  1. Maybe you are interested in these meanwhile http://http://www.virtual-jabog32.de/index.php?section=downloads&subcat=37&file=1236
  2. Same here, no warning, no indication. Paid my dues yesterday
  3. Temporary solution in MP is: quit MP session (going back to spectator is not solving the issue) and reconnect, join the "new" aircraft you want to fly. Then the sound bug is gone until you crash/die again. Guess Polychop is well aware of that.
  4. Not recruiting for any virtual squad, but you may want to try out VSAAF server on 1.5 or 2.0 map , AFAIK tonight (~ 1800Z ??) there´s a minicampaign going on with Gazelle´s C101 and L39, kinda reccon and later destroy. This would be a chance to find someone to hop in the left seat. I might try it out even if I prefer beeing the pilot :-) Or - like otheres said...there are several servers out here to get connected, 104th is not wht you are looking for (though a great platform) with this purpose.
  5. That may be the culprit on my side. No FFB. Using Warthog HOTAS stick and throttle. But I will make sure at least that no calibration issue gives my that "positive" feedback. Flying M2000 or A10C I experience or such behaviour.
  6. I really don´t know what is going on here. No matter what I try, the Gazelle is not stable on my system (though I have learned to handle her). The situation you describe leads to a crash (without further inputs)- and not to a stable flight on my system. Seems that I must have a different Gazelle :megalol: When it comes to a slow speed, prior to landing it feels pretty unstable and really like a light helicopter. You are completely right...NO helicopter can do what you describe. And the FM in turns...hmm Are all of you sure that it´s not with "easy controls checked in main menue" of the game?
  7. Guys, I just found that at Sukhumi FARP the Gazelle Mistral version explodes in the moment you join the aircraft. Other Gazelle versions work fine. Anyone else can confirm that?
  8. Like it! Move on with the sound mod....will get is as soon as it´s available
  9. Thx mattebubben, that was the point I missed (and I hate to say that as I am familiar with GBU´s in the A10 :-( ). It´s now clear why they fall ballistic. Tested again with MK´s....better results when I designate short of target and ripple 4. Well, the Mirage is more A/A or GBU12 with JTAC. Thanks for helping me out.
  10. They fall around 100m far/short, at least without causing damage after explosion because they are far out the blast zone. I designate by bringing the CCRP diamond over the target, aircraft in dive pointing to the target (sight zoomed in to get the most accurate designation), press "Magic Slave/AG Designate/INS Position Update" key assigned on my HOTAS to designate, the cross appears, then I pull up straight and level towards the target, hold down trigger until bomb goes off the aircraft. Talking here about CCRP with GBU (without JTAC). TAS and RA on. It seems to me that the GBU is not calculating my designated target but falls down more or less ballistic as it is not adjusting it´s flight path towards the target.
  11. Gents, I have to come up with some questions about that. After the hotfix (TAS ranging updated) I took the M2K for some A/G training on different MP servers. Tested GBU12 (without help of JTAC but designating myself), MK82 and MK82SE. I went up to different altitudes, dived at different angles and speeds. Radar was set to TAS, Radar altimeter to M, designation of target as described in the manual or in Chucks tutorials. Release in straight flight as well as in a deep or shallow dive or even in pop-up (to be sure I do not miss anything). My findings: no matter what I do (attack profile)...GBU12 as well as MK´s always go (far) past the designated target, especially the GBU´s. When i pickle the MK´s in a dive with the pipper over the target, and even at lower altitude (2000-3000ft) they either go past or fall short. And it´s no matter of the angel of dive I use nor matter of speed. So the question is: what the heck am I doing wrong as other users report "higher accuracy", I even do not feel that there is an improvement in hitting the target anyway. This is not a critique but more a yell for help :-) ´cause I am lost with A/G bombing in the mirage. And I love this plane. Any help appreciated. Willy
  12. Ok, I think I got your point about the physics. I never thought beyond SAS.. Did some comparison flights with Uh1/Gazelle and yes...the behaviour described is very present in the Huey, not in the Gazelle. The question for me now is....who can confirm the FM vs RL, effect of SAS IRL. Polychop claims testing by RL Gazelle pilots, who can confirm that the FM is close to reality beside that. Thanks for the look insight.
  13. I flew the Gazelle for quite a long time with "easy controls" (setting set in main menu...maybe you want to try that first to get your hands on?) - no issues in handling it after TRAINING (and I crashed the bird often at the beginning after my transition from the huey in DCS). Then I disabled easy controls (after 50+ hrs or so) and it took me some time to get used to the more sensitive FM (it´s all about musccle memory and training). But I have to state: she´s not killing me, she has a superb handling, TO/Landings without problems (FARP, hard surface, grass), I get her into hover as I did with "easy controls", I fly procedures as intended. I read a lot of posts about a "faulty FM" that is "crap". Guys...really I can not state this findings. And I fly it without curves/saturation whatever, just plain warthog stick/throttle (no extension) and Saitek rudder pedals. Are you really sure it´s the flight model that is causing the issue and not your sticks (oszillation, profiles etc), settings or training? I do not know how many hours I have in the gazelle but it´s for sure more than hundred or so. And I guess we all have the same Gazelle, right? @drake: no offense...but you bought it yesterday and you are not able to fly a circuit??? I believe it´s not possible to fly a circuit after you bought it yesterday and I was not able to do so either (especially with "realistic mode"). Polychop did an amazing job with this little bird and I can not say if it´s realistic or not (because I am no helo pilot but fixed wing and I do not fly Gazelles IRL), but to me it feels like it shoud (i.e. light attack helicopter). And I am able to peform the maneuvers she is able to do IRL doing her job. The Huey is easier to fly in DCS (and it feels close to reality of a HUEY as I know because I flew in the back for years with the german airforce SAR IRL). Don´t compare the Huey to the gazelle or the KA-50. All are helicopters, yes...but all are different. I do not say that there´s not room for improvement with the module (the FM) but she´s not what I have to read about in many posts. I am i no way affiliated with Polychop.
  14. Same here. Lock and fire yes, recticle no. No clue where it´s gone :-)
  15. No :-)))) YOU are the seat (transformation ???), your soul or whatever is left after ejection is hanging unter the chute....
  16. ...seems to be different. My apologies if I missed a report on that. Before 1.5.4 (latest release, and DCS repair performed as well)I was in first person view after ejecting = me beeing the one hanging under the parachute. Now I am the seat :-) and see the pilot coming down safely with the chute while the seat crashes into the ground. Is this what is to be expected or am I doing something wrong with my settings? Anyone seen the same?
  17. Exil, my issue seeems not to be the same. I am talking about the LATERAL trim. i.e. "left wing down"/"right wing down" assignement in controls. This is set up in the correct way, controller is working for other aircraft but the gazelle (as it works for example with Mirage 2000). AFAIK there are 2 ways of trimming the Gazelle: 1. nose up/down (which works fine for me despite the thread you quote) 2. left/right (i.e. helo would roll to the left or right) = in fact change direction as it is then in a turn; this does not work for me anymore mag brake and main trim (T) are on. Am I doing something wrong? Is lateral(roll) trim not working anymore in general? (I am not talking about some kind of "rudder trim"!) DCS repair is done, same behaviour; Easy controls on/off does not have any effect on that.
  18. Same ovservation here, hard to find a sweet spot to move constantly in an acceptable speed while taxiing. Like some imbalance of ground friction vs thrust produced. Not really anoying but I as well have to ride the throttle to keep it moving as I want her to move on a taxiway.
  19. as I know the "miracle" of trimming the Gazelle is widely discussed I just want to ask if anyone experieces similiar behaviour: M-loadout, 4 HOT, medium fuel, mag brake on, trim on, AP on or off (does not matter): vertical trim works fine but not "lateral" trim (both trim functions assigned to hat on HOTAS warthog) It seems to be not working at all. As far as I remember I never had this behaviour in earlier release versions, but since 1.5.4-versions. Currently updated to the latest. In earlier versions I was able to fly it "on rails" = climb/descent managed by vertical trim, direction managed by "lateral" trim. In "AP ALTITUDE" mode direction was easily controlled by small inputs in lateral trimming (for example to compensate wind shift). If anyone could provide some information - maybe I am doing something wrong or missed some information on that. The behaviour is not affiliated to "running out of trim" (reported somewhere else in the forum). Thank you in advance Willy
  20. Same here since 1.5.4 As far as I understand a client log is more or less useless, they need a server log (found that information in another post)
  21. Your "running landing" is abit nose down and thus with the skids in front too low (no offense). If you watch autorotation landings of the RL gazelle you´ll see that the skids are slightly UP on front while touching down...not much much but a tiny little bit - and beside this the real gazelle does wobble as well while sliding. It´s hard to judge from inside as we have no "feeling" in simulation, but it´s a matter of training. I have no problem of getting her down on non-paved surfaces in a standard landing, running landings are a different beast. I can confirm that the behaviour on grass is definitely improved with the latest release.
  22. Guys, I know you will hate me for that but as a longtime simmer (decades really, especially with FSX) I always had FPS issues and stuttering no matter what tweaking I did. I was so upset after years that I opened my wallet and got me a new rig (specs below). With all current DCS releases up to 1.5.4 and mods running (like starways textures) I have no issues anymore. I am well aware, that not everyone can afford investing in a complete new hardware but nonetheless: either you give it a try and set up your system completely from the cratch or get powerful hardware. I was one of those simmers that really would not accept such an advice and I tweaked like hell to no avail for years. It´s not 1.5.4 it´s in your rig (either system, settings, corrupt or leftover files, programms running aside consuming power etc etc).
  23. Yes, same here. I guess this is related to the fact that many servers did not update to latest release but wait for "stable release" to do so. For example RIPTIDE (104th), post from 7-1-2016: "Once 1.5.4 hits Stable, we will [update]" So...we have to be patient. Cheers Willy
  24. Shabi....on right lower aft panel (where you have the fuel pumps) CLOSE the "coupe feu" lever (lower row on the right beside VENT switch, protected by red guard switch) and you are fine. Willy OK :-)))) others faster in typing than me :-)))
  25. I found that if you HOLD brakes and THEN engage handbrake aircraft will hold position and not move fwd on idle power. Pls try it yourself and let me know if only I am lucky with that procedure.
