The Stingers were able to launch from cats 1 & 2 no problem on our dedicated. The U key cat hook up had occasional problems and it seemed talking to the ATC to request launch may be tied to it somehow. The Stingers “never go full rollback”. We’re sticking with 2.5.6 :D

Hi Slag, please be more friendly as Feiercrack is correct, installation instructions are in first post. If you choose not to use OVGME then you would be best to ask nicely for help. You’d be surprised at how easily you can get things working when you post here in a kind way.

Hi Vampire! That one had some bad language in it and also we’ve decided to be only physically on display for the combat movies as they are our focus now. Lots of other channels do reviews, interviews and tutorials much better than I could, I’m gonna stick to corny war movies :). Still deciding whether or not to continue PLAT cam videos or to leave it at 100. An ex-Stinger by the name of Hook is making them in his F-14 squadron though and I’m a huge fan already. Thanks MegOhm I have seen that chart but it doesn’t cover the signals during catapult hook up and launch. Looking at the videos you see signals for wing unfold (often during catapult alignment taxi), nose bar lower, taking tension when the holdback is fitted, an engine throttle up signal from the shooter followed by a raised hand when the pilot salutes. It’s all very choreographed and I’m slowly piecing it together. If no video exists I might have to make one :)

That’s cool we only use licensed music in our films to avoid YouTube copyright claims. I was just curious as the information I was given was that Heatblur had released this album as royalty free music that could be used freely on any project. Just wanted to check if this was the case officially.

Awesome music thank you. Just to clarify, a friend mentioned that he thought this music was ‘royalty-free’ (unlicensed). Is this correct? For example if someone put it in their own monetised YouTube video there would be no copyright claim on the music from the artist?

^^ I never think that, I’m always surprised at what controversy is invented for people to feel upset about. My thoughts on the update are: Holy cow! We now have the F-16 and F/A-18 in DCS and both are the subject of continual improvement. I spent last night dogfighting Hornet, Viper and Tomcat over Iran with the Stingers and it was an absolute blast. I really hope EDs staff feel appreciated and motivated to enjoy their awesome work each day because DCS is truly a gift.

Yes. Thrustmaster Warthog is solid reliable HOTAS. Mine is from March 2011 (over 8 years old) and still works perfectly. I use it a lot and if it died tomorrow would buy a new one instantly.

I aim to roll out on centreline at exactly 0.6nm which is 15-18 seconds in the groove. The VFA-113 LSO mission triggers the “3/4 mile” voice at this point. For glideslope my workflow is: At the 180 - 600 feet At the 90 - 450ish feet At the 45 - put the FPM circle on top of the ILS horizontal line Rollout on centerline- 300ish feet The ball is easily visible in VR from here on in so I use that for glideslope. It may be tough for some to see but if you can see it at the start and it’s not red you’re doing OK!
