Hello, how do you remove the front hood without damaging anything, please? Thank you for your reply.

Oh yes, the Alps would be truly wonderful, especially if they were medetized with the same care as the rest of the map. I could see myself taking some beautiful flights in the Alps. I would even say that I would be willing to spend an extra ticket for that.

Hello, I've noticed a loss of FPS for some time now and I can't tell you exactly how many days, but it's recent. When the German map was released, I was flying with 100 FPS in 2D and between 40 and 50 FPS in VR? Now I'm flying with 75 FPS in 2D and 20/35 FPS in VR. What's incomprehensible is that I get 35 FPS while taxiing in the bases and on the tarmac, and as soon as I take off, I get between 20/25 FPS at 2500 feet (see above). Usually, it's quite the opposite. However, I've lost about fifteen FPS on all the other maps without having changed or added anything. Does anyone else have the same or similar experience?

Great map, but definitely resource hungry
PLUTON replied to SandMan23's topic in DCS: Cold War Germany
YOYO said Outside of Berlin, I have a constant 72 frames per second, so that's fine for me (maximum for my refresh rate). Above Berlin, at 100 meters above the ground, I get 62-70 fps (RTX4090). I immediately remembered the time when the Syrians were out and people were flying over Aleppo with slides. Generally, outside of the capital, it's fine, and here it looks and works well, but in Berlin, I don't understand why it's so sharp at the cost of lower fps. Unless there's some optimization. It would be nice if Berlin were optimized, because, at least for VR users, flying here isn't enjoyable. Personally, I say the entire map should be optimized because it feels like I'm back at the beginning of the SYRIA map, where I had to sacrifice quality to be able to fly without a slideshow. I hope they optimize it quickly because it's a magnificent map. -
Thanks for your reply occidental_JPN Have a good flight

I just noticed that during solo missions, the AIs landing on Spangalem runway 23 crash into the trees on the hill just before the runway. I don't know if this only happens to me, but that's what I've noticed. Have a good flight, everyone.

I might surprise you, but personally, I have a 2080 8GB and it's smooth in VR (35 fps in large cities and 45/50 fps in the countryside) without stuttering, thinking that it will improve with updates. So, nothing to say from my side.

Hello, This map is truly exceptional, both for its beauty and its detail. However, I flew over Berlin and didn't find the (famous) wall, which, of course, no longer exists today, and that's just as well. Is it there and I just didn't see it, or was it deliberately left there? Have a good flight, everyone.

Wow, it works, the update to 2.9.15 was successful. Now I'm downloading Cold War, which will take 1 hour 20 minutes because it says 109,464.7 MB.
-
My problem is the same, with a major error! After the (successful) update, I'm still on 2.9.14.
-
No problem, we take off first thing tomorrow
-
1 hour 2 hours 3 hours the main thing is to have it and I also stay out of respect for those who work like crazy to give us this patch
-
It's only 8:33 p.m. at my place.

Thank you for your intervention BIGNEWY
-
Exactly, you say Maps, they said to us maps because map is French, hihihihi but the main thing is that we understood each other
-
Okay, okay guys, don't make fun of me even if it seems laughable, hahahahaha, but I practically always bought my cards before they came out, so I don't remember what it was like when you could buy them at the same time as they came out, but thanks anyway for the information and especially the humor displayed. See you later, gentlemen.
-
So if the Cold War map is part of the April 17th patch (if everything goes well of course) where can we buy it?
-
Thank you
-
Hello gentlemen, could you please tell me the price of the German card? Thank you in advance and happy updating to all.

Same for me with the 572.70 driver, the setting in NVPI displayed an error and I had to redo it each time I started the program. With the 572.60 driver, the setting in NVPI no longer displays an error and remains memorized. So for me, 572.60 is the best for now.

Update the DLSS preset used by DCS to remove ghosting
PLUTON replied to sleighzy's topic in General Bugs
Here I did some tests in VR with the preset set to J and K and I did not notice anything that could make the difference between the two except maybe the preset K a little sharper and I am not entirely sure. But whether it is one or the other I noticed a clear improvement compared to before (DLSS 3.8.) . With the (DLSS 3.10.2.1) and the J or K setting in Nvidia Inspector I have Just lost a few FPS but DCS remains fluid and the sharpness has been greatly improved. -
Hello. I don't know if this is where I should put my problem but here it is when I turn on my headset (HP Reverb G2) more than 50% of my icons on the desktop disappear and come back when I turn off my headset! does anyone know why this phenomenon is created? Thanks for the help

Update the DLSS preset used by DCS to remove ghosting
PLUTON replied to sleighzy's topic in General Bugs
Since my last message I also switched to the latest nvidia driver and the loss of fps is much reduced now the difference is 5fps but dcs remains fluid despite that. But I will do other tests to know if I keep the K setting or if I switch to G as some have said that their config ran better with G or F rather than with K. -
Update the DLSS preset used by DCS to remove ghosting
PLUTON replied to sleighzy's topic in General Bugs
Here I installed DLSS 3.10.2.1 and set the preset to K in Nvidia inspector I did a flight test on several cards and the result is a minimum loss between 10 and 15 FPS in VR (that's a lot I think) Am I the only one with this loss of FPS? Tank you for help
