[Official] SimShaker for Aviators
SOBSimulations replied to f4l0's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Appreciate your work on this! Can confirm with tonight's update that Hawk ground roll bumps are gone and also found a weird bug with the A-10C APU rumble. It rumbles really loud through sound module (buttkicker) even if APU is not on. While flying I had to turn it down to 10 otherwise if was rattling my teeth out! -
I noticed this recently with the G model (and I assume the k model). Not sure what’s changed but now I try and use the D model exclusively. Maybe someone else can chime in if they notice what changed?

VAICOM 2.0 for VoiceAttack
SOBSimulations replied to Hollywood_315's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I'm getting the dreaded, "8:23:07 PM - Unable to get value from URI - Could not find file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\VoiceAttack\Apps\VAICOM\Tools\TEMP\mission.lua'." error when I attempt to start Voice Attack/Vaicom 2. I previously had this working. Can anyone please assist? BTW post 666 is not helpful as previously referenced by someone else earlier in this thread. I'm running as administrator. thanks for the help! -
Normandy Insant CAS A10 is so much better now
SOBSimulations replied to hansangb's topic in Virtual Reality
This was working for me in the past, but I tried tonight after seeing this thread and I can't get the JTAC to talk to me. I've been pulling my hair out. Ran repair, deleted saved games folder and NADA. I've played this in the past and had good comms, so not sure what's happening. Confirmed on VHF 30.0 and have tried multiple times but can't get him to talk to me! Anyone have any ideas? -
performance wise I'd say today's update makes it worse! But then again I uninstalled 1.5 because it's just too ugly now. I don't think I can see any improvements to visuals in VR with today's update either. Just more stuttering than normal and outright system pauses while stuff loads.

Thanks for the great campaign. I had to dig my old kneeboard out to make it through this campaign. Lots of 9 lines kept it interesting. Just wanted to say I enjoyed it, and I appreciate the work that went into making it! Played the whole thing in the rift using one eye through the peephole to feverishly wright down UTM coords! cheers!

I've ordered a buttkicker to supplement my jetseat. Obviously I'll need to buy the sound expansion module in Simshaker and I've purchased a secondary sound card for the shaker. I play exclusively in VR which means my main audio is routed via HDMI to the rift. I plan to output mono bass audio to the buttkicker amp, and not use any external speakers. If I go with this setup will I still be required to use voicemeter banana or by removing PC speakers from the equation can I avoid that step? thanks!

Any word if this gamma slider is included in the patch coming out today/this weekend?

Wear a skull cap under Oculus to prevent the line down the middle.

I always fly with pistol nearby... Never know when you might get shot down.. LOL! I'll have to check out the button box. I guess I would like folks feedback on these. For me, in VR I just enjoy reaching around in the cockpit for the actual switches. How does using one of these help, or lead to more immersion? Just looking for thoughts/philosophies on their use.

More immersive labels (no text) for NTTR

work great! thanks for posting. -
Yeah that was some of the best flying I've seen yet...right up to the point where you flew right into me and we both died...

Flying to Batumi to do the crazy night Mission in IMC and no NVGs and sure as life the guy trying to rejoin IMC near the airfield hits me and kills me mid-air just like would happen if you were stupid enough to do this in real life. Sigh. Sometimes this campaign is good and sometimes it is so bad....

Consistent stutters, second mission
SOBSimulations replied to mmtaraval's topic in Problems and Bugs
Suffer from the same two second stutter almost every mission in this campaign. Fairly consistent feels like CPUs is polling for something else causing the issue. -
Unable to get clearance to taxi engine start or take off from Nellis tower.. Unable to communicate with wingman (yes I'm on correct freq) Try to fly all the way to Target area anyways and I'm unable to communicate with JTAC (and yes I'm on the right freq). Rebooted and reloaded the mission and same issue. Reading through the threads here it appears this issue has occurred on other missions in this campaign. Any ideas?

Oculus Debug Tool: Pixels Per Display Pixel Override

Jabbers, I have to agree.... don't want to start a flame war here but I couldn't tell a bit of difference. -
Terrible VR stuttering in 1.5 with 1080 Ti and Oculus Rift
SOBSimulations replied to Boris's topic in Virtual Reality
VampireNZ: I get the symptoms you are describing in 2.0 NTTR red flag in the A-10. I can sit on the ramp at Nellis with 90 fps and watch it dip to 68 fps every three seconds. If I try moving my head during those 3 second dips I get the stutters. Unfortunately it's inevitable that I move my head every three seconds during normal scan. If I freeze my head position while taxiing and stare at the lines in the concrete I can see that studder every 3 seconds. It's almost like CPU is polling every 3 seconds and that causes the studder. I'm 4.5 GHz i7 1080ti and 64 gig mem... -
+1 on collective! that would be awesome!

Terrible VR stuttering in 1.5 with 1080 Ti and Oculus Rift
SOBSimulations replied to Boris's topic in Virtual Reality
Have to agree. 1080ti Flawless in other games. Just picked up the red flag for the warthog in the Nellis training range and have terrible micro stutters to the point where I wont fly it anymore until resolved. Tried removing and reinstalling drivers and re-run Oculus setup. Appeared to fix it at first but then reverted back to stuttering. 1.5 Seems fine. -
I noticed it bad in Nevada (as in it hasn't been "fixed"), but also even in 1.5 the "fix" doesn't feel complete - as in it's still unstable when rolling in on targets and rolling out of turns. It feels like even with the fix in 1.5 that somethings missing with the yaw dampening. May just be my imagination. Anyone else feel this way?

I guess this is actually mission 8 IMC flight to carrier with cargo and only FM for homing - no precision approach. Yeah.. that'd be suicide mission in real world.....
