  1. RIP Jim.
  2. Midnight, here might not be the best place for sharing and discussing aerobatic videos. Feel free to take a look at our Virtual Airshows community. Website: http://www.virtual-airshows.com/ Forum: http://forum.virtual-airshows.com/ Another new website got online some time ago, which is for beginners and amaetuers. 3. Nice video. Though, I just notice, that you wrote "Flamming Cliffs 2 2005". Flaming Cliffs (1) was released in 2005 and Flaming Cliffs 2 in 2010.
  4. Due to wheater conditions, the JASDF Blue Impulse went ahead of shedule and arrived at Matsushima at 1pm, Japan time, today.
  5. The KC-767 returns to Matsushima. Officials have confirmed, that the "Return of Blue"(Blue Impulse JASDF Air Demo Team returning to their Homebase in Matsushima) will be on this Sunday, 31th March.
  6. Here is something, I noticed some time ago. Not sure, if this is the right place to post it, but maybe someone has a better idea, if this is actually a bug, or a feature. If it's a feature, then it's something, that should be erased, cause it's a big handicap. I tested this with the Su-27 and Mig-29S on the 1.2.3. version of DCS. On the take off, on the exact moment, when you just lift of from the ground, the pull/push is locked. More specific: The aircraft follows only a certain amount of pull but then stays and locks it. If you then try to pull the stick fully back, the aircrafts will not follow this input and just keeps flying the relativly smaller amount of pull. You can see your stick in the cockpit going all the way to your belly, but the aircraft is doing nothing. After about 3 - 4 seconds, it is then possible to regain fully control of the pull and push. This may be not noticable on formation take offs or combat operations, but I noticed this, flying some practice rounds of my solo aerobatic display. Try it yourself and share your thoughts. I'm very curious, what is going on there. If you, for some reason, can not reproduce this situation, I can then also record a track.
  7. No new news, but a video, that sums it up. http://www.voanews.com/media/video/1618234.html
  8. Rock from the Virtual Horsemen and Sawamura from the VAT "Berkuts" - The tiny and the mighty.
  9. New photos of the Matsushima Airbase. These were taken on the 31th January. The construction to lift the ramp and the hangar 3 meters on a good way.
  10. To celebrate the 5th Anniversary of the VAT "Berkuts", the 10th Anniversary of the Patrouille Suisse Virtuelle and the 15th Anniversary of the Virtual Brazilian Smoke Squadron, we took off to form up one formation to make a remarkable memory of 5, 10 and 15 years of virtual airshow flying.

  11. Insane work, Slam! Crazy.
  12. Nothing big, but something. Japan: In this year's airshow season, the JASDF Blue Impulse will return to their homebase in Matsushima. This airbase was devastated by the tsunami, that hit Japan after the 9.0 magnitude earthquake at the 11th March of 2011. Source(Japanese): http://www.mod.go.jp/j/press/kisha/2013/01/22a.html

  15. Going again on the boundary of feasible with my favourite demo jet. Virtual Festival of Aerobatic teams - 7th/8th/9th December. Watch on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxT3VuqXrNE http://www.virtual-airshows.com/
  16. Just out of curiosity, these reflections on the aircraft, does this eat some fps? The VAT "Berkuts" are flying a 9-ship in average. I wonder, if we are going to face some FPS drops, or not. Have been any performance tests made with and without these nice reflections? :)
