  1. That's great news. This beautiful helicopter deserves the love of having this detailed modelling. Of all the DCS modules I wouldn't be surprised if I had the most time spent in the Mi-8 by now. Keep up the good work!
  2. I would like to be able to toggle it on and off as well. While it doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would, it still would be nice to have the option. Pictures on this forum suggests it was otherwise placed in a leg holster so unless the mount requires tools and/or access from the outside I'm all for just hiding it at the press of a button.
  3. Long before there was any talk of the WWII era in DCS I dreamt of what it would be like to have the 109, one of my absolute favourite aircraft, modelled to this extent. Now that's a reality and it's just lovely! I want to give a big thanks to ED and everyone who's involved with the development. Awesome work!
  4. This has been posted elsewhere in the forum before and I've kept the link for the Su-25 footage but I just realised that there was some great Mi-8 footage in there as well. Russian CSAR in Chechnya. It's worth watching.
  5. It seems the feathering system could be a possible cause of the crash. http://www.bbc.com/news/health-29880688
  6. Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo crashed during a test flight http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-29857182 EDIT: http://www.bbc.com/news/health-29880688
  7. I mean the 32 character code that is part of the url on the link in the email sent to you that goes directly to a page where the password can be changed.
  8. Hmm that's interesting. Somehow they must have got either a username or an email address to trigger it. So perhaps it is just testing? But even if it is not, I'm not worried. If anything it's just an annoyance. Those codes that were generated are too long to guess within any reasonable amount of time.
  9. Yes but for me and probably most people the usernames are the same on both.
  10. I got them as well. Unless there is testing going on my guess is that it could be a bot requesting password changes using usernames acquired from the forum.
  11. Antares rocket with Cygnus payload (cargo) for ISS explodes.
  12. Switch to gyro pipper mode (CU19).
  13. Great work LNS! I'm very impressed by the quality of this module!! Thank you! :D

    Das Boot

Not just the best war film, it's the best film ever made in my opinion. I have the 5-hour uncut version (in german of course) and like once a year or so I stack up on beer and sit down and watch it in one go. Love it.
  15. Pre-ordered. I can tell from the preview videos that you have made some great work and I can't wait to try it. :joystick:
  16. Not so good quality but still.
  17. Don't change it. It really gives the feeling of the desperate time at the end of the war when the Dora was sent up to fend off swarms of bombers and fighters. The unintelligible speech adds to the overall feeling.
  18. What a cool little jet. I had no idea I would like it this much!
  19. Hold down the nose wheel steering button continuously and only release it when you have straightened out before take off. The behaviour is quite strange when tapping the button.
  20. Yes of course, I should have read your post more carefully and taken notice of your wording. My first post in this thread was even remarking on the use of this word. I agree with your view. It's very much so that our human psyche has characteristics that make the vast majority share certain values. Some acts can be seen as wrong collectively but still subjectively. Killing is the prime example. It's based in a survival instinct for our own preservation. Evolution has favoured the behaviour of avoiding such acts.
  21. I wouldn't mind helping a fellow simmer but unfortunately I don't have what you need. Hope it works out for you.
  22. Always wrong? I suppose you then consider morality to be objective and separate from subjectivity?
