If its $2500 he will be keeping his X5700. I heard about $1500 even that's still expensive maybe a 4080 but I will try to keep my word. With out that what else do we have.

Already upgraded GPU to a 3080FTW a few months ago should have waited could get a Ti for what I paid for it. Plan on getting a 4090 when they come out. Promised my grandson the 3080 when the 4090 comes out but never planed my system dying. It looks like the 5800x3d is out preforming just about everything in DCS, MSFS 2020 and a lot of racing Sim's do to the 96 meg of L3 Cache. That's the reason I'm looking at the R9 7900x it has 64 meg L3 the 12700K has 25 meg.

First thanks for the reply's. This is getting confusing I'm trying to future proof as much as possible. I can wait for a month or so using laptops for now no Simms. I'm thinking of the AMD R9 7900X because of the 5.6mgz boost and the 64gb level 3 Cache it should out preform the x58003d and 12700k only 25mg Cache by a good amount. I'm looking for the best for the system for the simms I love DCS, X-Plane, MSFS 2020 and a few racing simms. I'm in my 70's and this could be my last rig.

My 8700K and Asus Maximus Hero are now dead from a water leak so I need a new motherboard and CPU. I ordered a AMD 5800x3d but returned it after I discovered that AMD and Inter are realizing there new CPU’s very soon. I only play Simms in VR HP Reverb 2 with a 3080 FTW mostly X-Plane 11 and X-Plane 12 when new rig is up and runing, DCS MSFS 2020 and racing Simm’s. These are the 3 CPU’s I’m thinking about. AMD R7 7700X 5.4mhz Boost L3-Cache 32MB ASUS Strix 670E-E Gaming WIFI Motherboard 32gb 5200 DDR5 New AMD CPU Socket AM5 New socket and new memory AMD R7 5800X3D 4.5mhz Boost L3-Cache 98MB ASUS Strix 570E-E Gaming WIFI Motherboard 32gb 3200 DDR4 Discontinued AMD CPU Socket AM4 Can use my DDR4 3200 memory Intel 12700K 5.0mhz Boost Or the new 13700K 5.3mhz Boost coming out in October L3-Cache 25MB and 30MB ASUS Strix 690E-A Gaming WIFI Motherboard 32gb 3200 DDR5 1700 Socket will be replaced after the 1300 Series Can use my DDR4 3200 memory I never used AMD but I’m leaning to the R7 7700X mainly because of how long the motherboard socket last. The highest I've seen with my 1080ti is Syria is 10.4gb so far. I need to make a dissension within 20 hours of getting the email or I'll loose it. Evga had the 3080ti for sale to day for 1429. I plan on getting a 4080 when they come out and either sell the 3080 or give it to my grand son. I'm hoping to get smoother performance with the 3080 over the 1080ti.

I’ve been on Evga’s waiting list for about a year I just received a email form Evga that I could purchase 3080 FTW 3 Ultra Gaming GPU for list price 919.00. The 3080Ti FTW 3 has been showing up at Evga for list price 1429.00. Quick question would you get the 3080 or the 3080Ti for 510.00 more? Is the 3080Ti worth the price difference for DCS and X-Plane 11 and maybe the 4000 series maybe coming out in 6-8 months. I was going to wait for the 4000 series but who knows what’s going to happen in the next 6-8 month. 8700K @ 5.1ghz. Now the hard part finding a 3080ti. I put my name on Evga's list for a 3080ti FTW3 and a 380 FTW3 only 2gb difference don't know how much hat will hurt performance my biggest question is it worth it 889.99 for the 3080 and 1399.99 for the 3080ti . My 1080ti FTW has served me well. I run the pixel density at 1.0 and it's smooth with a slight mini freeze once in he while and I would like go move the sliders higher.

I running an 8700K @ 5.2ghz with 32gb of 3200 DDR4 ram and a Evga 1080ti along with a first gen Reverb head set. I would like to get DCS smother in VR. What would be by best upgrade option? Upgrading my CPU or Going from the 1080ti to a 3080 or a 3080ti? Is the 3080ti worth it over the 3080? Would getting a Reverb G2 make an improvement I can give my G1 to my Grandson?

Gauge and instrument lights Does anybody else have this problem? Ever since I installed the A-10C II the interior gauge and instrument lights do not turn on. This is happening with the A-10C and A-10C II both are up and running and all the dials are turned all the way up but all the lights are off.

I just got the F-16 and I'm setting up my HOTAS and I can not find the command to to set up the Noise Wheel Steering to HOTAS like on the F-18. Thanks for any help

It has nothing to due with the money. I don't have the F-14 I purchased the Pro because thought it would include automatic future upgrades like other software I have. No be deal, I fly only in VR and love their product. :thumbup:

I you already have a PRO license will we get Realistic ATC? At their sight if you purchase the Pro it comes with Realistic ATC.

Vailcom is not working with the Super Carrier If you have the Pro version is the Realistic ATC extension included and when will it be released. The Super Carrier is the main reason I purchased the Pro version.

I downloaded a second copy of DCS Openbeta to a different drive the the first one is for VR and I want to use the second for my 2 monitors. With the monitor install I can have DCS running and YouTube on the other for learning. The problem is that both the second copy over wrote the Save Games DCS.Openbata folder. I now have 2 DCS.openbata folders I call "DCS.openbata VR" and "DCS.openbata NV". I need to keep removing the VR or NV from the folders depending which one I'm using. Is there any way to change the Saved Games DCS.openbeta name or have it sent to another folder? I hope I'm explaining this correctly.

Yes added scratchpad and playback... profile to the list of daisy chained profiles, in the profile options for VAICOM Pro. It would be nice if someone could post all the files needed and in which directories and folders they should be placed in, then we can double check that they are in the correct folders and if any are missing.:book:

I got Voice Attack and Vaicom working but can not get speech to text to work in Scrachapd. I put the "Scratchpad and Playback v1.3-Profile.vap" from #50 into Program Files(86)/VoiceAttack/Apps/VAICOMPRO/Profiles Folder also created the scratch pad Profile and enabled import in Voice Attack. but can not get them to work but Voice Attack works?

Quick question if I say "Take 10" should it open the Map and "Take 1" close it or if that just for the on screen menu? I tried adding a voice command in Voice Attack "Open Map" use the key F10 and "Close Map" use key F1 but I can"t get it to work. I'm trying to learn this
