  1. Are you joining servers with labels turned off?
  2. Pedals. All day long.
  3. I keep going to have a look at that file but...but, I can't see any logic in it. Doubtless it IS there but I can't see it. Hey ho.
  4. That's encouraging. Are you up for a job like that? :smilewink:
  5. Is it possible to edit the Labels.lua so that only the player name is visible? I took a look at the lua and closed it immediately! Too scarey by half. :(
  6. My apologies for the 'attitude', it was not my finest hour. In my defense, your original question was not the same as your second post, which would have elicited a different response. But no excuses for bad manners though.
  7. Never mind.
  8. That is surely the point of a dedicated server, that it is run on a separate machine to to a client machine. I might be missing something here, but how do you know if a server is a dedicated server or not. More importantly, why should you care? A server is a server, it only matters to the person running it.
  9. See my edit. :)
  10. I obviously haven't explained it very well. I'll try again. I have landed, very nicely. Taxied to the ramp and turned off my engine whilst I waited for a friend to join the server. Friend arrives and I attempt to restart the engine. Which it will not do! How's that? EDIT: No fool like an old fool. First ensure that the pneumatic system knob is rotated fully aft.
  11. Has anyone else had this problem? Restarting the Yak after shutting down the engine? That is to say, returning to C&D, then trying to start up again. I've not yet managed it. Have to get a new plane. :noexpression:
  12. Without reading through 26 pages, did the OP go for VR or TIR? My bet would be VR, the only way to fly!
  13. Isn't this thread about the Yak? Sort of gone off at a tangent wouldn't you say?
  14. Golly! It's livened up in here all of a sudden.
  15. That is to say the switch right of the battery and generator switches and inboard of the pitot heat switch. Got it? :) Well I cannot get it to accept an assignment on my Warthog throttle. A minor niggle in that practically everything else can be operated via hardware switches etc, I have to change to the mouse or VR controller. Is that a bug? :) EDIT: It is NOT the Ignition control switch, it's just the plain ol' ignition switch which is further down the list than I looked. :music_whistling:
  16. In Yaks. In VR.
  17. You're right. If you suffer a mid-air collision you get the bad results but don't see any damage. It'll come I guess.
  18. So that would be a 'problem' then? :smilewink:
  19. ..Never a nice thing to do, but when the wreckage turns into a Bf 109 it's rubbing the salt into the wound.
  20. Four of us have been close formation flying and not a murmur of discontent from any of us. Apart from when talent goes AWOL every so often! :music_whistling:
  21. Good grief! Humour on a flight sim forum! What's the world coming to?
  22. No flaps. Probably me being ham fisted.
  23. Maybe they don't realise what a gem this could be with a little more love. We are using it as a basic formation/aerobatic trainer and it a huge amount of fun! We first thought that reducing the fuel level would be beneficial but now I doubt very much whether it makes any difference! We are getting used to it little foibles (leaping off the runway?) EDIT: Great screenshots!
  24. What is nice is that it wasn't something I didn't do. Thanks for taking the trouble.
  25. Thanks for replying Deano. Both 'Enforce' and 'Value' are checked in the Mission Options page. It also shows in the server list as Unlimited Fuel but it still runs out. I think you may be right, it's either a bug or not catered for in the model. I haven't flown in single player long enough to find out if it works. Hey ho, we'll live.:smilewink:
