No, you need to stop thinking that everything is directed at you. I see no mention of you name. I thought we were allowed open discussion on a forum but obviously not.

OMG, brillant find. I quite agree that this adds to the atmosphere of Lockon. Now we just have to tweak the values to make it "more realistic" rather than writing it off like others have.

I always lol when people use the terms "honour and chivalry" when describing pilots, in particular fighter pilots. War is war, it's either kill or be killed. "honour and chivalry" amongst pilots died during the first half of WW1. In regards to Lock-On. "Strafing" or Airbase attack missions in a mud mover such as A-10/Su-25 I see as ok. Popping off a R-73 or ET at grounded aircraft I frown upon. But hey, since I don't own a server I have no say in it. If I get strafed in a server which allows it all well and good but if I get popped on the ground by a AAM I can either change base or if this option is unavailable to me, I leave. simple as that. Also, IMHO this term "vulching" is like the 16 year olds screaming out "Camper" in COD4 because you use tactics instead of running into their line of fire like a madman.

There are some codecs that LockOn doesn't like e.g. Huffy etc. If you have any installed, remove them and try again. You might be able to find out which are causing the problem.

Lock-On's Current Multiplayer State

The S77th brought us the LL (Lomac league) The 504th, 355th and 44th brought us CAW (Crimean Air Wars) The 169th has ran not one but two ladders and Black Sea showdown. The 159th, 44th, 504th etc brought us LOCERF The TUAF, RAF etc brought us Cooperative Archer Probably some more that have slipped my memory. All fine DEDICATED squadrons that brought a lot to the lock-on community, and not one had the audacity or gall to call themselves the "Official" ladder or campaign. But in comes a L33t FPS'er with a ladder site who only just started probably didn't even know that half of these existed, never mind the fact they insult these achievements with this "Official" business. My 2c worth. BTW IIRC a FPS ladder site also tried to sink its fangs into Lockon about a year or two ago, spammed the forums for a while but were shunned. Related by chance. lol -
Neverending contest (military aviation knowledge)

This aircraft comes from a good pedigree stable ;) Great sailor ;) -
My thoughts. Rotation as seen in the second vid would be needed if you roll your craft while tracking anything off angle. Rotation like in the first vid (rotation in straight, centered position), is this used while in flight? Could be used as a visual thing just to wow the crowds and for demo purposes.

Fully agree.

Yep, well aware of the blind spots created by wings etc blocking sensors. It was, as you said the fact that the missile was fired at 09:22:04 and splashed me at 09:22:56 which was the strange thing. Ahh well, can't really look into it more without track.

Online cheating is one of the reasons why I limit my online flight and when online stick to the 104th and 169th servers. I was on a well known (air quake ;)) server, flying along minding my own business, nearest enemy was 60km away but engaging a closer friend when my RWR started screaming that I was fired upon from dead ahead.... what!!..... No lock warning .....Ok.... start a defensive manoeuvre when boom...dead. between RWR fire warning and death was about 1.5 - 2 seconds. After looking at the debrief I seen that not only was it an EM that killed me but it was fired a full 50 seconds before any warning was received. Kicked myself for not recording track. Of course the guy went from being chatty before incident to very quiet when challenged on how this took place. Something strange is afoot in Lock-On land.

He did. Look at where the cows legs are after they open the bomb bay doors on the ground.

OMG!!! :shocking:

Due to the fact that march 24th was the 9th anniversary of the NATO bombing of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia perhaps?

Never has been in the game, never will. These screens as of a model made by a 3rd party for LO-BS. It should be in DCS-BS.

They are still there.

Results of tests on my machine; Driver - 169.25 = 11,396 3DMark 06 points Driver - 169.44 = 11,356 3DMark 06 points Driver - 171.20 = 11,434 3DMark 06 points Not much of a change to write home about, just depends upon behaviour in game. Artifacts etc.

Sweet, thanks for reminder.

rig in sig. Only change to this will be if the 9800GX2 comes out before may (EVGA 90 day step up)

:megalol: Never actually thought of that. Though probably best to place it on a G key well away from any other commands or instead of my chaff/flare x2 macro (Flare - Chaff - Flare - chaff) it will be the silk elevator. :pilotfly::lol:

NON-COMPLIANCE TO ECM IFF "Check"
Excelsior replied to cool_t's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I am in complete agreement with Frost1e here. If you are in doubt of a contact then you don't fire upon it, it's that simple.
