  1. And please also note the lovely screeching sounds. That rubber really rubs inside that small compartment ;-)
  2. I did not think that I would write this, but it seems ED has a lot on their hands at the moment and the KA-50 bugfixing activity has been dormant for some time. I still have patience and trust that they will work on fixing the remaining bugs at some later time. The most frustrating aspect about this is that there is no communication about it - it could just be some vague assurance that it will be fixed at some later point.
  3. Did you also try enable/disable HPET in windows? Enable HPET: bcdedit /set useplatformclock true Disable HPET bcdedit /deletevalue useplatformclock Nb. reboot needed afterwards!
  4. Have anyone noticed that the load out on the shark is not reflected by the shadow when looking from inside the cockpit: In external view the load out is reflected in the shadow, strange...
  5. Now I've been noticing a special version of the crazy Shkval problem. Usually I've had luck with curing the crazy shkval problem by resetting the weapons system and/or by using the laser range finder when locking a target or ground. Now none of these methods work. When designating target using HMS sometimes the Shkval designator moves down, you can counter it, but it keeps moving down. The following does not stop the behaviour: Locking target again Uncaging shkval Locking a target without laser Using laser range finder when locking a target Resetting the weapons system Turning the K-041 on and off Turning the weapon system power on and off Repair Only going back to spectators and selecting aircraft again cures this problem :-/
  6. Change in the latest version of DCS 1.2.6.18933 (don't know if it was also present in 1.2.6 update 1): Scripts\Aircrafts\_Common\Cockpit\Macro_handler.lua Line 148: function release() Changed to: function on_state_close()
  7. Hmmm... I'm really wondering if the comment when 1.2.6 was released meant that it had not yet reached beta stability and was still alpha? Coming from 1.2.4 it seems that not many improvements have surfaced yet.
  8. No no - not just a gull - but a black-headed gull, just like this one: ... a creature so foul, so cruel, that no man yet has fought with it... and lived! - Tim
  9. Maybe wind could be an issue in that mission?
  10. Great - looking forward to it :-)
  11. It works nicely without problems!
  12. Pin-out of the handle Hi, just saw this pin-out linked in another thread here on EDF: Link: Thread on simHQ "Warthog/Cougar Pin out information".
  13. Great - thanks for the link to the pin-out!
  14. This is the type of invisible vehicle experienced in the current version of DCS:
  15. Lovely photos, I'm a big fan of this thread ;-)
  16. Never seen this mod before - looking forward to testing it tonight! :-)
  17. Thanks for posting link to Devrims mod - was unaware of it!
  18. Anyone else experienced that the A/A mode turns on by itself? (I've never experienced it)
  19. In the SU-25 it should be easier to cool down the laser as well, you've got higher speed at higher altitudes (higher airflow and lower temperatures).
  20. Great mission - had a go with it (rev2) tonight and it was a blast. Apart from a few misunderstandings in "story" of the mission (most likely on our part) it was really fun! We had a problem with a ship disappearing for a client (but only in 1st person view) in the concluding part of the mission. But that is probably a problem within DCS World.
  21. We had a problem with a ship that was invisible from a clients first person view tonight, but not invisible from third person/ external view. Also visible in first and third person view for the host of the game. It did fire an awful lot of bullets though:
  22. Sorry that is my favorite activity ;)
  23. Ok, I've been discussing this with another KA-50 pilot that the fuel consumption is higher with the latest patch. Anyone else confirm this?
  24. That is how it is IRL, is it not?? Would you please point out what "real life" are you referring to? I'm flying this sim in real life. Pilots in KA-50's is AFAIK not something going on much in real life anymore. I guess that most real life helicopter pilots does not zoom much when flying... In other words it is a question of usage. I use the HMS for approximately placing the shkval in the right place and then move it into the right place. When I zoom it is mostly for looking - not for aiming the HMS at some precise mark. So I see it as a nice touch that the HMS crosshair is not magnified all over the screen when zooming :-)
