I am not discouraged with mp I am discouraged with stutters and slide show, too low fps for proper smoothness. I am in VR and for me immersive is first. When ED fixes performance I'll try mp again.

This was first time multiplayer for me and unfortunately probably my last. I could not deal with slide show even on my high-end system.. not fun. Back to 2.5.5 single playing. I am very sad for this. But thankyou guys this had so much potential.

you are correct about the asw kicking in. So I disabled ASW and now most of my 6 cores are under 50% and one is up to 80% max. For the graphics usage it's now up to 80% max. So not sure if all this helps the developers

By the way not sure if this helps in ED's DCS betaperformance debugging but I noticed only 50% max usage of my gtx1080ti and only 40% cpu usage in 2.5.6?!!

ok got past that landing, landing as you guys said worked. Thank you But now I getting stuck at after the first bridge visual inspection where the 2 tires are. I finish the inspection and Hans too and then Peter tells me to fly back while wolf1 continues----but fly back to where?? s/m ,home, bridge 2? where is that bridge 2? Getting to be frustrating Instructions are soo fast no time to read them as they disappear too fast(never mind trying to listen cuz it's not intelligible)

I always double-check the dcs settings after an update, and I assure you there was no changes with them.

All settings used in both versions exactly same. and same mission, same scene, same everything! So clearly performance loss in 2.5.6 has nothing to do with settings

yes but disabling shadows always gives great fps boost.In other words, now to have back the same performance we need to disable shadows? no thanks I love shadows, especially in VR. ,at least flat shadows!

But that is not proper way to land on slopes in real life. Watch any youtube videos on real life slope landings and they tell you you are suppose to land sideways, upslope skid first.

My nvidia driver is 441.87 and still big fps drop on 2.5.6. Nice try but no can do. Maybe I will try 3xx version and see edit: never mind nvidia not having any 3xx drivers available for download anymore, except one beta version (no thanks) Anyway my nvidia driver works very well in beta 2.5.5 and other games, so that is not the solution. How do we disable track replay in dcs?

thanks! Any tips on landing at that overwatch position in the mountains? Its a slope landing and on top of that I get blinded by whiteout from the dirt so always end up crashing there.

Thankyou. So far Im enjoying the campaign very much. It's the only thing I look forward to in this covid home lockdown. The only thing that I would say needs improvement is some of the voice-overs, which force me to miss cues and redo the missions. Problems are with hearing(volume too low) and/or understanding(too strong accents/speaking to fast). Peter is the only one that is clear.

same here a good 15fps drop in beta 2.5.6, when playing exact exact same mission on beta 2.5.5. Not playable so reverting back.

Hi there In mission 4 Peter tells me to set checkpoint Sierra Mike frequency to 52.5MHZ "just in case" on ARC-131 radio, but then later(and in the kneeboard info) says 52.00MHZ. So which one is it please 52.0 or 52.5MHZ?? Thank you

the problem is that it seems multuplayer severs are all using openbeta 2.5.6!! I too have lost fps in beta 2.5.6. I have lost about 15fps when compared to beta 2.5.5 in exact same map,same airfield, same huey, in the day. This makes it unplayable for me now so I will be reverting back to beta 2.5.5 and unfortunately no multiplayer for me until they fix it (or multiplayer servers revert too). Having rolled back for obvious reasons glad to report fps mucho better AND surprised to see quite a few mp servers still on 2.5.5. Very happy now
