Their ground and air forces are not the only deterrent so the probability of an attack on Russia in the current state of the world is pretty close to 0. Also I don't think anyone is fit enough for such a large scale conflict.

The depth-of-field in the footage could be making the cockpit look smaller but that's definitely a Ka-52. Look at him sitting in there, the middle MFD is in front of his right arm so he's sitting to the left of it.

Maybe you're being a bit too confident in your capabilities.

I have read a few stories of trips like this and this one was pretty good. I like her comments. It's very sad what happened (the catastrophe itself and the aftermath) but the area fascinates me, the emptiness and silence, it's got to be surreal. Why such a negative view on non-ED development? Of course with ED you know there's a certain standard and I wouldn't be interested in something not accurately modelled either but I think 3rd party developers could definitely make DCS-quality flyables as long as the tools allow everything to be edited properly. Despite being a fan of hardcore realism, I think an aircraft with partly classified data could still be acceptable -if- modelled very well and clearly stated what data used could not be 100% confirmed. That way we (those that want it) could have modern fighters/helis in DCS (that ED wouldn't even look at) as accurately modelled as possible, except for some data, but we would know what may not be correct as we fly around in it enjoying ourselves. :D

When I'm a little less busy I would consider teaming up with some talented people in the community and create something nice. I quite like the fact that the tools will only available for "qualified developers" to keep the level of quality high.

What does this have to do with the Eurofighter? Europe obviously needs an aircraft in this class to compete. What other option is there? I don't see it. And it is multirole, not some odd niche, so how is there not a proper role for it?
