  1. The click is from the Center Stop Device, it is a metal pin behind the spring that hits the block to stop the cam from moving when the bearing transitions from one cam to another. This is the adjustment that takes a lot of fine tuning. To much "stop" and the bearing doesnt contact the cam at all leaving a slack center detent. To little and the bearing strikes the corner of the cam on its return to center.
  2. We were told after the Chinese streamer does his review/first look... but not sure when exactly.
  3. Its complicated, and I want to make sure I understand that my setup is correct before I get into that. I am not a WH user, just the grip. I use primarily a Virpil WarBRD base, and lately the VKB gunfighter base. The Virpil WarBRD base is a similar 2 cam setup, but different in that the cams dont split the load from the bearing but share it. Give me some time to make sure my thoughts on the matter are correct and I will produce a video explaining my thoughts, hopefully in the next day or two
  4. Here's a video of the soft cam in place with 2x heavy springs. kd4VcIeRLds
  5. Soft but I think even the soft cam needs some work atm, talked to winwing about it last night and explained what I think the issue is. Will have to wait and see what they can do, they have been amazing to work with so far, no hurt feelings very open and receptive to feedback a true pleasure.
  6. Hah, i have some, but wanted to use the tools they provided to ensure it was all there and feasible for assembly.
  7. Its currently only on twitch and parts of it got muted. Ill likely throw together a video tonight summing things up if I have time for youtube... Twitch
  8. The stick seems to need a lot of fine adjustment between the spring combinations, the different cams, the offset adjustment (my term...), and the clutch. So i didnt wanna conclude anything last night on that aspect. Need more time to understand and get things sorted here. No the Soft center has less resistance to get out of center. The Hard one was noticeably (by a lot) different. Agreed, this was 100% not a review, just an unveiling. The throttle bumping is something I overlooked in the manual, being that it was given to me 1/2 way through the stream I didn't refer to it as much as I should have. Not having a slider for the zooming might be solvable, just need more time to figure it out. Yes, probably should have prepared more, but at the same time I think its a good thing to do it this way to, see what steps along the way may be to complicated. You guys are engineers, most of us aren't so given these kinds of experiments we both learn what may need to be addressed (if anything) in future revisions. I understand your probably teeth grinding about my approach. I get it. But I stated multiple times that I needed more time to understand it. I have 2 other gimbal bases that have similar cam setups and I understand the mechanics within them a bit so it wasnt overly complicated. The only that was new to me was adjusting the cam position after the spring was loaded in, not something needed to be done in the 2 other sticks I have. I will spend more time figuring this out though, I'm sure we can solve the issues I was encountering (which are likely all on my side) To eager maybe, but only because so many people asked for the stream and only because the pre-sale is going to end pretty soon here and those people wanted to try and save some $$, and I cant blame them this is a pricey product. I dont mind making mistakes, I also don't mind making a fool of myself. I rarely read directions on most things (I learn better this way... call me weird for it). Typically I break out the instructions when I get stuck ... as seen in this stream ;) This was not WINWINGS request. Thanks and also hats of to WINWING for jumping in the stream and giving me guidance when I got off track, it was appreciated. Yup, totally unplanned though so that would have been tough to do. I am going to try and put together a Skype call with ALEX at some point to clear things up with the cams and springs ;)
  9. I don't typically do unboxings, but considering pre-orders end soon and it was requested I will be doing a live unboxing on twitch tonight around 9PM PST (0400 ZULU) http://www.twitch.tv/jabbers_
  10. All of the riddles and hints thus far (5 is a correction to 3) It's easy as pi, if nothing else, give dropping a bomb at all numbers 14 a try. ‪If you get the nod, take a bomb and a pod, be steady and swift, at 1414 Jester will give you a gift‬ when you have a pod at 2, and the sparkle shows the same type twice like you, and it is fourteen past and there is a blast, trust us the impression will last Can only be done with a human Rio or the lantirn mod Forgive the wrong hype, when setting the sparkle, only use one type.

  12. Your next F-14 Easteregg riddle! If you get the nod, take a bomb and a pod, be steady and swift, at 1414 Jester will give you a gift Good luck! Not my intention to self promote, but lots of discussion is going on in my discord in the #dcs-discussion channel (feel completely free to leave after the easter egg is found, this was just a place where i've seen a discussion started) https://discord.gg/ZnkvumS

  14. I heard from a birdy review units go out soon
  15. Agree to disagree on the voice thing
  16. CLUE #1 I’m surprised no one has got a round to figure this out, I guess we can circle back on how in another video. Thank you all for the constant support. CLUE #2 I FEEL THE NEED.... THE NEED FOR SPEEB.......R
  17. It just really speeds up what should be a 2 man operation, but probably not much more or the same as a really good Pilot/RIO combo so not a big deal really, but def not how the module was intended to be played.
  18. Well ya, airspeed is something you reference under 10k and mach over 10k or something like that, but ya typically just reference mach number anyway, its easier to do calculations with if need be, but in formation, airspeed is irrelevant
  19. Ya when flying formation I never give speed callouts as lead. Typically if I need to press something I'll tell them im brining in the power, or out, but typically I assume wing is watching and keeping pace. Ideally I dont call anything, not even turns, and I don't expect those call outs when im flying wing.
  20. The clues are in the video
