Awesome, pass the word around be interested to talk to anyone. Trying to work a couple of contacts now to get to the air show this year perhaps to be able to sit in the cockpit

I was using 1.5 with a single screen across all four monitors with MF D's on the far right side which ends up on my bottom fourth monitor. In this configuration I still have the two mfds running in the cockpit view. What with the Titan X running at 2K across all four screens I'm getting average frame rates between 85 and 95 peeking around 166. When I went to the ultra MFD application I used the single-camera Lua file spread across three of the monitors and simply dragged the mfds and the CDU to the fourth screen and disabled the mfds in the cockpit. Haven't really tested the difference between the two but really didn't notice any change in smoothness or frame rate. Tried running Ultra MFD on the newest version nttr 2.1 and had several crashes so obviously something changed in the newest version. My personal opinion is this type of functionality should be part of the base package. With the DCS guys working on it we could avoid a third party having to work through all the changes each time a new revision comes out. It's a pretty sweet application especially for new users who want to move the functionality of the MF DS to another screen. It took me about a week of study to figure out how to do it on my original setup.

Please forgive this posting here but I looked at all the other threads and nothing appeared to fit. I'm trying to connect with any DCS "A10 in particular" flyers located in the Michigan Detroit area who would be interested in getting together perhaps a few times a year (or more) to share our love of this SIM. I communicated with Yurgon and he has a group going in Germany and I believe there must be others around the world and here in the States. To the powers to be on the forum.... What would be the best way to establish a section devoted to local user groups where new user group startups (or existing ones) can post looking for interested members and provide links and connections to their group? I tried to PM all the members that have "Michigan USA" in there profile but if many of them are like I was, in the beginning, I didn't know enough to check my PM's. Now I have them tracked and send a email when I get one. But, many new users may not know this and having a track dedicated to promoting local user groups, I think, would just help promote DCS even more. I just found the function under the "COMMUNITY" TAB > MEMBERS LIST and then search under LOCATION. I put in Michigan and got about 40 or so members. Just sent each one a PM inviting them to the mail list and we will take it from there... Last time I was in your beautiful country my partner from Cad Schroer got a number of tickets from the overhead cameras.... Slow is good...!! and safer...!! Good flying...!!!

Yea but you have the autoban so 180 miles is only an hour or so drive time...!!! Here it would be about a 3 hr drive, this is acceptable, not sure how much farther people would be willing to travel.

I have seen a thread outlining a way to dynamically see the placement of models in the mission editor. The method is beyond my ability or desire to undertake. Is there an EASY method to see and adjust the placement of models in the editor??? It is most time consuming to place/save/exit to fly the mission just to see that the orientation or position is off? Dear ED... if this is not possible now is it something worth adding??? I'd gladly pay for it...

Appears to work for my rig Just re-downloaded UMCFD and it appears to be working on my win 10/64 Home..., nice part is that you can disable the cockpit MFD displays which helps with the FPS... Here is my rig, I use the 4th smaller monitor for the MFDs. Tried it a while back.... I tried it a bit ago but was running win 7 on a core I7 920 cpu with a 960 graphics card... It had some bugs that prevented the mfds from displaying correctly. After a long an fierce battle with the LUA files I finally got the MFD's to display on my 4th monitor. I have them enlarged and quite easy to see. I use Voice Attack to control all function buttons now so I don't need the added functionality of the software. However, for a new user who wants to "relatively easily" export and move the MFDs to another screen the product has some promise.. not sure if he has all the bugs out for your OS.

Kippy you are correct this is not a GAME.... but a very complex simulation... Is anyone interested in starting a local user group in Michigan and surrounding area (or does one exist that I don't already know about). As a former CAD CAM consultant I established a number of very successful user groups and the information shared was quite useful to expert and novice alike... I think DCS is a excellent platform to create a user group on... anyone in the Michigan USA area interested???

Many Thanks to Bitmaster After 2 bios updates the problem still remained.. so BIOS was not the issue... Got a reg cleaner and ran several scans, finally got the other apps to respond to keyboard without locking up. But, DCS was still having the issue. All other input devices worked just fine, Joy, throttles, rudder peddles, mouse, throttle, Voice attack and track IR. Just could not use the keyboard without DCS locking up, in SETTINGS or in FLIGHT... While killing the DCS app after a hang I noticed that the app "CAM", monitoring my Kracken CPU cooler, was sucking up some serious CPU %. So I killed it as well. When I returned to DCS the keyboard was now working....!!!! Not sure why a CPU monitor app would cause DCS to hang when I used the keyboard, but... at this point I don't care... I have 1.5 and 2.1.0 working and now starting to play in Normandy and the ASSETS with my P51 (a bugger to fly by the way...) more training...???? I'll post my specs here for future ref. if anyone has a similar problem with kracken or ASUS Mobo. Thanks again BitMaster for the reply and effort to help... Bitmaster Thank you for the quick reply. I was just wondering if anyone had seen a similar situation with any bios or motherboard why is my problem unique to the Asus motherboard. Okay gang here is one for the books. My new rig was running DCS 1.5 just fine but I was having problems with crashes in 2.0. So I updated the BIOS and all went well until I came back in to DCs. Everything works fine with the joystick the rudder pedals and throttle but when I go to use a keyboard command the display freezes, now in both versions. Tried different keyboards same result both versions. I think it might have something to do with a USB driver interface. When I hit a keyboard command it takes forever to respond like it's in a loop somewhere. Has anyone seen a similar problem after bios update?

Another TGP issue is it related??? I don't use a headset just 3 - 27" Raptor Monitors with a 24" NEC for the MFD's, I can see the targets just fine but I have a rough time trying to get a lock in POINT mode, esp. on moving targets. It gets better when I fly right at the targets, but I'd prefer to lock up on them and then turn into for attack. Any suggestions or insights???

Thanks for the replies... I did a deactivate of everything that had a DRM by it 2.0 on my old system. Then opted to do a complete fresh download install on the new system. Started it up, logged in and then prompted to download A10 and Nevada. Keeping SN's in text format also make it easy to copy/paste in new install. All was working great until I tried to get all 4 2K monitors going with my new TITAN X Pascal card. Tried using Physx ?? to span all 4 and DCS took a dump. It starts but then the window goes black and closes. Tried repair no help, in process of reload again... won't try PHYSX again...!!! Thanks for the replies, at least I know how to do it now.... practice makes perfect..!!

Just built new system and want to transfer to it... From what I've gotten from Forum, I need to: Deactivate on old system (from in module manager) Does this include Campaigns, or does the A10c module do it all? IE... if there is no license #, then there is no DRM button, I assume that item does not need deactivation (freebee) ? I then copy the install dir to the new system along with the user dir... since registry is not involved at this point how do I restart and reactivate on new system? Can it be on a different drive letter or does the drive letter need to stay the same? I assume Nevada is treated the same??? Thanks in advance...!!!

Gladman Thanks for the thoughts...!!! I was considering SLI and that is why I also looked at the TITAN since 2 1080's are about the same as a single TITAN. From what I've noticed on my current humble system is that updating to SSD's for OS and the games was the biggest help... esp for NTTR. I had 1.5 on a SSD and NTTR still on the old hard drive and performance really sucked on the NTTR where 1.5 was butter smooth...? When I went to the PCI SSD for NTTR (my bus is only PCI-2 and the SSD wants a PCI-3 but I figure I can always use it later) the performance of NTTR got better but still not as smooth as 1.5. So from what I can see: Must have SSD (fastest you can find, 250 for OS and 512 for games) rest who cares??? CPU is important but don't need to spend really big bucks here, buss speeds on MB are more critical and graphics pipeline. Sys Memory anything above 16 Gig is more than enough Graphics GPU for single or dual screens HD most anything above my humble MSI G-force GTX 960 will do. (again My 860 is a PCI-3 card running on a MSI x-58 Platinum motherboard and 14Gb Corsair 1333 DDR3, uses PCI-2 bus) and 1.5 runs quite well. BUT.... right now I'm running 3 24" displays for main view and 20" for gages. New plans include 3 - 27" 4k displays and one of the 24's I have now for gages. SOooooooooo... How will the new combined version (1.5 + NTTR) run on these displays under full 4K, and when (does anyone know) will the promised merged version be out?? I can wait a month or so for the new cards to be released, but if any longer than that then I'll just go with what's on the market at the time.

Thanks to all for the feedback...!!!! Looks like best vote is a single card... most likely a Titan. I'm running 4 displays on a MSI G-force GTX 960 w/4Gb (this is a pci-3 card in a pci-2 buss) and I'm still getting reasonable (not great) response from 1.5. I've noticed Nevada NTTR is a lot more demanding. New system plans are for 3x27 inch 4k's and a 24 inch below for MCFD exports. Gotta believe I'll need all the GPU I can find. I'm hoping to have a new system ready when they release the new merged version. Any guesses on that one?

Read several debates on 1080 vs Titan... Most come down to this... if game supports SLI the 2 x 1080 is preferred. If game does not support SLI, better off with Titan... So.... DOES ANYONE KNOW FOR SURE IF DCS SUPPORTS SLI ???? Anyone using either setup with DCS 5 or NTTR ??? The idea of this training mission is great... but having said that the implementation leaves some improvement needed. As a newbie I also found it extremely frustrating and not really consistent. Would also like to see the beginning and the ending, on the first mission, separated so a new user can practice the shutdown process without having to go through the entire Mission if he fails the ending.
