I was only going to make one but since there was such a positive response I'm expanding this to a texture pack consisting of multiple Finnish air force liveries. It's easier to manage them this way rather than releasing them one by one. For now it contains three (MT-201, MT-213, MT-222) but I might make more. Beautiful one! :joystick:

Since I have this one nicely set up I could use it as a basis to make more Finnish liveries. I wouldn't mind making the MT-463 and/or MT-471 if you have some good pictures. Also open to more Finnish livery requests in this thread. Preferably I would do a few that are quite different from each other (different yellow front, different coloured camo, etc).

UPDATE: Version 1.2: Size corrections + minor adjustments A couple of small changes. This should be the final version. I have decreased the size of the roundels on the wings by about 4%. I initially measured only the underside but combined with a measurement of the top I think it is now more accurate (although it seems the size varied between different airframes so there perhaps isn't an exact answer). Also, the rear numerical markings have been increased very slightly in size. Download: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1089281/

Someone must be bored.

Ok I saw that in the screenshot thread as well. This is simply because a lack of knowledge. As has been pointed out, this is not the swastika of Germany. Therefore I doubt any censorship laws applies to it.

Nice! It actually looks really cool in a single colour like this. :D

I was looking into making changeable number markings but the default positioning was not good and it seems like it isn't possible to change it. Anyway, I have uploaded a new version containing one without numerical markings, one marked MT-601, as well as one marked MT-601 with its number (1) on the front sides. I have also made some small adjustments to the darker colour patches on the sides behind the canopy to more closely resemble the G-2 in the reference picture. UPDATE: Version 1.1: Added optional numerical markings + minor adjustments Download: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1089281/

Ok, and now for something completely different....
eurofor replied to Anatoli-Kagari9's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst
The "unpredictable" torque effect is a known characteristic of the 109. The nose up tendency feels perhaps a bit strong, I don't know if it is realistic. It is fully manageable though if you use full nose down trim and keep the stick forward a bit. Also make sure you have take-off assistance off (at 0) in the special settings tab. Before I realised it was on I also had a couple of strange flips on take-off. I don't want the assistance but strangely it seemed to just make the behaviour harder to control. To keep it straight once down simply hold back the stick and then make small corrections using the brakes. -

eurofor replied to Anatoli-Kagari9's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst
I have done many take-offs/landings and find them easy now. It behaves just the way I would expect of a 109. Try this: For take-off, use full trim nose down, apply the necessary amount of right rudder to stay on the centerline, push the stick forward when you can lift the tail-wheel off the ground and let the plane do the rest. For landing, fly it with idle throttle just above the runway until it sets itself down, let it roll for a moment and then pull the stick back and hold it there until the speed is manageable, use small taps on the brakes for corrections. -
Although I haven't used this feature as I have not made any MP missions it sounds like it would work. So problem solved then? Perhaps what is needed is just more variation so that both sides can have a collection of better and worse.

Great footage! Thanks for sharing, would rep you if I could.

This balancing issue mostly applies to open public servers running basically a "team deathmatch". There isn't really an easy way around it. No aircraft are ever going to be exactly equal so there's always going to be one considered better than another. For more realistic scenarios it would have to be organized better.

Try the open Beta 1.2.12 for MI-8MTV2
eurofor replied to jeffdude's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
That's great news. This beautiful helicopter deserves the love of having this detailed modelling. Of all the DCS modules I wouldn't be surprised if I had the most time spent in the Mi-8 by now. Keep up the good work! -
[FIXED] flaregun toggle function
eurofor replied to 9.JG27 DavidRed's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst
I would like to be able to toggle it on and off as well. While it doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would, it still would be nice to have the option. Pictures on this forum suggests it was otherwise placed in a leg holster so unless the mount requires tools and/or access from the outside I'm all for just hiding it at the press of a button.
