How are you guys setting up your TX comms in the F-14? I have my TX buttons mapped to the 4way hat on the side of the Warthog throttle (as it is shown in the manual) But the default F-14 Profile has wing sweep controls mapped to those buttons, and as we cant have different TX setting for each Aircraft I was wondering how you were modifying your profiles or your TX buttons? Thanks Hollywood. So for something like the Through the Inferno missions I should use the import keywords option as these menus are unlikely to change. But in DLC campaigns or campaigns in general I should use the take command option as the menus can change from mission to mission. Would that be correct? Sorry to keep going on about this but I just want to get it clear in my head. Cheers SD

However I am still a little confused by this part of the Manual Importing F10 Menus Some missions make use of the ‘Other’(F10) menu for special commands. If in Preferences the option ‘Import F10 Menus’ is enabled the F10 menu items will be added to the keyword database. The imported keywords cannot be used immediately, the updated keywords list must first be added to the VA profile. See Keywords Editor section in the Configuration Window chapter. It still seems to me that something needs to be imported into Vaicom. The above post allows me to navigate the F10 menus using the take command, but to me the manual seems to imply that there is a different (Better?) way to use the F10 menus. It seems to me that the way the manual is worded that the take command is fine for just navigating the F10 menu but to make best use of the F10 "Other" menu you have to import keywords into Vaicom Maybe I'm looking to much into this but it just has me a bit confused and I would like to get some clarification on this. Aha Sorry for late response I have been a bit distracted by the F-14 :) Thanks for replying. So if there is a mission based F10 menu choice to embark troops under F10 - menu item 4- Menu Item 2 I would just need to say Options(to bring up the F10 menu) - Take4 (to choose menu option 4) - Take2 (to choose Menu Option 2)..... I assume that is correct? Looks like I just couldnt see the wood for the trees. I was thinking it was really complicated and it seems to actually be quite a simple task. Ding. It says so in the Upadte notes. Known Issues F-14B_IA_Caucasus_Dance_of_the_Vampires.miz and F-14B_IA_PG_tour.miz are not working in current build. I'm sure they will be fixed soon. SD

It also seems to me that the IP assumes that you have read the manual and NATOPS........ Oops I must admit I havent read them as I like to read the manual once I have the Aircraft and I can try things out in the cockpit I find reading manuals without the aircraft a bit dry and abstract. Anyhoo I thought I would be able to follow along with the training missions but I did find myself losing track opf what was going on. sometimes the flashing Orange things wouldnt go away, at other times the IP wousay something like "put the hook bypass to field" eeeerrrrrrr where the heck is the hook bypass? no flashing orange thingy He says a lot of things and Im like WTH is that and where is it?? And that airfield landing tut. Wow I was all over the sky on that one looking for knobs and needles LOL I am loving the module though and I am muddling through with the manual at the moment. SD

Thanks Snako But I am still a little confused. OK. So we dont have to manually import the commands they are automatically imported into Vaicom. Correct? Then why does the manual say you wont be able to use them imediately. you must import them?? If I want to fly a single player campaign (ARGO campaign or the UN campaign) there are usually a whole load of commands on the F10 menu How do I use these commands in DCS? how do I know what the keywords are and the voice commands to issue these commandss Maybe I'm just being dense or just missing something but I just cant get to grips with this for some reason its just not clicking. maybe someone can talk me through in baby steps just how to do this. Do I have to fly the mission first and how do I export the keywords from the mission in order to import them into Vaicom? I am a bit confused and need some help. Cheers SD

I really dont like the way zoom works in VR. the elastic band feel of it and the deformation of the view is really really jarring. I really wish we could have the zoom view work like it does on a flat screen. SD

Impailer Take a look at grumans post in this thread. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=171629&highlight=VR+desktop+shortcut It is just a matter of creating two shortcuts on your desktop. I use this method and it works really well. you coould always use Skatezillas tool which is great BTW. Cheers SD

Could someone please explain. In dummy terms and baby steps how to set up the PTTkeys buttons and dcs options. I am tying myself in knots trying to figure out which dcs options to delete and if they are deleted in the dcs options how does the game pick up my hotas button presses. I have Viacom installed and working but What I need as I said is a dummies guide to setting up PTT. I have an x55 if that's any help.
