How did you get the ASW to go off?? No matter what I do, I see the gunsight with that awfull asw artifacting. Tried Oculus debug tool, Oculus tray tool and the above registry hack- nothing removes it for me in DCS.

lol this is why I never ended up selling my DK2 and am still using it today for DCS and Elite Dangerous, while I wait for my pimax8K. Never found the rift or vive enough of an improvement over the DK2 to justify paying 500-1000$ canadian

I'm using normal live oculus (not beta) and for me too it's for sure ASW does not turn off for DCS. Tried oculus tray tool, ctrl-1, oculus debug tool -- nothing works to remove ASW for DCS.

Thanks guys. It's just that when I saw that only 50% usage on cpu and 90%usage on my graphics card that maybe the problem was the 1080 and not the cpu?!

Hi yall, I'm presently running with cpu 4670, GTX1080 turbo(non-ti), 12GB mem. I notice alot of stutters, and double-image aircraft when they fly by which makes the game suck for me in VR. So I'm thinking of upgrading to new pc with 8700K cpu, but, before I do I like to know if anybody here thinks it will be worth the 1500$ I need to dish out for new cpu/pc? From task manager, the cpu usage was only 50% where graphics often soared to 90%!!...so now not sure if cpu/memory upgrade will do the trick. Opinions please?

Trust me , flying without stable reference for your hand(i.e. physical stick) will make for some very clumsy flying, especially helicopter flying. It would be downright stupid for a true sim like DCS to take that wii-type route.

Cargo cam definitely not working for me, whereas cargo indicator works fine.. Funny thing, when I press escape to pause the game I can then see the cargo cam semi-transparent. As soon as I resume game it's gone. Is there something special I need to do? Using v2.2 openalpha

ahh yes im using unlimited ammo. Thanks. Funny though firing gun in huey does produce rumble with unlimited ammo.

Anyone know if it's normal not to feel any rumble on jetseat when firing guns on spitfire (using simshaker aviator)?

I am running simshaker for aviators on DCS, but do not feel any rumble on my jetseat when firing guns on my spitfire?!

I read over the mission editor manual and tried to add weapons by adding helicopter group. I found the weapon loadout options but none show door gunners, only ext guns and missiles. Still I would be happy for now with that at least I get to do more than just fly around. However, after I press fly mission in the editor , it brings me to the game and can see the loaded external guns, but I have no control of the heli. I beleive it's jsut allied bot heli. How do I set the loadout in MY heli?

I see. By the way I meant only "fast missions" are available as there are no "instant action" available missions (I edited original post). I do not have enough hd space nor time/bandwidth to download another 30GB for version 1.5. I wish it were more clear on the dcs website when I bought the huey module that it does'nt really support 2.2. Anyhow, I guess I'm stuck for what I have for now. So are you saying I can at least add guns/weapons thru mission editor then?

I recently bought huey heli with normandy dcs 2.2 but I cannot find a way to have door gunners/guns visible. How do I get them to appear? also, only "fast mission" is available for the huey in 2.2.

is the huey heli capable of co-op multiplayer where a buddy of mine can be copilot in my huey?

DCS 1.5 or 2.1/Normandy? -- which is performing better in VR please?

I know how you feel! I too would sooo wish DCS ran smoothly in VR. In the meantime I now play warthunder, which is SUPER unbelievably smooth in VR even in full sim mode. I suggest you do the same to get your flying combat fix ....for now until ED get moving on giving VR more love
