Made the same mistakes initially but I found the trick is to have a bit of forward speed until you get into Ground Effect where you have more room to maneuver on the air cushion.

Should be noted though that it can take quite a beating before they fall off. Some seriously crazy maneuvers. The rotor is not nearly as "fragile" as on the Ka-50.

What a joy to fly! It did try to kill me at first (screenshot) but we have become friends now. It's just like how I would expect a helicopter to handle (have only flown them in RL twice in passenger seat). And the damage model adds to the fun. Spent a few minutes circling over some enemy units taking small arms fire. Landed safely but half my crew died. Great fun! Big thanks to everyone involved in the development! Always. And not just gameplay videos. Earlier I was watching an airshow video on youtube and the camera barely kept up with the jet passing leaving it at the edge of view. I noticed myself trying to use my magic trackir again. :doh:

I'm usually a hardcore fan of realism but I'd make an exception for a fictional Swedish skin just because our camo is too damn cool. It would look sexy in this. :D

There was no Russian tank assault in the 1992-1993 Abkhazia war. The separatists were however in possession of some tanks (possibly T-72, T-80) secretly supplied by Russia. Detailed information on this is hard to find. As for the 2008 South Ossetia war. Georgia fielded equal and slightly more advanced tanks (T-72B, T-72 SIM-1) than Russia had available in the north Caucasus. This did however not determine the outcome as the tanks did not clash. Most of the losses were to RPG's or abandoned for different reasons.

I've had this mouse problem too. The pointer still works but the hover/click coordinates are offset a bit and doesn't correspond to what is displayed (it's probably using the wrong resolution in the calculation, which is reset after alt-tab).

Only the JTAC and the ability to relocate assets on the F10 map during a mission is worth getting it for. As a bonus you also get the ability to control certain vehicles, which is fun but very simple and in no way comparable to the other modules.

This statement about disbanding one of the branches is just part of the political game. I don't think anyone is seriously considering it. ÖB obviously wants the politicians to understand that they can't keep cutting costs and still expect the same result.

It is not firing the previously selected round so I don't think that is it.

Switching turret weapon (E) to select the type of round currently allows firing of AP and HE in quick succession without reloading. I assume this is temporary?

1. Clear your cookies (can't see any cookie for language preference but there might be one). 2. Internet options -> General tab -> Languages -> make sure russian is not in the list (the website could make a decision based on preferred languages specified in the request). That's a couple of things that would be specific only to one browser. Also make sure you are not using a russian proxy with IE (it could make a decision based on host address) but you would obviously know if you did.
