  1. Yay i am no longer being overtaken anymore by frogfoots :-B The POWER of engine with a seat and small wings is back ! Not only it feels better.... that feeling like you were playing a game (that computer handling) its gone. Also i love the shaking in high speed :-) I like it...to a point i have a sneaking feeling mirages will be bit OP in multi-player now. I agree the airbrakes are not as effective as they used to ....but it could be that i was just used to fly to base at mach 1 and slam the brakes just before the landing.
  2. thank you
  3. ED and partners - You guys are awesome !
  4. Great Job Razbam. It is really nice bird.
  5. Same here with low fps ... You know this does make sense. .... i usually get dip in fps when i turn mirrors or TV in Frogfoot on. But there is no dip in fps in harrier... Like if it is rendering that flir all the time even when not turned on.
  6. agree with dropbox / googledrive idea if it is ok with Razbam
  7. oohhhh:clap: hmmm now what would be fitting for this baby
  8. I didn't know that thank you  ...must have forgotten it. I plan on rereading the manual once the final version is out. I just switched the INS into a Sec on the PSM panel and expected working compass. I was not aware that backup horizon uncage is a tree way switch and that it does that :-)
  9. But the HSI does. It could have been showing good data, but on wrongly pointing HSI. I was tempted to work with it by subtracting degrees and comparing positions with working compass but ATC communication worked + i have been in enemy territory. I went for the most simple working solution. And it worked. :smilewink:
  10. I must have set to on some map difficulty option, since i dont see myself on map as of late. This recently created fun adventure. My INS must have been wrongly aligned or had some kind of malfunction. Mission was simple ground strike in enemy territory. In the middle i figured the navigation must be off somehow.... and indeed it was. I found myself somewhere in enemy territory with no idea where i was. Tempted to just restart i turned it into a journey home. Tacan was useless since it too relied on wrong info from INS emergency mode. First time i used that popup auxiliary compass. Coupled with working radio i found my way home eventually :pilotfly: Enjoyed myself greatly.
  11. make mission only with your aircraft and try that one. If you get big improvement it is not graphics related but CPU -AI related
  12. Oh will there be a mission like this one in the module ? http://www.avgeekery.com/navy-growler-crew-just-drew-giant-penis-sky-washington-navy-wasnt-amused/ :megalol::thumbup:
  13. what the h..... that looks like different game.
  14. wow pretty map. Have not expected info about that one so soon. Makes you wonder we have Mig 29 - check F 5 - chcek F14 in the works F18 soon hmmm if only ;-) Mirage F1, Su 24, Phantom
  15. Voted both Caucasus. But if it would be Sci-fi themed you bet i would change my vote to nevada and buy the map.

    refueling

Interesting i was under the impression that this black with orange guard is FBW OFF
  17. It is fun little bird. It has some issues lately with flight model being bit unfinished. But don't wait there isn't many of these sales in the year. You going to have fun learning all the systems anyway for some time. :joystick: After that it could be finished.... what i would wait though (get it now anyway) Is for the manual rework by baltic_dragon over here. Lot of necessary info is inside. So i would wait with playing for the new one...just to not get confused.
  18. Some fast test. I bought cheap used Intel CPU before : AMD Athlon2 x4 860K with R9 390 now : i5 3570 with same R9 390 I can report massive boost in performance (almost double the FPS) across the board in DCS. Where it was unplayable bellow 20fps in generated missions on AMD it is now smooth 60 or more. DCS is special beast other benchmarks aren't showing such a massive improvement. So if you are on some old system and have a tight budget i would recommend grab a used i5 2500 or similar. People are dumping them all over the place now. Would love to see DCS in benchmark on R3 1200.
  19. I believe FlightControl (Moose) nailed it with his post in other topic. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3251046&postcount=23
  20. did some testing I recently tested DCS 1.5 with new GPU. Only to be somewhat disappointed in performance improvement. Only time i had high FPS was when game was paused or map was almost empty of ground units. Baffled by this i did some testing. Edited Terrain setting files so that GPU is pretty much bored. BTW the menu item "visibility range" would benefit from whole advanced menu for itself since it does encompasses such massive amounts of tweaks related to GPU performance that anyone can make game pretty and smooth GPUwise....but i digress. Our problem is CPU bound. Although in windows task manager it might seem like it is utilized only half the time. (that is why folks are reporting low fps with low cpu and gpu usage) The indicators are most likely showing average usage. I used AMD overdrive for measurement, mostly watching heat and CPU is very much in use and heating up. Mostly single core usage. And i think the cause might be related to one/all/or combination of these : AI calculations Collision detection. Pathfinding I tried few scenarios (said units don't have to be visible therefore rendered): 1) Airplanes only fighting each other - dcs runs fine 2) Only 1 airplane (player) and more or less static ground units - shown impact on performance 3) Only 1 airplane (player) and ground units moving and fighting each other - boy oh boy. 4) All types of units fighting each other = slideshow. This correlates with reported performance boost when you create you own server on other PC and play the game as a connected client.
  21. I will add that not all hints you find online might be applicable in all cases. For instance i found hint that i should avoid rolling the plane and use only yaw.... Silly me i didn't even tried to make my own opinion at first and accepted it as fact. After so many unsuccessful attempts i just gave up. Then few weeks later just for laugh fired that scenario up again and completely forgot the "no aileron" advice. Guess what? First try. If you like me don't have too precise rudder control don't follow that advice. Do what is comfortable for you. It is good advice and i understand why it was given. But without precise rudder i cannot recommend it. also found refuelling from il78 to be lot easier then that small plane ...Intruder or what is it. Small one seems to dance all over the sky. IL78 seems more stable one. Possibly due to its size.
  22. You know some funny campaign like that would really drive me to buy the map. :-)
  23. 38 or 39 ...any tricycle for that matter. Only thing keeping me out of the WW2 fighters.
  24. I also think there is room for improvements in AI or whole sequence. Like refueling plane not "slamming on the brakes" as soon as it decides you missed. Nobody sane would do such a thing in such dangerous situation. Would be great if plane flown straight and level and perhaps warn when its about to start turning or changing altitude. Right now the refuel Ai pilot is jerk :-)
  25. Fixed and added installer it should work now Well not that anyone would download it if he does not own the module. But if by some chance(mission creator) one would try that. There would not be any mirage folder in "mods" folder of that person. So i think it might not work. But by placing it where the installer is placing it now. It should work either way.... path of least resistance ;-)
