  3. I agree. I did some little bird scouting for the 2 Longbows in "Battlefield 2: Project Reality Mod" and it was totally awesome. Still Longbow or Black Shark teams should be equal fun.
  4. I am not familiar with the original but awesome detail on the Apache's nose (and also the truck of course :-D).
  5. From what I understood we will get the D model. It would definitely rock to be able to chose if the radar is mounted or not in coop. I hope this is true. I understand that compared to the beam riding AT rockets of the KA-50 the Longbow system is quite an overkill. Still radar seeker heads of the Hellfire could be limited in the campaign and force the use of laser variants.

  7. The nodding movement of the gun made me nervous. Looks like a weird malfunction or what is that. Also is that the engines of the Cobra we hear or of another machine nearby?
  8. Apache in DCS will make a lot of people happy. Including me. But that's old news of course.

  11. There should at least be collision boxes for forests and individual boxes for trees in towns. Arma's maps are not as big but also have thousands of trees that can be knocked over individually. So I would definitely accept a much smaller map but added realism. After all I am not interested in fast movers simulated here at all. The helicopter community had to pass since Longbow 2.
  12. Yes something along the lines of IL-2 or FS10 would be nice.
  13. MI-28, because of lack of other whirley birds that would enforce co-operative team play. I would love to see some scout or transport helicopters so coop missions could be flown online.
  14. I prefer a mix. In F4 I just used the keyboard for commands that are often needed and easily remembered. The other stuff is easy to do by looking for the button and clicking it in the cockpit. So if the functions that are important in flight are mapped to keys than I am fine. Also we will have to see how TrackIR and DCS really mixes. It could be very easy to click with the mouse or difficult depending on TrackIR settings. Personally I often had problems in games like IL2 with TrackIR because it does not focus like the human eye does and therefore visibly moves all the time (at least my head does) so the clicking might not be that easy.
  15. Enemy Engaged had nice windscreen weather effects in its old days. Good weather effects are definitely a must have for mud movers and tree huggers :-D
  16. thanks! Finally some cockpit view ingame footage and a true chopper sim with trees. I've been harrassing friends with the line "Yay! It has powerlines!" for some time with recent games, but none of them was a simulation. So really looking forward to this one.
