  1. Given some of the information in the Natops . In DCS, what happens if you turn off all the sas?... Particularly in pitch Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  2. Good flick Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  3. Great video Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  4. The f-15 is stable. It's the F-16 that was the first fourth generation aircraft that is unstable. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  5. High aspect ratio wings have lower induced drag.... Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  6. I don't spell check or anything I just do voice to text that's all I do. I can't stand typing on the phone Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  7. With a normal glide slope of 3.5 degrees in the groove your picture be around 7.3 degrees or so. In comparison to the hornet you are around 4 degrees in pitch. with that said due to the higher alpha requirements because of the weight on the F-14 you are slightly more pitch on glide slope Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  8. Gentlemen, Those charts only show one part of the equation. there's another part of the equation it's in there that you're not seeing. this is what they found out when the f-14a win against the F-15a because on paper the latter was supposed to dominate the fight. Those charts are this there to supplement it doesn't tell you everything. There are parts of the envelope where the 14a is better than the 14b. I watched that video last night... All 2 hours of it. It was insightful it's going to teach a lot of people that hamfist a lot how to fly a plane. unfortunately you'll never feel the seat of the pants. you can see his habits are is to pull hard and then he controls himself by watching the alpha which actually hinders his situational awareness as he acclimates himself to the flight Dynamics. The buffeting cues are there so you don't have to keep your eyes pegged to the alpha gauge. You see that it is a plane that will talk back to you. In the early stages of development the f-15 did the same thing. The infamous bitburg roll which is essentially adverse yaw into snap roll in the f-15. If you were to look at the Psub charts you'll see at the transonic region where your positive acceleration are. You will note there's not that much difference between the F-16 the f-15 and the F-14b. I remember a puking dog in a F-14b talking about dog fighting the f-15s from Langley at the republic forum. He basically stated that the f-15 couldn't out-climb him couldn't out turn him and all he could do in the fight was try to out roll him away which f-15 pilots were known to do. Roll, pull, roll, pull... I don't got this plane is going to disappoint a lot of people in the ACM arena because expectations are high. There's going to be a lot of work involved to master it Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  9. The big engine f-14s spiraling upward will usually out turn the F-16 based on reading and discussing at the F-14 association. This is usually around 250 knots. Regardless of which variant there is a snapshot opportunity for the F-14 to get on the F-16. However, the f-16s energy retention is eye-watering! Of course, it's low speeds it is handicapped by the AOA limiter which means point ability is nil. I suggest you go on YouTube and look up Okie . He is a F-14 pilot talks about dog fighting the F-14 against the F-16 in the a Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  10. At Mill power with the f110 engines, that is approximately stage 1 or stage 2 in the tf30. there is not enough water authority at slow speeds to control a y'all condition if one engine was the flame out while on afterburner takeoff on the f110. At sea level at low speeds the TF30, a pair is approximately 35k lbs whereas the F110 is around 47k lbs. with that cited that is a big difference in force. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  11. It's about time Buffett be modeled! Even the f-15 supposed to have Buffett Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  12. Sorry, unless an aircraft company or military uses it to aid in training...it's a game. Could it reach the PCTAD level? Perhaps but no one is using DCS to train UTPs Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  13. I don't see the wings moving forward and aft .. I noticed his AirSpeed the wing shouldn't have been forward. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

  15. //rant on I'll just wait to buy it when it's done. I have been down this road before with other products.. If there's was a publisher, this would have been released by now or cancelled. Perfectionism which isn't a bad trait but this isn't a full fledged training simulation. No product is ever perfect.. what exactly is the showstopper (s)? Not arguing.... but this is a pattern with a pause and then an update. It seems you guys are setting expectation high and higher and product isn't released. Trying to create a new level .. great! But you can always upgrade it later to another level afterwards. I'll follow the updates but you're killing the enthusiasm for me... Another setback because we aren't happy.. again.. how long have we been waiting? Regardless how you look at it, ED is the only game in town and they will always upgrade the base... I know some are going to take this personal - it's the internet - get over it. \\ rant off Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  16. Mach drag profile lower Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  17. Why don't you both just agree to disagree? These type of debates go one forever look at F-16. Net. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  18. Expounding further, the luftwaffe mug 29 went against the f14a of the either the -41 or 14. They had gunzo matches, the 14a got some kills. The 14a is a machine under 10k. With GE engines and against the 15c, they were matched well. The only difference was roll rate. I spoke to a puking dog about kills on the 15c he said, they can do much against us, they can't out climb us anymore. They slow, we got them. What's rolling going to do? A f16 aggressor pilot spoke about the 14. He said in a 250 knot fight spiraling upward, the cat is hard to beat with the GE. He said that the plane can get a snap shot on the 16 if they know how after merge. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  19. Flash Gordon son of Flash, took on F15s from Langley and he also coughed a TF 30. He gunned them down with in engine. There are 14 drivers that have gunned down F4, A4, F15, F16, f18.. etc. And vice versa. The F14 isn't as dated as you think. Paper or chart flying doesn't tell the whole story. The F14 flew out of plane Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  20. Hmm..I have never heard of Angels solely being for friendlys Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  21. Yaw authority low for GE engines.. no ab on TO Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  22. It's in natops Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  23. Having worked on the F-14 simulation, the wing sweep is too slow for a low G operation unless his roll was way too fast Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  24. So basically the F-14 AFCS was the last pilot's plane. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
