Is the ABRIS map supposed to update using INS if GNSS isn't available? Because right now it isn't. However, I always cheat and use No alignment or fix-taking needed...so maybe that's the issue? Or does it absolutely require a GPS signal to function?

Anyone else seeing this? I set up a two-flight, with me as lead. During the start up process, my wingman will start to taxi, and plows into buildings. I don't remember the exact airfields, but I remember I tried 2 or 3 with the same result. Do I just have idiots for wingmen?

Although...it WOULD be nice to have the option instead of having to adjust it after every script update. And I'm all for conf_mod options. I tend to modify all my campaigns to fit what I want...and the more options the better.

Is there a way to get the EWR text calls to be in Metric? I'm talking about Radio F10 option to turn on EWR, not the verbal AWACS calls. I've tried searching, but couldn't find anything.

Bumping this again since Germany is out. This map is probably the most needed now out of all. This was the MiG-21's playground in the Cold War.

There are some older mods that add RSBN beacons to the remaining airfields, but they don't seem to work anymore. Does anyone know of a mod out there that does?

Not a big deal, but still happens. I can load DCS, open a mission, and it will give me the crask report box after I try and fly it. This only happens if the NordVPN program is running. Even if the VPN is paused, and even after I added DCS to the "safe" list. I think this is the right log file for when it happened. I was doing a lot of testing. Anyway, when I shut down Nord completely, DCS runs as usual. Not urgent, but I thought y'all should know. dcs.log.old

Well, I got my adapter. After fiddling forever I got it to work with DCS. Aaaaaaaand...it was okay. Coming from a Reverb G2, it's a bit of a side-step. But I kinda knew this going in since I play PS5 games on it. Yes the colors are more vibrant, and the FOV may be a smidge larger, but not much else. The "Sweet-Spot" seemed a bit bigger compared to the G2, but overall seemed a little blurrier. I couldn't get it to work with UEVR (which I use to play Mechwarrior 5), so that's a deal breaker for replacing the G2 for now. My useless opinion? If you already have a G2, don't go out and get a PSVR2. I got mine for my PS5 and enjoy thoroughly. I'll hang on to the Adapter in case they decide to include foveated rendering for PC, or the UEVR guys get it working. When the G2 finally dies (or MS bricks it), I'll probably look into the Pimax Crystal Light as my Sim replacement headset. And that's my TED talk.

Dumb question. I'm currently running a Reverb G2, and don't want to foul that install up. If I just unplug the Reverb, and start DCS with the "-SteamVR" (or whatever it was), I won't break my previous install of the Reverb stuff, right? I can go back to the G2 if I want without issues? I should note that I've already got a PSVR2 and the adapter will be here today.

Disregard. I'm a complete moron. The option got unchecked by default it looks like. I re-enabled it and all is well. I'd like one large slice of humble pie, please.

The little red sight doesn't appear after clicking "enable visual recon mode". I've mapped the "clickable cockpit mode" to a button, and when I press it, the little yellow mouse "cursor" disappears like it's supposed to, but when I right-click my mouse to bring up the red sight...it never shows up. I've tried it in the Gazelle and the Apache. It was working pre-patch yesterday. Running in VR (Reverb G2) for what it's worth. Not sure a track would help, but I can get one if needed. I've turned off tracks just to squeeze a few FPS, but I'll run another mission with it on if it'll help. Not terribly important as I know there's a lot more going on.

I guess the thinking might have been to have the USAF with the latest and greatest equipment protect the Fulda Gap. So what about primary roles? Ground Pounding I assume? Except for the 57th FIS, of course.

So in theory, having the 4th TFW deploy to the Kola in the mid-80s would be feasible. Of course I think their F-4Es were the TISEO versions, but that'll come later. Thanks for the info! Didn't realize Wiki was this in depth.

Just of out curiosity, what would have been the Phantom's main mission in a typical "Cold War gone Hot" scenario in the '80s? I'm going to assume it would be the tactical bomber role, since by then, the Eagle was on the scene and filling the Air-to-Air role. Also, how many Front-line USAF Phantom squads were active during this time?
