other helicopter related servers, dropped beacon via CTLD menu without that following CTD/crash - though I am pretty sure that no KA50 tuned that frequency in on those servers but me flying in the Huey...and I did fine without DCS freezing there. And in particular: why do only Helicopter´s DCS freeze and not fixed wing. It´s a very strange issue we came across. Thx in advance Willy
  3. Thank you so much for your effort...highly appreciated !!!
  4. Pls double check your ground speed with NADIR (select parameter VS DER...then you can easily see your actual groundspeed). Had troubles myself with auto hover (believing to meet the criteria vs lower than 60 m/s, speed lower than 18 km/hrs and detected that I was assuming wrong.) Never trust your feeling in the sim or the speed indicator on main panel. I just throw this in because I don´t know if you looked at your indicated speed on NADIR. If you did...well than there´s something broken/malconfigured - maybe on your side. On my side auto hover works with hot and cold start or the cheating autostart. Hope that helps to sort it out.
  5. Guys, I did not mean "jump" in the air like a rocket but more lift of a bit less gentle than in a Huey and then counteract the forward movement with the stick if you want to TO with both skids simultaneously. BUT...I played a bit with my joystick´s curves and saturation...and voilá...I am able to lift her over the skids (left or right), just gentle and NO forward slipping nor jumping. Think I found the sweet spot for my stick (TM Warthog) for the existing gazelle FM. Adjusting the curves helps also a lot with coordinated turns. Let´s keep on with this beautiful DCS helo...well worth having it. Willy
  6. I have no RL experience on the stick (though fixed wing flyer) but watched several Gazelle videos and it seems that the To technique is on most of them kinda "jump" in the air (other than on the huey - have been on UH1 for 12 years in the backseats). Straight up and counteract with stick to stop forward moving. My finding is: TO seems to be quite correct in DCS. What is mentioned in the post above....+1...it seems there´s some finetuning necessary. But over all: I love it - though still flying with "easy controls" Well done Polychop!!
  7. CUDOS Skullz, I flew in the german airforce as a doc for about 10 yrs on UH-1D (SAR).....your soundpack I came across today is really close to the real thing and enhances the experience in DCS dramatically. I LOVE IT, thanks for your effort and for giving it to the community. Willy
