F18 HOTAS (continue update)
horus-DCS replied to WINWING's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Nice. Keep up the good work. I hope we can see the comsumer version anytime soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Only if it has my favorite features - reliable and durable structures, adjustability, extra switches, easy to mount, modify, repair, and replace parts. And should be a good ergonomical form. F-35 throttle would be good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Autopilot paddle switch - To Be or Not To Be

Nothing wrong with its functionality. I just thought the CG looked like a thick candle on a skinny candlestick. -
Autopilot paddle switch - To Be or Not To Be
horus-DCS replied to UIV's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
Of course it’s good to have it. But I want a new, realistic, thicker and sturdier extension kit more than the paddle. Just saying. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
That was the conclusion after trying those solutions. Just not for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Same here. I’m still using VR for DCS, but it’s only for relatively simple flights which don’t require heavy button control and data reading. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can we have zero center detent cam? Thanks for your reply. Mine is GF mk2. So the cams are probably same with yours. Actually it’s not a product fault, my cams are normal and doing their job. That annoying feeling is just a matter of my personal preference. The #10 cam is definitely soft but I still can feel ‘something’ in the middle of axis range. I’m just lioking for the way to remove it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have gunfight base with MCG pro. There are 2 types of cam, #10(soft center, originally installed) and #30(hard center) in the package. I have small but anoying ‘clunk’ feeling when the axis come back to center even with #10 cams. Is there any softer(zero would be the best) center cams out there? If it’s negative, will there be any chance for us to have them? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have almost same experiences, so understand well how you feel. At first to say, I've been using VR sets even since Oculus DK1, now CV1 for over 2 years. 1 and 3. Actually I don't get motion sickness that much in DCS, but just feel uncomfortable with that tight, hot, heavy and eye blocking headset on my face. 2. I also prefer to control cockpit functions with external button boxes. Some well-configured external devices can provide much more effective controls than virtual things can. 4. I use a notebook to write coordinates and valuable mission data on and a tablet to search references and manuals for some serious missions. No way to use them smoothly in VR at this moment. 5. Though 1st gen VR's poor performance is a weak point, it doesn't really matter to me, because 1, 2, 3, 4 were bigger problems anyway. 6. Totally agree. VR enthusiasts, don't get me wrong, I'm happy with the immersion factor of VR enough, but that's not all I(and someone like me) need. VR definitely limits some aspects of playing hardcore sims for now.

1. No 2. No Honestly I need twist rudder, but voted no. I just want you to release it as fast as you can by focusing on the simplest way. Of course it would be welcome to have them as extensions later, though.

VKB/Heatblur F-14 "Tomcat" grip - POLL Just some question before the vote. If you decide to remove the twist for 14 grip, will it be impossible to have the function at all? Do you have a plan to release ‘atachable’ part later? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I can't see anything to be connected to that 6 pin round port for now. Can we use it for some DIY peripherals? (adding custom axis and buttons) Sent from my KFSUWI using Tapatalk

[REPORTED]NS430 won't be disabled for AV-8B
horus-DCS replied to Galwran's topic in Bugs and Problems
[REPORTED]NS430 won't be disabled for AV-8B Despite the checkbox in special menu has been unchecked, the window still appears. It can be fixed by editing only one word of harrier entry name in entry.lua but I don't want to edit the file, because it will not pass the integrity check. Please DEVs, fix this! -
UFC button functions assigned to joystick issue
horus-DCS replied to horus-DCS's topic in Resolved Bugs
I've found that those functions worked correctly in stable version(2.5.2.18736). But no joy in Open Beta. Have you tested it in OB? -
Thanks. So, is it just a temperary issue? I believe the real harrier can handle decimal coordinates for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
Hi, I'm learning editing waypoints, but it is unable to input L/L decimal coordinates. I've read '.' (dot) button is for decimal data in the pocket manual, but it doesn't work as I imagine. Could someone tell me the proper way to do it?
-
It is possible to assign UFC button functions to joystick in control option menu, but some of them are not working in actual game, for example TCN, ODU1~5, UFC On/Off. I can control the functions with a mouse only for now. Is it normal or just me?

Warthog toggle switch replacement?
horus-DCS replied to horus-DCS's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks for the info but there are only standard types of switches even in the manufacturer's official site. My point is the lever/knob. Sent from my KFSUWI using Tapatalk -
Please check the attached photo, those are the boat and the china hat switches. 'MHao MS-103' is written on the label, so I've googled it, but couldn't find anything with that special lever(cylindrical, with a pin hole). Does anybody have an idea where to get this type of switches? Or are they some kind of 'customized by Thrustmaster'? Sent from my KFSUWI using Tapatalk

Capt Zeen F/A-18C Beta Helios Profile ! ! !
horus-DCS replied to Capt Zeen's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Nice work! By the way MPCD font resolution is too low. Shader line draw as wire code makes the line clearer but it still look ugly. Especially the texts and symbols over color map are almost unreadable. I hope ED fix MPCD display rendering like A10C style.
