  1. Make sure that Oculus Home isn’t in demo mode as that will stop any app after 20min.
  2. Right, but you do understand that precise synchronized isn’t required due to what I just explain to you?
  3. All this panic about physical things not being the exact size and in the exact place as their VR counterparts is unwarranted. The human brain will realign the position based on what it sees basically overriding the fact the position is off. It’s the same for the size of objects. Don’t overthink, is my advice.
  4. I don’t have any of the problems in DCS that you mention. Are you using VR zoom?
  5. Stop looking at the frame counter is my advice.
  6. If you do crazy things like reading instructions then you can do things like turning off ASW.
  7. They are just sitting at a remote drone operating station though. Everything out of VR is just simlite, in my opinion.
  8. To me, that's a dull experience. Looking at a flat, miniature world through a window is just laughable after VR. I've never had much of a problem with DCS performance in VR and find the graphics perfectly acceptable. People should probably go back over your past contributions to VR threads rather than take this one in isolation. Where others have looked for and found workable solutions you have just given up.
  9. You're in a VR cockpit now with all the physical restrictions that comes with it. Can't you just deal with it like real pilots do?
  10. Your opinions are too often expressed as facts. Fact is I can deploy the 10c without restrictions from vr.
  11. Have you not set up VR zoom? Have you not tried VoiceAttack and its ability to put the mouse over a switch via a voice command? Your issues have been solved!
  12. I suppose if you've paid out all the money for all those buttons, you're gonna wanna press 'em.
  13. Guppy, sitting in a mocked up cockpit and looking through a small window at another, miniature cockpit in a miniature world, is something a lot of us can't accept anymore. I have no problem deploying the A-10C or the F-18 in VR without a feeling that my control is compromised. I don't know why you insist VR is a 'gimmick' beyond maybe a feeling of buyer's remorse. I've got the TM Warthog HOTAS, JetSeat, TM pro rudders, all in a nice sim rig. All of the VR 'problems' people put forward, as part of their remorse, have all been solved. When VR goes 4k, you'll have an 8k. You'll never be happy with VR until it equals or exceeds your monitor fidelity.
  14. Of course the additional improvement in picture quality between 1080p and 4k is negligible and only leads to more 4K monitor buyer's remorse, which they all too often want to take out on VR.
  15. A PC like mine is cheap now. I see from your specs that you need massive hardware for your monitor experience.
  16. Exactly but the lie is still pushed around. Buyer's remorse is a terrible thing. :pilotfly:
  17. There's enough money on offer from an awful lot of, let's face it, very well off people. You only have to look at the TM Warthog and a myriad of other flight sim and sim racing related products to realise companies will develop VR at the very least for that same market.
  18. Yet another fallacy. Also, you talk about immersion but sit in front of a monitor/drone station experience. Simpit builder's remorse?
  19. You could always use the head tracking mouse and voiceattack.
  20. Sigh, someone else who hasn't setup VR zoom. I've not encountered one single problem in VR was wasn't overcome with extreme ease.
  21. Massive hardware is not required. My PC is 3 years old and my card is a 980ti. I’m over the moon with the performance and tweaking only took a few hours initially with a bit more now and then as new builds of DCS and graphics drivers come out. Of course, as proved by the real F-18 who compared VR to TiR, the later is next to hopeless when it comes to flying in formation. I think a lot of the VR negativity comes from people with 4K monitor buyer’s remorse.
  22. I watched that video of Mover and his buddy flying and it was completely conclusive proof that VR is quite natural and the only thing miss was the gforce and graphic fidelity. Now, shall we list the things missing in TiR? 1. feeling 2. Flat 3. Not to scale 4. Not 1:1 tracking 5. Lacks immersion 6. Allows cheating with rubber neck
  23. What are you on about? :noexpression:
  24. and they are such a sad bunch, truly pathetic really. DCS on a flat screen is like playing with a cup 'n' ball compared to VR.
