  1. I guess if you dont use vr or high frame rates it will not seem to stutter.

Yes everything above was already done, then after first 2.1 update that was friday (as i understand the last friday update as all other will be on wednesday from now on) we get significant stutters, that were not present in the first iteration of 2.1. And these stutters are only in MIG-21 as all other modules are running fine in the same conditions and missions;)
  3. Hi guys. Tried instand action Nevada intercept mission in VR, heavy stutters every half a second! Did take A-10C in the same mission runs smooth! So deffinetly something with Mig-21 performance as stutters so hard it is not enjoyable to fly! I think i didnt see that in First 2.1 Nevada iteration.

Jesli Zahochish Novuju Nevadu i Normandiju PD okolo 1.8-2.0 to tut tolko 1080TI, 1080 ne hvatit. Sam sizhu na Kavkaze PD 1.8, Nevada 1.2, Normandija 1.0. No tut nadu skazatj sto 7700k 5.0ghvz i 1070 toze 2.1ghz. taksto dlja VR zhelezo nado TOP. Jesli Pixel Density ne vikruchivatj to hvataet i 1070.
  5. +10000 For example if PD is 2.0 make far contacts 4 pixel in size not 1. THIS will be dream come true high PD + far targets.
  6. +1 i have same conclusion! Looks like 1080Ti only for 2.1 with pixel density higher than 1.0-1.2.

  11. So guys as I am struggling with VR performance as you are I found that lowering PD below 1 made an improvment! Maybe 2.1 really needs 2x horspower than 1.5? I mean i lowered PD in NEVADA to 0.8 and saw improvments, i looked at the gpu and asw and my conclusion is that in L-39 quick start mission Camp attack (basicly flat Nevada ground and some 10 units) PD 0.8 is ok (cannot say definetly if asw kicked in) 1.0 is on the edge but 1.2 is already too much for my overclocked 1070! The shortage of gpu power is best seen flying low and looking at the ground down under. This is wierd as small amount of objects is drawn this way only ground quite close but fast! This really needs horse power! Can someone comment this? Is there guys with 1080 and TI and that l-39. Can u please rerun that instant action camp attack mission! Fly around low looking at your wingtip, i am really interested at which PD you start to struggle! Cause in 1.5 i can run as high as 1.7- 1.8 depending on situation;) All above in 2.1 was done with deffered shading - ON!
  12. The problem is that Vr need 90 if less picture is jiddery, it not as in monitor jidderness is not equal in every eye so picture beomes corrupt!
  13. +10000000000000000 Performance in VR even in 1.5 wasn`t good and in 2.0 it wasn`t super as well! Making it worse is utterly BAD! It should be a priority! Please give us sliders to turn off options as far as one green poligon on the ground and one blue in the sky. WE NEED 90fps no less that 45 asw that is not a life saver in any way! I really want to see real world scenario with COMBAT where we can see 90fps. DCS - digital COMBAT simulation. 20 units on the ground, 10 in the sky with radars some hellis and smokes and no way you see 90fps with any super PC. I am no tourist to fly alone. Sry for being so emocional, simply gertting VR all high end gear and still with every update seeing no BIG steps in performance but one step back, then in next update things back to normal, one step then back to normal! WE NEEED ONE step forward in performance department!!!! Even if it costs us visual fidelity! Is it hard to make shadow option for cockpit shadows only? (as an example) Frustration.

  15. I reallly like the new graphics thx, but please check VR performance indeed cause it is barely tolerable in real world scenario with other units.
  16. Yeah but the fact is performance you`re measuring is in the best scenario. In reality where some units are, helis and planes, you are seeing spitfires jiddering pipper all the time :/
  17. Yeah but VR need 90fps and 45 is like walking with one leg already, asw needs to be a brief performance saver not judder. But grasp for 45 as a start point is a bad idea thing simply isnt as enjoyable. Fingers crossed that devs will sort the fps.

  19. I just wonder why in every advertisement, we were told that performance is on par with Nevada, but nobody told that both nevada and normandy will plumit fps in half! Really hope devs will look into this i have to admit new lighting with shadows look awsome just that ve cannot enjoy any of this even on worlds best pc:/ Maybe clouds are making issues with fps gotta look into that today;)
  20. This is very interesting! Can you make a video of that... havent seen any VR Normandy expierience with good framerate. Not a single one with proof of stable fps :noexpression:
  21. I have same issues, performance is bad even with i7 7700k @ 5.05Ghz:( Nearly with all settings low, but thats only halve the problem. That overly manly brightness, that is total overkill! I have to say in VR as much as i love all the gizmos 1.5 is more playable. Of course I hope things will change but I havbe to say Nevada is smooth because there are no objects but with Normany treees everywhere so U look at the wingtip and get that bad jiddering that you hate.
  22. Thx for the info! But in Nevada map Mig-21 had very low framerate issues if flown near other plane, has that been sorted in the normandy and nevada 2.1?
  23. Yep thnx i could made it more readable just was in a hurry with phone. What i meant about locking target far away is: 1. if it goes straight to you use your r3r, but you have to learn timing, best practice is to shoot two of them in pairs with separation, that way the first missile is fired much further than opponents aim9 so he has to go defensive and will not be able to shoot aim9, but the second one is needed, if the first one misses (it should miss as the distance is high and missile will have no power to track target). As well after two fired r3r you will be right in the merge territory so if you got off your both r3r off the load on wings is equal! 2. If locket target still goes low and does low level manouvers or doesnt even bother about your lock - fly towards it from high above look for it by checking radar lock position and your pipper zoom in your view as soon as you see your contact, you have options depending on situation, but usuually you should at this point turn off you radar and track target with youre eyeballs, if you want silent kill go for r60m, if you got r3r left, take your vertical scan lock (beam mode or how you call that radar mode) And really fast lock and launch missile, usually target will not react fast enough to do anything about it. But this has to be done fast! Hope this time it is more readable! And as usually i have last one comment use youre flares before aim9 is launched it will greatly increase chance of missile not hitting you, just ther matter that flares end fast this way, so it depends in what kind of sh*^t you are. And the last last one, if boogey is on your six with guns and you cannot shake it offand you are slow (400-500km/h) already but not superslow (300km/h), pull stick hard, air brakes out and full flaps out just for brief second then, get back to normal and try not to crash or get engine flameout 4 out of 5 times if f-5 was close enough it will go past you, when it does dont rush in getting your pipper on him, youve just gained advantage, keep manouvaring and you will soon be in position for gun fire. This all has to be done in emergency afterburner mode as far as my knowladge goes, with regular afterburner no significant advantage can be gained in rotating with f-5 but that little extra boost give you that extra that can outmanuver f-5, just make shure you are not full on fuel and your missiles are dropped as well as the fuel tank ofcourse. Another tip of the day by me :D

Oh sry for so many posts, but very good training can be done by yourself guys: in download section there is a mission for mig-21 against four f-15, yes FOUR. basicly 4 mig-21 (one of them U and 4 f-15) And it is doable! ok not the first second third.... but on 100 time you will be succesfull and after some time maybe can pull it of on your first time. Have to say ton of fun u will have after your 100 try where you will be able to seee in far distance a smalll oportunitie in theory to maybe if lucky hit that first f-15!
  25. And my biggest respect for those who use som l-39 or hawk or korean planes! I sometimes have hard feelings taking them down cause mig-21 feels like best plane in the world after u try that server with l-39! And as u already know i have another tip! Hit and run with mig-21 u can do it, f-5 nop! And last but not the least protect awacs not your kill ratio;)
