Just saw that video yesterday! Truly a masterpiece! :thumbup: This would really be nice in DCS! Now combine that with a full fidelity Russian fighter escort from the same time (MiG-23 A-A variant) and we have a really nice Russian lineup! :D

*Puts on tinfoil hat* Maybe we are getting one from "Heatblur"... I mean they do tend to be/attempt to be secretive ("Viggen") about their projects... And they are currently in the later stages of development for the F-14 "Tomcat". Which means that they are the only ones to have experience on swing wing designs. They ("Cobra") have also said in an old interview that they are going to do one... Everything lines up! The Sun, Earth, and the Second Sun! (I know it's out there because I saw 2 reflections off 2 rounded objects close to each other! And I know that they hide it in a way so it's light passes through the atmosphere and hits the 1 surface... But not my eyes!:smartass:). They are developing one in secret and getting funded by the "Illuminati"! *takes off tinfoil hat, then regrets decision and puts it back on* THE MIG-23 IS GONNA BE THEIR NEXT MODULE!!! *takes tinfoil hat off (for realz this time! ;) )* On a less tinfoily note... Please God let it be true!!! :D

Though getting very slow (below the enemies stall speed) to evade an enemy could be an interesting tactic to deny him/her a gun solution... I think that I will have to rethink big chunks of my BFM "tactics", but so will the enemy. :) I am interested... Will you guys develop the AI to use different nozzle positions in a dogfight? And... With the hovering capability... I can't stop thinking "Hot shots"! :D

So... On a lighter A-A load the Harrier will be capable of some interesting maneuvers. How will it handle extreme slow flight? If you (are incompetent like me, and...) blow all your energy how will she handle? Btw I have discovered (through my incompetence) that extreme slow speed flight may actually be a valid tactic in the M-2000c. :D So as far as I understand you will have a certain unrecoverable slip angle (in a hover and very slow speed flight)... Where the nozzles will not be able to create thrust downwards. Is there any exact documented maximum angle (if it was already posted I feel dumb...)? And how's the EW suite? Is it just the basic noise jammer or something more advanced? And... 100 pages! :D

I am wondering if hovering is going to get some use in A-A combat? If not hovering, then I do think very slow flight is going to be an interesting tactic... :)

Yeah... ;) Still, it sadly glitched out and didn't do anything... Gave us a glitching airfield tho! So it kinda did it's job. :P

Welp! It still kinda qualifies as a multi-role aircraft... ;) Though I do get the point of it not being very good at it. :P Still... I used it in multiplayer 1 time to bomb a runway... Let's say there was a certain lack of competence... Nuking the runway in the MiG-21bis went a bit better! :D

Again, that is where we have different definitions. :) Yes, I do think the MP servers would be a lot less A-A heavy if FC3 aircraft were to just magically disappear. But we already have a competent full fidelity multi-role fighter in game. The M-2000c is (in my experience) more than capable of winning in A-A against an FC3 aircraft. In SP you can shoot down fully equipped M-2000c's in the MiG-21bis in a fair fight with no masking. Against the F-15c it's pretty much the same. So I would be happy to get something like the MiG-23 or Su-15. Would allow for a bit more options than just sneaking or evading till' a merge. I know... I am a probably focusing way too little on the actual practicality of an aircraft in MP. But you gotta say... Shooting down a Mirage in a MiG-21bis does feel awesome! :D *EDIT* Is there an official definition of "proper opponent" that I am missing out on? If so... I feel stupid! :P

Soo... Do you guys have any news as to what you are planning next? Or are we gonna get teased again... ;) My favorite option would be the MiG-23 (A-A variant plez!). It would be a Russian swing wing so would fit together with the F-14... But ED has already not given RAZBAM the license to develop it soo... *puts tinfoil hat on* ... Could it already be in development by someone!?!? :D On a bit less tinfoil'y note... The Su-15 would be awesome! And the MiG-25/31 would be a nice opponent for the F-14... Though they might be a little hard to get documentation on... :( In the end I might have a slight bias for Russian cold war aircraft... But well, I come from a former Soviet republic so whatcha gonna do... ;)

Same here! Sadly there are currently no BVR capable Russian full fidelity fighters in DCS... Would also love the Su-15! And of course... The MiG-25/31! But those might be a bit complicated to get documentation on... ;) Currently we are getting the MiG-19p by RAZBAM! But I would also love something in the opposite direction... :D

I wouldn't count them as proper opponents... Now that is where our definitions are different. In my definition a proper opponent is a playable full fidelity module, so FC3 just doesn't cut it for me... :( I know... I have been a bit spoiled by awesome modules like the MiG-21bis, M-2000c, AJS-37, and KA-50. ;) And as for the "atm" part... I sadly don't see them getting a full fidelity module any time soon... :(
