Ive said more or less the same thing my self in another thread , was told that modding ED files has never been acceptable and that why the files are now locked........even though the files have been open for YEARS and there have been HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of user mods which apparently ED hadn't noticed were made even though they needed approval before they could be listed on this site :doh: Jafa

Er... are you all blind and stupid ? I would say after looking at the file structure from the update that ED has given you the middle finger and locked you out of any future sound modding , yes you can still get some stuff to work if you restructure but what are you going to do when ED alter a sound or sdef in one the locked files in a future update ? To cut to chase , no platform to work with , no point in being here. Jafa

Do you have file/path set up , cos I tried it with some external sound mod for the f18 and It didnt work. Cheers Jafa

Hmm , maybe you misunderstand me , this is not a sdef issue its a code and trigger issue and is something that could only have been changed by ED internally , maybe this will become more apparent to you and others if you start a fresh mod , anyway ill leave it at that for now as I feel like im hijacking your thread with non related issues. For example if you set "plane afterburner" volume to 0 you will hear that ...for Example..."Distant_Jet_Afterburner_Side" cuts out and then fades in again as the aircraft becomes more distant... Roll on 2020 Cheers Jafa

As of 4/10/2019 "Distant Jet Afterburner" sound peramerters have changed and it has totally screwed up most of my audio work , any of you noticing this as well ? Roll on 2020 Cheers Jafa

Its an audio setting that can be eazily altered to whatever you want or to no effects at all , ive turned mine into the actuator sound for the turkey feathers. Cheers Jafa
