  1. I'll make a point of looking at them. Is it a bug? EDIT: Top answer. The rotor tips were indeed broken. It's hard to see HOW they were broken, they didn't appear to have come into contact with the ground. Hey ho.
  2. No, it's not the collective or it's settings. I can do good take offs and landings. It's just if I do a less than good take off and bump the ground or scrape the ground. I'm wise to 'make sure the collective is down before you spawn' thing. Thanks for an answer though.
  3. I've had the Gazelle for a day now and written of a load of 'em. The problem seems to be that if the take off is anything less than dead smooth, i.e. a tiny bounce and a scrape of the skids (What else are they for?) the helicopter refuses to even attempt to get itself off the ground. The engine is still running but no amount of working the collective has any effect. If, rather when, I make a smooth take off she is a sweetheart, but one that is very fragile. What am I doing wrong? Because I can't find anyone else with the same issue. :(
  4. Those were the days. :)
  5. I use Firefox and it doesn't work.
  6. I think that was a 'Bugger off and leave me alone' :(
  7. It's incredible that of all the fantastic minds that abound in and around Eagle Dynamics, that there isn't one that can fix what can only be a case of dotting an I or crossing a T somewhere. It's not a case of only one or two server providers encountering this, there are loads of us, all with the identical problem. This has dragged on too long. I'll get me coat.
  8. Have you even seen THIS thread? Not sure how much more details you need.
  9. Does anyone know exactly what this means? Well, I guess someone knows, it's all Dutch to me. No offense to Nederlanders.:smilewink:
  10. It's not a case of the servers not being up or unjoinable(?) but whether the server owner can access the webGUI. For my part, I can see my server on the server list and it can be joined but I cannot get the webGUI to see it.
  11. Maybe they're waiting for users to work out what has gone wrong.
  12. Is that something we have to do? If so, what? :)
  13. Dang! Wrong again. I didn't see that bank of circuit breakers. I got round as far as the enable weapons switches. So that's gear and flaps sorted out in one fell swoop. I'm obliged Mr Rohde.
  14. Landeklappen eh? I'm pretty certain I switched that, in fact ALL of them to on but I do recall being wrong once. Long time ago mind. :) I'll be back.
  15. Online? Huh. :( Got to be something I'm missing then. Damned if I know what though.
  16. Offline, gear and flaps work exactly how they should. (I ought to know, I have an A-8 which I fly at weekends) Online it's a different story. Flaps are down at spawn and stay down whichever button you smash! Button animations work properly but there is no follow through. Gear stays down and no amount of button pressing OR mouse usage has any effect. Once again the animations are correct. P.S. I lied about having an A-8 :smartass: Other than that it's a cracker!
  17. Sadly, no-one among the 90 views is from the department that knows about these things. :(
  18. Excellent! Not just my cock-up then. :)
  19. Since 'the update' today the web site GUI for my dedicated server is only showing 'Server not responding'. Using both methods of setting up a server, the 'ingame' method and the Dedicated no render etc. both of which appear in the server list and are joinable. The only modification I've made is editing the dedicatedServe.lua to enable a change of 'player' name. This was of course overwritten by the update. Any clues as to why this would suddenly go AWOL? EDIT: I've been on my DCS account profile and my server shows up in 'My Servers'. Clicking on my server brings the same result, Not responding.
  20. I can't believe that this thread has trundled on for six pages of posts full of....What? Doh! I just added another one! Aaaagh!
  21. Heads up Neil, this is the INTERNET.
  22. That'll be me. :)
  23. I had a chat with one of the guys in the 'sixpack' and he said he had issues with the Yak. But. They went away when he upgraded his machine. So, it is something to do with the machine. But. It certainly does need sorting out. You shouldn't need to upgrade your PC on account of one rogue module. Let's call it an honourable draw.:smilewink:
