  1. Thanks! :)
  2. That video doesn't quite seem to work here... :I Anyways, thanks for creating my favorite module! :D
  3. Hello Dolphin887! I know off topic, but... It looks like we are gonna get teased again. And this time without knowing what exactly is going to come! ;) So, can we get a tiny hint? Or at least a hint about a hint. Or a hint about a hint of a hint. Or a hint of a hint of a hint of a hint? Or a hint of a hint of a hint of a hint of a hint that I am just dreaming! :) I see your writings on the site have turned a bit RED after the "Cooking" had been announced... *EDIT* 2 weeks! :D
  4. Has anyone asked them about a MiG-29? Or does ED/TFC have plans to do that in their plan to make full fidelity modules of the FC3 aircraft? And, how about a MiG-25PD (in a theoretical scenario where the MiG-23 would be in development by someone else)? O_O But... I personally would prefer a MiG-23ML to the MiG-25PD. The MiG-23ML is just a more practical plane for the current MP meta (since it can dogfight). But the MiG-25PD would be a nice BVR counterpart to it. They would work nicely in a team! :D And oh the missile dragging you could do in the MiG-25PD! You would go (at max speed) faster than the short range IR-missiles and only 1-2 mach slower than the BVR missiles! :O But first... Where mah MiG-23ML!!! >:]
  5. There's always hope they'l just do another Russian aircraft. Or for that matter they have started developing it after the post. Oh well... Gotta hope! :) And, of course there's the possibility that someone else is doing it (if it "conflicts with already existing plans"...)! :D
  6. They (Cobra/Leatherneck) have said in an old interview that they were going to make a MiG-23... But something navy related was going to come first. If someone can link the interview, that would be great! :D Gotta hope for the "Flogger"... Gotta hope, and dream! *Puts on tinfoil hat* BTW the text on their website has gone a bit more red... Could this be a hint at a RED aircraft!?!? :D
  7. You forgot the Su-27! :D But yeah... Gotta hope for mah MiG-23! :)
  8. Same here! Though the MiG-23 would be awesome! I doubt that we are ever gonna get one... :(
  9. Ok, dreams over. ;)
  10. Oh, Leatherneck! You teasing bastards! ;) Dis gunna be gud! :D Honestly anything they make is awesome, so WOOO!!! But gotta hope... MiG-23! ))))))))))))))) Have a test about Africa tomorrow... So gotta study! :I But still... GIMME' GIMME' GIMME'! :D
  11. The MiG-23MLA would indeed probably be a better choice... But mah' greed! >:] As for not being a match for 4th gen fighters... Well I fly the MiG-21bis against modern thingies, so I'm "a bit" biased. ;) Anyways... With certain maneuvers you can pretty much auto-evade missiles within the current mechanics. And why get detected/fired upon in the first place? With IRST sneaking is a lot easier! And with IR-MRM missiles you can stealth fire! Which means that the missiles will have a non-evading target. And when you sneak in R-73 range (MiG-23MLD only)... It's over! I'm probably way too exited! :D But, in my opinion the MiG-23ML model would be the ideal variant (if you could only have 1). It provides the best of both worlds, and is the first variant where dogfight capability was a major factor in design. Dogfight capability being a major factor because the BVR missiles are only good for non-evading targets (bombers, fighters that have no idea you are there because you use IRST :) ).
  12. So, we may still have hope for those!?!? :D
  13. Yup! But... MiG-23! :D
  14. "Do a barrel... Ugh, I mean aileron roll!"
  15. Well... I just fly the MiG-21bis against modern thingies, so... Historically accurate! :D Actually... If we are talking about past June 22. 1985... We are talking F-15c, and M-2000c vs Su-27, and MiG-29! :I And, after all... The year is 1985.. And Big Brother is watching you!
  16. And I'd rather fly sneaky escort with the MiG-23M/MLD (IRST+IR-MRM masterrace!). :) But then crash into a hillside because it's night! ;)
  17. I could do with a MiG-23M model as well. IRST+R-23T is still a sneaky combo! :D Honestly I am happy with any A-A variant (for A-G I would prefer the Su-22!)... But my greed for advanced Russian tech really shows with the MiG-23MLD choice (and the R-73 masterrace ;) )! :) The MiG-23M model because that was the truly mass produced one, and what I would think of if I heard "MiG-23". And as to the MiG-23MLD not being lethal enough compared to modern fighters... Yeah, and no... The A-A armament is the same as the Su-27 (with less spam) on MP servers with weapon restrictions. And the famous IRST+medium range IR-guided missile combination is there. But the avionics and air frame design are starting to show their age. Sadly I fear that the MiG-23MLD would be the most modern full fidelity Russian fighter we get in DCS... The Russians are very secretive about their thingies (as ED has run into that problem in the past)! :( Welp! Lets hope for some kind of official contract (like with the Ka-50)! :D Though it may be a very long wait...
  18. Would prefer a late 2-generation A-A model (MiG-23MLD)! :) However any model could really do... My favorite option would be to have the first truly mass produced variant (MiG-23M) and the newest official variant (MiG-23MLD). This would allow for both a mid and late cold war aircraft. However if I had to choose, I would choose the MiG-23MLD with the new Sapfir-23MLA-II with upgraded dogfight and look down shoot down, SPO-15L, new chaff/flare dispensers, R-24R/T, aerodynamic improvements, and the very effective R-73. :D *EDIT* Also IRST+R-24T master race! )))))))))))))))))))))))))
  19. )))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
  20. That is if anyone is gonna use them at all... Most are gonna sneak, life's just that way. ;) But with IRST and medium range IR missiles... Gonna be good! :D
  21. Yeah... It wasn't very successful. :) However, it still is an interesting plane because of it's hovering capability... Which, lets say wasn't the easiest to use. It had major problems with control and slipping over. :I They even had to develop a special ejection seat which would detect the slip and eject the pilot... This had the flaw of sometimes ejecting the pilot under controlled maneuvers. Because it gave the pilot no warning, he/she had no time to prepare for ejection... Thus it created many lost planes and wounded pilots. :( Welp! Soviet tech is Soviet tech... And I want my Soviet tech fast (with no back injuries of course...)! >:] I still want my MiG-23MLD! It would be awesome! :3
  22. If you were looking at A-A that would be a step back from the MiG-21bis... ;) Still... An interesting plane! :D I just think that a later A-A model (2-gen - probably MiG-23MLD) MiG-23 would have more mass appeal... :)
  23. I don't care what variant we're getting (if it's A-A!)... But the MiG-23MLD would be my favorite as well. As long as it is a 2-generation variant, I think people will be pleased. I could do with a 1-generation one as well... Would still be an improvement over the MiG-21bis and R-3R's. ;) And yes... Something about RAZBAM not getting the license, because it "conflicts with already existing plans" does sound kinda "MiGGy"... Ok that bad "fishy" pun out of the way, I also think that one is in development! :D http://forums.mudspike.com/t/razbam-mig-23-canceled/3314/90

That sounds awfully like we are gonna get one... :D
