  1. Those planes are not even in the same design criteria. That 18 hornet was never a long-legged designed fighter. The f18 replaced the F-14 due to politics as the latter was the top plane to go to in theater. Cut any assembly line any plane's maintenance hours go up. It's common sense. 2. you guys just want the Delta because of the airspeed on the hud.. haha Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  3. Awesome tracks! Wish we could see speed v G Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  4. Bags or tanks on any plane lower the limit during peace time. Putting a them on wing pylons big drag issue as well. Think.. 15, 16, ..18.. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  5. Over 400 Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  6. Hummingbird, Did you save any tracks? Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

  8. You haven't read any part of this thread have you? Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  9. People that start off in newer aircraft will have difficulty going to an older aircraft because the FCS hides their hamfist/heavy handed tendencies. I don't think the flight models are equal in quirks or traits. The F-18, 15 like all aircraft have them. What variant of the CAS is modeled in the F-15? The analog version had a tendency to do adverse yaw to snap roll.. ala. 'bitburg roll'. Both 18 and 15 have buffeting cues. The F14 I am happy models AFCS not DFCS. The latter while cleaned up a lot of traits, I was told . Some of the old maneuvers you could not to do as you did with AFCS. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  10. "miss'iles... Miss.. they aren't called .."hittles"... Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  11. Great videos Hummingbird! You can see the differences with the rate versus radius. You see the Psub are very similar. Like I was told by B/D pilots, the Eagles can just out roll them.. Keep up the great work Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  12. If this happens... I would like to see a video of it please. Thank you in advance Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  13. I find this thread so much hilarious. it really shows a lot of you guys just really pull and are so used to the hud information. It seems that some of you can't adapt to a plane to find out where the G meter. located. just flying to understand the plane instead of just trying to go into combat with it. Use some common sense Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

  15. You realize bfm is all dynamic right? There is no set ironclad rule. You read the situation react accordingly and capitalize on a mistake. you could also play The bait game trying to get your enemy to play your game. The problem is you're used to fly by wire aircraft in are used to ham fisting. I wish some of you played James f-15e stick games on that were so sensitive you literally had to fly it half stick or play with the stick games. That plane was heavy to maneuver. Anyhow, saying to say 400 knots in F14 kind of ludicrous. I do recall most of them starting to fight at 450 knots but some energy and read what the situation is and go from there. Your sweet spot in your best turn right will always be around the 320 knot range. However, that also is dependent on your altitude any amount of weight you have. Lighter you are that never drops down lower. The reason why they said 275 was at 6.5g.. that's a light plane!. I remember the days of Janes F18. No one fought as fast as you guys are doing over 400 knots tear it we primarily fought between 180 knots to 340 knots. Sure we started the merge off fast but we saw where are bandit was in read the situation and acted accordingly. I do believe some of you rely on on the turn charts. I also think you should be reading the power excess charts as well that makes you understand where the power is at when you drop your nose or pick your nose up. Another thing I learn from talking with some of the pilots was that most of them did not staying a sustained turned for more than 50 degrees. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  16. I think a lot of people are confusing transient performance versus turn performance they are not the same thing. I said this same thing on a YouTube video that I watched. The turn performance is there in the aircraft you have to use your brain your noodle on how to dogfight with the aircraft. I see a lot of videos out there that fight with this aircraft with way too much speed and it looks like you're arcing across the sky doing nothing. I do believe a lot of you yanking bank and pull as hard as you can because that's what you're used to because of previous flight models give you that ability thanks to their flight control systems and fly-by-wire. In my opinion most of those planes are flying way too perfect I've argument this during my flight Sim time with the dod arguing Lockheed Martin engineers and with streamlight time with them I ended up fixing all of their stuff they made wrong within less than 30 days!. Was my time with the dod I flew with a lot of pilots in the simulation and listen to them talk and listen talk about tactics. If you're on YouTube .. look for growling sidewinder you should watch him. He doesn't yank and Bank .. hamfist. He has very few hours on the F14 b and I was impressed what he put up there against the MiG-29. the F14 talks back to you it makes you a better pilot because you have to listen to what the plane is telling you. The other planes you just control it. The plane isn't for everybody. there's a reason why the old time pilots are a whole lot better at these older planes because these newer ones are basically refined aircraft with abs and vehicle stabiility systems. Race car drivers don't use any of that crap... Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  17. Those are operational limits of the stores end of the airframe. I don't know if heatblur has the drag indexes modeled. When I did flight simulations for work my f110 engine f-14b kept going past what was stated of documents above because you are the governor of the speed. It took a long time to get up there. I don't know the criteria that they had but I have to be within 1% of what was listed. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  18. You guys are spoiled. Sorry I guess you need to fly other types of planes in just the top of the line current models. You need to see how evolution of technology and design happens. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  19. Couple things I've noticed in all of these messages on here. a high aspect ratio wings (wings at less than 22-25 degrees, like a glider, like the A10. Does the following, low induced drag which means great sustain turn rate because the thrust requirement is low. Which is the opposite of a low aspect wing like an f-15 or the mirage and where you have a lot more induced drag thus thrust requirement is higher in turns. as I explained on grim reapers video, the aerodynamic Center on the F-14 moves to the rear as the wing sweep app or as you increase wing sweep angle Gus you lose your maneuverability and turn performance.. and like I stated above, as the wings move back your aspect ratio changes from high to low and the thrust requirement changes. From what I've been reading also, I'm assuming that they modeled ground effect on the F-14? now who am I? You can ask hey Joe, but I worked on several military flight simulations for the dod and as well as the civilian world. will every type of graphical errors on this? Probably so cuz I talk to my phone doing this Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  20. Ground effect . Dump lift maintain G/S Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

  24. The programmer work does this.. if you set to bomb mode and you are faster than the preprogrammed channels (3 of them) which is dependent on altitude and Mach. It will automatically sweep the wings aft as per the schedule. If you reach the conditions for 55 sweep and slower then and only then you will the wings return to this setting to be locked at 55. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  25. Lol sorry... Typical hamfister!! Yank and bank.. the f-15 .. you can't just pull the stick.its recommended half stick. All planes give buffeting cues.. but only the 14 has it modeled Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
