so weird to some people getting much improved VR performance while others are reporting big loss ?! this will only make ed's job harder for knowing what's working and whats not

not obsurd if we have no choice and that's what it takes for them to seriously put manpower to do something about it. Without proper performance I simply dont play DCS and put my money elsewhere.

Yes fully agree with you. DCS is falling way behind in true progress compared to other flight sims. Adding features/bellsnwhistles to broken code is just distraction not progress.

That is great to hear, but in my opinion you guys released 2.5.6 way too early without enough proper internal testing , even for a beta.

thats what I did. Much happier now that I'm back with beta 2.5.5. ED should have never released 2.5.6 before they could at least evaluated it internally better.

Just as I thought latest beta 2.5.6 performance still crap. I don't get ed they keep doing updates but completely miss the mark on performance being worse than ever! Obviously they dont read their own forum bug threads! Shame:doh:

NEVER have the ASW on when evaluating performance! It will give false actual fps readings. You cannot turn ASW off in windows, you need to do it from your particular hmd tool. Example for Pimax it is pitool, for oculus it is oculus tray tool, etc....

I ALWAYS double-check my nvidia settings- no change there. Those VR shaders and that hotplug certainly help but still does NOT even get close to the fps I had with beta 2.5.5!

which version of dcs? release 2.5.5,beta2.5.5, or beta2.5.6(hope not, fps horrible in this version)?

why not do as many of us do- just revert to 2.5.5. All is relatively well there....except no mp servers I beleive

nah lets face it VR is here to stay, especially for sims. Anyways performance issue is in 2D too!
