  1. That's what happens when you are the leading nation in military aviation. Because you are a big leap ahead of anyone else, IIRC being the only nation in the world to be currently mass producing 5th gen stealth fighters, the advanced 4th gen stuff is enough of a step back to be declassified. Sadly for us, they are about the only ones in the world to do this.
  2. Yup, that's the sad thing with making modern modules. You need either a military contract or a government willing to provide access to documentation, both being very rare. But if luck holds up we will have an awesome module. Though knowing the French the second option is ruled out, same thing with the Russians, Swedes, and etc. Right now better get our buts over to E3 2017 to fly the F/A-18c in DCS (at the Thrustmaster booth)! There's even speculation that Thrustmaster has secretly being developing an F/A-18c HOTAS (hopefully)/stick, however this is just speculation. But it being polished enough to let people fly it makes me think that the release date is closer than we think, that's just my speculation though. So gonna keep my hopes up for E3 this year!
  3. Hey! If you continue animating so good, I'll think you are posting pictures of the real deal! :D
  4. Watching them in comparison really makes you see the awesome improvements to the lighting! Fantastic work!
  5. Tovarish! Yak-9K, Russian Bias for the win)))))))))))))))))))))))))) Well, actually that thing wasn't that common nor practical. So my bets for Eastern front aircraft are Yak-1, Pe-2, LaGG-3, Il-2 (for earlier stuff), and Yak-3, La-5/7, (for later war scenarios). But first let them flesh out the Western front, since that's the order they have decided to do things in.
  6. That's a big relief, I have always feared that the Viper i was studying in that "certain 3 letter flight sim" was in some way altered because of classification issues, Thanks.
  7. Gonna have to get studying! Currently viewing for the 3-rd time, awesome work!
  8. Was about to make my post, but after reading this it would resemble a double post. Couldn't agree more!
  9. Honestly don't know, it's like a natural phenomena. Keeps happening... Plus I have found another aircraft to derail threads with! The Pheonix will be great for scrubbing the enemy's energy/positioning before the MRM fight, by forcing them to evade. Make them easier targets for your Sparrows. Though outright killing something with it will be rare. However it might have a chance of not getting picked up by the RWR, if luck is on your side that is, with it's diving attack profile. Since it, IIRC ,only uses it's own radar for terminal guidance. And it has the ability of being launched in TWS. Still, that's only a theoretical possibility. Though I will be more than happy to lob these at the enemy and watch them screw up all their energy. The sneaky attack capability is still theoretically there (if you are high enough).
  10. That would be a dream!
  11. Would've been great though! And the plus side with having a second crew member is that you can blame it all on them! And of course if an F/A-18C flies heads down they will be easy prey for a lurking and sneaking MiG-21bis or MiG-19p in the mountains using GCI. Sad thing we can never have something as capable for the RED team. So we're gonna have to do what we do best, sneak and R-60M! This thread and the people on it are so great. I literally can't stop laughing! :D
  12. As seen here you have an army of potential testers... But if you keep hyping us this good we will soon turn into an army of pitchfork and torch wielding angry costumers at your doorstep demanding for it to be released! For all honesty though, great progress and feel free to take as much time as you need! BTW could you pretty please make some live-streams of it like you did with the Viggen? That would be awesome!
  13. Well that, probable, minority also has me in it. Feel the same way about the F-16A being a better module than the F-16C, since that would just be a carrier incapable, but better in BFM, F/A-18C re-skin. And getting a light fighter from that period would be an awesome treat! And of course, add the bonus of it being old and thus easier to get documentation on! Classified stuff is always a pain for study-sims...
  14. I think a safe bet would be something like the Viggen, maybe a little sooner. Honestly can't wait! The F/A-18 was also rumored to be a late 2017 release by Wags. And he has been putting little F/A-18 teaser frames in his videos ever since. Going to be interesting to see which one comes first! Though my hopes would be on a historically inaccurate order... In my head (with the models we are getting) the F/A-18 slips ahead, by a sliver, for it's multi-role capability. But the F-14 still holds on to the Hornets less sturdily constructed airframe, Top-Gunning the second slot. But I mean really... Imagine going on a OCA/Strike/CAS/Etc... run, while retaining better A-A weapons than the M-2000c!?!? GIMME, GIMME, GIMME! I imagine that in MP the F-14 is strategically going to be used as an area denial weapon, with it's capabilities to out-range pretty much anything and carry a boat-load of missiles. While the F/A-18 is going to be the true work-horse, getting used for everything.
  15. F-16 would be a dream, it would be an A-10c with very good A-A in terms of systems. But we are already getting the F/A-18, with very similar capabilities. So for a new aircraft to start development of, I would prefer the F-117 (if we were to get those 2 choices). It would provide something completely new, a stealth aircraft. Talking about the F-117, it would be ideal for deep strikes on MP. If you are not a Russian FC3 aircraft (IRST master-race), you would have to get really close or use your eyes to spot it. Though only carrying 2 bombs would mean that you have to RTB often, and not carrying A-A weapons would make being against Russian FC3 aircraft, or pilots who have eyes, a scary experience. Still, with proper masking and sneaking, would be a very interesting aircraft though. The best part about it though, is that it is out of service. Which means we can actually expect a module of it to have sufficient documentation!
  16. Honestly this is my favorite style of development. Giving awesome updates so frequently really keeps the hype up, and with every passing update reminds us of just how far you have come. It really is a special thing to see a module being developed from the ground up, and you guys are awesome for doing it!
  17. Yup, we had it coming. We not only derailed the thread, we re-railed it back to another sub-forum! You know, the one where we can discuss the real world. And the new video, by RAZBAM, is awesome! Better get memorizing, so that we can perform the best we can on day-1!
  18. That's a pleasant surprise!
  19. One can hope...

    Modules title

I think he meant the sub-forums.
  21. IIRC they said that because of the differences in the engines (again IIRC), they have to start from scratch.
  22. In order to fly at those speeds you use AB, and with AB your negative G tanks lasts a tiny amount of time. Thus you can starve the engine of fuel by an unnoticeable nose drop, if it lasts enough. Though I am not sure, just my little conspiracy theories.
  23. What I would surely love with the F-4E would be the radar. Like the AJS-37s flight computer, the A-10Cs variety of weapons, the MiG-23s manually adjusted wing-geometry, MiG-21bis AoA, and old gun-sights (P-51D), it would provide a quite capable piece of kit. But at the same time require some work to properly operate. In my opinion the harder something is to master, the longer it provides fun and engaging gameplay. The radar really reminds me of a Russian SAM site. You would have to lock the enemy 2 times ( both in attitude and range). And picking out things mid ground clutter will surely provide some interesting challenges! I really don't understand why someone hasn't made a Phantom 2 yet... The multi-crew tech is there, and the demand is massive. Such a module would surely sell awesomely, making it would seem like a no-brainer to me... Oh well, gotta hope!
  24. The MiG-19S was never deployed in the conflict, but a Chinese copy of it was.:smartass:
  25. ... IS A GOOD IDEA!
