hehe I also used racing pedals for rudders, and for IL-2 I duct taped the steering wheel on the side of my chair for elevator trim. :)
Worked perfectly, I used to have a pair of CH pedals (the basic ones) and I thought the racing pedals worked just as well... (As did the CH pedals and flight yoke for racing btw ;) )..
I think ruddering with the twistgrip thingy found on many sticks works pretty well in IL-2 and lockon, but rudder pedals are much much better and more immersive! And for BS it'll definetly be a must I think..
I'm building my own rudder pedals right now, with toe brakes and all, and me brother has a usb pic-processor circuit design that can be programmed for handling sim-gear. :D I'm also planning to build a collective! I'll post some pictures some time...
Anyway, pedals make alot of difference I thinks!! You should definetly get them, the Saiteks look very good (I've never tried them myself though)..
