I don't know if this is a question of realism or not but I think NVG's would be a useful addition to the L-39. Perhaps it should even be a generic thing available in all aircraft?

No problem. I don't know either. My thought was simply that it could be the rocket motor burning brightly rather than the smoke itself that is making it look strange. I can't remember seeing any footage where S-5/S-8 rockets are burning so brightly/visibly after leaving the launcher. https://youtu.be/ckawJqbCOdw?t=10s

Then don't be lazy and read the text preceding the images before you comment. The only thing I'm referencing in those images is the rocket motors burn duration.

I haven't researched this much but here are a few examples of rocket motors that clearly only burn while inside the launcher.

There aren't many aircraft I would like to see more in DCS than the A-6. Preferably from LNS (;)) to complement the F-14.

That's horrible. Very sad. I didn't think it was that bad at first when I saw this BBC article.

It was a short stream. Not much news except that the L-39 IFR training blinds are functional and the evening/night sky is stunning.

My aircraft of choice for just cruising around in a free flight since its release.

If they are considering an A-6 Intruder at some point in the future that would be beyond exciting but I'll buy anything from LNS.
