BNZ? I Have heard the term a few times, I am guessing it's the divebombing type technique with German planes ?
-
He guys... I don't have skin in this game, but would like to. No backer page anymore exist.... or what I have seen... I have all the wwII mods... will the JUG come out with the MAP? Will the JUG be a REAL plane or like the p-51 freebee? I would rather purchase it and have something that could lay down the lead... Thanks guys for all the hard work.

I don't own a real wwII bird either. I do however own a couple of 50 cc model aircraft that resemble World War II birds that are a blast to fly RC They have air retracts and everything. i've only recently started flying DCS enjoyed it very much I want to try and get my father to try it. He's almost 80 years old he told me "no friggen way, there's no way." Trying to expand the DCS community and it's flyers is a good thing .

I just purchase all 4 modules. I am English so for the simple fact that I can read what is said next to the levers I am going to say the p51 and spitfire. But one can hold the mouse over the buttons and it will say in English writing what it is. So it doesn't make whole difference. Fw190 most difficult to fly. It seems to snap at all speeds! Get the plane you want you will not be disappointed.

Guess what I'm trying to say why waste time trying to drop a big heavy bomb that doesn't really do much of anything, when you have dispensers that can cover 10 tanks with one drop! I don't know real world applications but the biggest bomb that The a10 can drop, I would think that it would level a good hundred yards? I will have to look it up on the general forums and see. Perhaps i am way off? Thank you for the input though, as I am new to this

I'll have to give it a try. If I have continual flatland I can drop the air 81 from 800ft off the deck with some degree of accuracy. But if I'm in mountainous train becomes very difficult to get a drop solution. I have to get about 10,000 feet or higher, and it still is not enough time and doesn't have enough explosive to to take out mobile artillery, ( even if landing danger close.) or so it seems

One thing I have found is that I don't even bother with the dumb bombs anymore specially when you have your munition dispensers like 87 for small targets and the 97 for tanks. I haven't even used the very accurate 105 and the 103 and they are supposed to be, more accurate versions of those previously mentioned. Perhaps DCS rewardsyou by using the correct tools for the mission in single player AI? Dumb bonds?, There just extra lead hanging on your bird waiting to get rid of so you can start flying decently. IMHO.

I don't know whole lot about it but I do know that Sam sites are incredibly sophisticated! much more so than that are modeled in DCS. in fact the A-10 would be a bad idea, against trying to do a SEAD mission! Part of it would be yes it's very slow. Sams have multiple sites that are integrated with sensors and it wouldn't stand a chance. And I'm just regurgitating what I've read about the A10 and SAM sites.

Yet seems like the bombs don't really do anything at all trucks can land right next to it! W/o being affected, same thing with infantrymen. I don't know about you but if I had a large bomb dropped within 200 yards, I would probably be done . Not so in DCS. Everything else I love about DCS but for some reason that's one thing, The damage model , in general, needs to be updated. Anything that has related to bombs and missiles been dropped and the big Gatlin gun on the A10, needs to be radically change my opinion . Or perhaps I don't realize that DCS is accurate and I should be updated!
-
You forgot the big hog gun can't even kill a few infantrymen when you light up the whole area With high explosive and incinerator (spelling sucks) rounds
-
One of the things I can't wrap my head around is that I line up my gun and lite up a whole area and you can't even hit one erected infantry man ??? Blows my mind! Especially when you know the guys are almost right on piper! I can't always fly down to see exactly where he's at... unless you want to do shift f10 and see where he's actually at and that takes the fun out of it , Not to mention the realism.

I had just done a quick read on this " Normandy-map" I would like to know only one thing. Will it be for sale to the public? I am not in the skill set to code or anything like that but would happily pay to help out ect. I realize that this sim is actually a " free" sim to a small regard. ( I purchased many modules over the last month). And very much enjoy them. Purchased all of the dlc content except for the "relic" do not own the mig and saber yet. My point is.. I do not have any issues purchasing someone's results of hard work. I want the DCS to continue and do not sweat the small stuff( 50-100$) here and there. ( as long as I have money coming in) I hope that something like the NORMANDY MAP doesn't get scraped only because people are too cheap to purchase something for a little extra.

Spitfire better than P-51D for online matches?
Hermit713 replied to TripRodriguez's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
The one topic most have not brought up is: Can I see him/her? I use the track IR. And have one heck of a time picking up visual of most planes in the air! Perhaps EVERYONE has a better monitor than me? A faster ms would most likely help me , but can it make me see ALL? Especially if you are up high 10,000 ft and higher , picking up visuals of fighters from up there is very difficult, at least for me anyway. AI see you no matter what, So it is all in the machine at that Point. And they fly those mustangs perfectly. In fact they can shoot down me down when I am in a F5-E tigerII. So I'm not sure how the mustang in its current form is not a very good fighter online. It seems pretty much unbeatable When flown by AI at almost any altitude it will win. Do the AI not have to follow the same physics and such, that I have to when it's flown in DCS? -
Spitfire better than P-51D for online matches?
Hermit713 replied to TripRodriguez's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
In my experience ( and it is only 1 -2 months total) with WWII PLANES ON DCS. The spitfire is very slow but can out turn any fighter in D.C.'s as of now. I have not done any online WWII fights yet, but against AI the p51 rules at high altitude to mid, and doesn't suffer any of the reliability issues the spitfire and especially the 109. It seems I have to constantly worry about the engine seizing at any time ( and other times it runs flawlessly) Depends on the single mission I choose? -
Over the holidays I picked up the 109 190,p51, and the Spitfire ( and many others) I don't have any issues with trim except at take off. ( The plane is flown like a drunken sailor) Until I get the speed up. I the trim like all the other WWII prop planes and jets. It takes me about 30 secs and it is set. Am I missing something? Why all of the dig numbers/ curves? Are they prop pitch and throttle settings as well? My biggest issue is on the airfield mission, my engine seizes all the time w/o much stress to it.

Yes... Good force feedback would be really great, if added to the current crop of VKB's.

Pilot avatar in cockpit- Virtual Reality in the A-10C
Hermit713 replied to TripRodriguez's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Having a moving pilot could cause CPU/graphics card overload? -
I purchased all of but the gazelle and don't regret it for a moment.

I picked up the mig21. Happy I did. It makes some awesome sounds. The part has worried about , wasn't an issue. Most of the common switches have English written above/below them. Having it shortens the learning curve by a large margin. I must say though, the flame outs at high altitude was a surprise and can get you killed quickly if you are not aware.
-
I have the f5 and thought about the mig21. I have picked up over 10 modules (Christmas sale) And I have had a heck of a time figuring out the black shark2 I don't think the mig21 would be any different. I vote for having both. And I don't speak Russian, so it will take long time to understand it all. The f5 is nice if you are English, as you don't need a translation to pick up the stick.

Spitfire rudder sensitive with twist stick
Hermit713 replied to Hermit713's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
Ahhhhhh Thank you so much. I am absolutely delighted. Thank you for the quick reply just makes my day. -
I had this issue with the Saitek AV8TR and now with the VKB Gladiator. I hardly move the rudder (twist I have no pedals) and the front end fish tails all over.... Trying to actually hit something and it is all but worthless.... My controller doesn't have the ability to do a Curve. Deadzones are useless, if no matter where the sensor starts it takes MICRO...yes MICRO movements to get anything but a 99% probability that the spitfire will yank all over and not hit it's mark... Is this the "WAY IT IS" in a spitfire?? I tried using the wizzo software and calibrated in both windows 10 and Wizzo software.. ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated... NOTE: I am purchasing the me109 and Fw190 and mustang today... so I will see if they are also so sensitive. I don't think so though.

Looking forward to flying the F5E II with new Track IR, and Gladiator VKB.... Thought about waiting for the throttle base... but my AV8TR was on the lamb
