  1. Is the NTTR water texture any more visible in 2.1? As it is, I can't judge the water surface distance till I'm in the drink. It's completely flat. Hoping this was related to the low-res texture issue that is going to be fixed.

  5. Hi Smil... I'm pretty sure those f10 options are only available to the mission creator. Could be wrong though. By the way, I would most like to see the Bell47 in NTTR (then Normandy, hopefully).   6. That sounds good...I'm on Mountain time in the US. Maybe we can get a group together sometime. I posted a request for the Aerobatics Online server to add the mod, but no one answered yet.
  7. Anyone else itching to do some formation flying in this thing? It would be a great way to explore Normandy. BTW, no big deal, but my trimmer button doesn't seem to work.
  8. Thanks for putting your site and these interviews out there, Sergio. Very interesting, and you ask all the right questions. I also thought it was interesting the Xplane guy has plans for making that into a multiplayer environment. If there's one thing DCS needs, it's competition :thumbup:
  9. Simulation of engine overheating is as important as the flight model? It's a flight simulator, not an engine simulator... I don't see it, but to each his own, my friend.

  12. Would anyone direct me to up to date information regarding how to set up a server for 2.0? I know very little about networking, opening ports, etc. I used to be able to host servers on an old DCS build (pre1.5), but now my servers seem to not show up. Thanks Edit: nevermind, I am renting a router and that appears to be a problem.
  13. Hawkeye had a good idea with that FM poll...too bad it devolved into another dead end "discussion". I would like to be able to revert to the original one too. The Polychop guy stated recently that the FM is realistic. There you have it. It isn't going to be improved. We need to move on and look forward to the Bo105 from Oliver's new company. Who knows how long that will take, so why not enjoy the Bell47 that was just released? It would be awesome to get some multiplayer servers up with it included.
  14. This strikes me as the best possible news... Oliver had dropped hints about things not working out. The 3d work on the Gaz is amazing, after all... BO 105 is back on my radar...hope it comes soon.

  18. Thanks...is the Doc folder supposed to be empty? I don't have any instructions in there. Does this whole folder just get put in Aircraft? Thanks edit: I installed the folder under mods/aircraft/. I can only get it to work as an AI aircraft - even when it is set as "client". It loads as AI in "fast mission" as well. I have the Huey installed. I don't know if I missed something, looks like it...

  22. I could be wrong, but I was under the impression turning off AP does not affect the flight model. I spelled out my biggest issue with the FM on a thread called "An answer to my flight model question". The thing can fly at full speed in level flight with the cyclic centered.
  23. Yeah, there are 5100+ views on that statement by Polychop thread. I doubt many people are clicking on a thread with 0 replies more than once. That's a way bigger "niche market" than I had assumed in the past. So there goes that excuse.
  24. Bearfoot: Yeah, I'm not sure I understood what he was saying the about arcade FMs... ESAc_matador: Yes, I know he is comparing without SAS. I am saying that I find it hard to believe the SAS makes such a big difference regarding the stick centering during high speed flight, turns etc.
