UPDATE: I think it is finished only thing - i would like it to be in higher resolution ....any tip for DDS convertor that does not downscale ? ... been using DXT bmp and it does do downscale. anyway here is a little tease. Made it a small logo at the front..... it felt empty and i kinda like it. But i can upload without it. Tried to slap it on nosecone but it didnt look good there.

wow:surprise: that was unexpected.:blush: thank you for all the praises ...but i dont think it is deserved. The real artist is the nature and the folks that photographed the lightnings. I just found some pictures, done some cutting, splitting, bending, overlaying, twisting, turning and that was it, there was very little painting involved. But thank you anyway :smilewink:

Howdy I sort of forgot about it last time i have been home. Something else cought my attention and didnt let go. Tell you what. Next time am at home ill look into finishing it....would love to make a video to acompany it, but it depends on how much time will i have.... we will see. so i guess soonish as always with my projects :smilewink:

same here since 1.5.6 sometimes i get timeout sometimes it does connect but kicks me few seconds after loading is finished.... It seems like kick for slow loading.... No matter what kind of ping you have (usually under 50) when its loading its loading and i guess not communicating at all. Which happens either during server connection or respawns.

Oh you are so right. It seemed almost black in gimp but now in engine it is still too light.

So i was not imagining it. :lol: I Noticed that pixel in recent days and i love it.

Howdy folks. I would like to ask experienced textures / modelers I have tried the search, but to no avail. Do you know of some trick to texture rounded objects ? Cones to be precise. Our planes noses are the tricky bit. When i want to overlay texture over it in GIMP it wont be seamless in the end. Since it is unwrapped cone. Do you know of any trick to cut and stretch the texture so it fits perfectly on round object after it is placed on the model without seams? Something similar to Water transfer painting but in electronic form :-) example there has to be something...

download firmek's server.lua file which ever you fancy, but BEWARE you need to edit them too! Some of them have just base values :-)) You dont need his snapview file....since it would just mess up your own snap views.

Oh just you wait for that mind-bender when you realize the keys are upside-down on keyboard and on the INS ;) Its not problem while writing numbers, but wait for the moment with +- North South button presses. :lol: Times like this really makes you thing about those fancy OLED keyboards

Still it is interesting that editing server.lua values works for some planes. But not the M2000. (whether in game install folder or as a copy in user save games folder. Tested with SU27 and free Su25) :huh: But with your server.lua from topic you posted link for. It does. :thumbup:

EDIT - never mind my bad Mission 05 Traitor During s530 training i missed one F4 drone. Therefore mayor Pacotte instructed me to anchor at next waypoint, that he will finish it. I set said waypoint to INS and went that way. I noticed major's m2000 on the my 3o clock while on route towards said point. Pretty much at that moment i received warning from RWR about buddy spike from major's M2000. I was calm thinking dude would not shoot me right ....:smilewink: ....right :( Wrong. few second later RWR started screaming about a missile launch :huh: I dived :joystick: and evaded :smilewink: and in few moment major said the drone is down and we can continue :D. At first i actually thought he is the traitor but it was most likely bug or did i missed something ? Perhaps i was too close to drones that he targeted me instead :lol: Rest of the mission went as planed (runaway albatros etc)

So can we get back on topic.... So Rogonaut did you asked ED about that upgrade ? I have it too back from old D2D when it was a thing... then it wasnt.... now it is again :-))

Well yes i know i am biased, but i would recommend Inovae engine. Its wondrous what it can do on planetary/interplanetary level absolutelly seamlessly. Got access to it...and phew its something really.
