To be fair to Razbam when the Harrier was released none of the sounds in DCS were up to much .

.....Or in low light situations in DCS , for example, currently if a object on the ground on a sunny day is positioned under a cloud casting its own shadow on the ground the object casts no shadow giving it the appearance of 2d and floating and also the wild blue tint added to terrain and objects under cloud or in low light is also a bit of an immersion killer as well. Cheers , no idea when they'll be finished as its just a hobby not my full time job but I'm not far away from being happy with the progress , the way RAZBAM designed the sound set is very hard to get your head around and requires a lot of in and out of the game to re do what you initially thought was going to work...anyway a little vid update is just around the corner and ill post a link here when its uploaded to Youtube. I wonder if the reason the patch is delayed is because they are finally, after all these years, adding shadows to objects that are under clouds so they no longer look like they are just floating in mid air.

Hmm what will happen to older modules such as the harrier etc. will they still be compatible with future versions of DCS or will they fall by the wayside ? Isn't it about time we had some kind of formal statement from ED about the future of all RAZBAM products currently in DCS ? Cheers Jafa.

I really enjoyed the sound modding , but once they locked it and gave us the middle finger I left and deleted this game from my pc.

Ive said more or less the same thing my self in another thread , was told that modding ED files has never been acceptable and that why the files are now locked........even though the files have been open for YEARS and there have been HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of user mods which apparently ED hadn't noticed were made even though they needed approval before they could be listed on this site :doh: Jafa

Er... are you all blind and stupid ? I would say after looking at the file structure from the update that ED has given you the middle finger and locked you out of any future sound modding , yes you can still get some stuff to work if you restructure but what are you going to do when ED alter a sound or sdef in one the locked files in a future update ? To cut to chase , no platform to work with , no point in being here. Jafa

Do you have file/path set up , cos I tried it with some external sound mod for the f18 and It didnt work. Cheers Jafa
