Hi I would like to buy this campaign but I hear the missions are up to 2 hours long. That's way too long for me to play in one sitting. Can the mission be saved at some point so I can finish at later time?

I think I'm late to this party cuz it seems like last entry was a while ago so not sure if ED have not given up on VR optimizations(hope not cuz without VR there is no DCS for me). Anyhow here is my test results with latest beta 2.5.5.41371. I am getting 60-70fps with UH-1 heli on normandy map(visibility set to low) using pimax5K+, 8700K cpu, gtx1080ti grfx. Mind you I have steamVR render resolution set to 50%. I think this could be a reason why so many are getting different results maybe that steamVR render res is set to higher/lower or at default, which is auto (and so steamVR decides what res you get based on hardware).

DCS VR optimizations Hi everyone, A couple of months ago ED had stated in their newsletter that they would put some love into VR in the form of performance optimizations. So before I re-install ED's DCS I would like to know if these VR optimizations were actually done and released please?

Heuy cargo cam not working! Using oculus VR

Using DCS v2.5 openbeta, Huey cargo cam not displaying (in VR using oculus). Cargo indicator works fine though.

That is ASW side effects. You can try to disble ASW, which should eliminate that but then probably introduce judder. Your actual source of the problem is probably your graphics and/or cpu bottlenecking.

OK Op here, I installed 391-.01 and all is good for me.

Has anyone tried latest nvidia drivers 391.01 in DCS (using oculus VR)?? Edit: all is good with me with 391.01

Finally!! Yes profile worked. I can finally disable asw in DCS when I want. Thankyou for that suggestion.

Not using any profile. Using latest non-beta oculus home.

I don't get any "ghosting" in warthunder, elite dangerous or any other game I play, so don't think it is my headset. I am quite sure it is ASW artifact. Edit: Finally found a way to disable ASW in DCS(using profile in oculus tray tool), and the aircraft flying by double-images are gone! However overall game judder now introduced. One step forward and one step back. Guess DCS is much more demanding than warthunder or elite dangerous. I already have a GTX1080 ,guess it is time to upgrade my cpu/mobo.

Really - no difference with a 8700k? Damm such a shame. We are talking about DCS v2.5 right?! Right now DCS freaking unplayable in VR for me with my GTX1080 turbo. I don't understand how quite a few people say that they are running DCS pretty smooth and with no double-images on planes flying by...but then again they are using gtx1080ti version, so maybe that's the ticket?? Katdog how is DCS running for you? Aircraft double-images?

So have you tried using 8700K yet?

The 50% max I reported was while I was monitoring all 4 cores(no cores go over 50%). Not sure how to monitor just for DCS.
