  1. Not going too well though is it? I fly the A10c in VR with TM warthog HOTAS. No issues, just like the real thing.
  2. Yep, it comes with all the software.
  3. No, VR is a massive upgrade from flat screens. TrackiR is 20yr old technology, good in its day but laughable now compared to VR.
  4. Nothing sadder than a joke that fell flat.
  5. Make sure your IPD is set correctly on your VR hardware. Google it if you don’t understand
  6. Voice attack and a wireless trackball on my thigh. No problem fighting the A-10C and delivering audience on target with that setup.
  7. Important to run full screen on the desktop so you don't lose focus.
  8. You read on google so it must be true.
  9. It’s a simulator, says so in the title. Games are in a different category.
  10. There’s no blur when setup correctly.
  11. Bably setup VR systems are like that. There's no truth in what you say when it comes to HDM's like the Reverb. If you are going to continue to comment on this subject you should first go and get a clue.
  12. I can see an Il76 at 2 miles in my CV1 so I’m not sure what your malfunction is. Did you update you graphics drivers to the latest versions? I can’t fly or drive on a monitor anymore as it just feels wrong. Track IR with its Linda Blair neck is just utter rubbish and is really just arcade gaming.
  13. I’m getting excellent performance out of a 980Ti and a lesser CPU than the one you quote. Running high quality simulators on the PC is much cheaper now. In 1992 it cost me £600 in upgrades to run Falcon 3.0 and in 2000 I paid £500 for a 22” CRT monitor. You can cry me a river over cost but you’ll get no sympathy.
  14. VR really isn’t that expensive. Also, VR zoom means you can view all instruments in high fidelity. 4K monitor users just love to slag off vr because they suffer from buyers’ remorse.
  15. Yeah, trackir is like operating a drone but with vr you’re in the cockpit and flying.
  16. Yep, the argument about poor resolution has gone now that the Reverb is here.
  17. VR zoom works fine.
  18. This statement is no longer true.
  19. VR, it's amazing. TrackIR is nearly 20yrs old and a rather odd method of looking around. It was great in its day though.
  20. I agree. Some VR users seem to think that a title is only truly VR if they can control it with their VR controllers. This is wrongheadedness. When it comes to hardcore sim fans, all VR is is a graphics package option. DCS is aimed at the hardcore not the arcade crowd. Do hardcorse flight sim fans go over to arcade titles and demand they be made more hardcore? No they don't. The OP should accept DCS for what it is or look elsewhere, imo.
  21. Yes, I'd like an affordable VR gun put there isn't one. There are plenty of affordable HOTAS systems though. Anyway, at least you now agree that a physical thing is better than trying to control a VR thing with VR controllers. Imagine trying to drive a racing sim by moving the VR wheel with VR hand controllers!
  22. My multi-million setup? More laughable statements. Next you'll be claiming that a stock isn't better that controllers on their own for firing machine guns in FPS.
  23. Well, for pure immersion, I'll just stay with my TH Warthog HOTAS. It's just laughable to suggest that something like a pair of Touch controllers is more immersive than HOTAS.
  24. Yeah, the immersion is preserved for me. I won’t be building a pit with all the buttons and switches in it and I still don’t see button pressing as all that interesting.
