Just found something interesting I guess. I have the selected option "import theatre" And here's what I had when trying to learn some word recognition If I hit "alias" button it corresponds to Kuznetzov. Might be the cause of the troubles isn't it?
-
Thanks for the tips, I reset everything as you recommended and import fresh profile again. Same result for me: I say Radio Tune 2 5 1 decimal zero I get: 1:00:45.387 Recognized : 'radio tune 2 5 1 decimal 7 0' I say Radio Tune 2 5 1 decimal I get 1:01:01.823 Recognized : 'radio tune 2 5 1 decimal 0' If I say Tacan Tune Xray Seven Zero I get: 1:03:20.886 Recognized : 'tacan tune x-ray 0 7 7' If I say Tacn Tune Xray Seven I get: 1:03:36.823 Recognized : 'tacan tune x-ray 0 7 0' And I just realized it works if I in fact replace zero by saying 'oh'. Can it be because of selected speech recognition engine? I use UK one ? By the way: is it planned to include the names of new supercarrier carriers in the Link Host commands?

Agreed just decimal works. Strange workaround though. Maybe something changes internally in voice attack ? Was that function working correctly before?
-
Would be perfect to just have the Jester wheel in parallel..... It's a pleasure to just say Drop tanks and he drops them, but in the meantime it's impossible to use radio :(
-
"1:01:36.793 Recognized : 'radio tune 2 5 1 decimal 6 0'" I said decimal zero zero :(
-
I have also lot of troubles with radio frequencies. And as RIO disables the normal Jester wheel, it gets unsuable :( My precise issue is I can't dicate "zero" when asking the frequency. For example if I ask Radio change 2 5 1 point 0 (I changed the command to "change" and "point") It will recognize 2 5 1 . 7 0 The zero always is misunderstood for whatever reason. If I say just two five one point zero out of the blue this is perfectly recognized by the engine ("Unrecognized '251.0'). It's just not working when using the jester command. Any advice?

Well that part of the seat can be removed so that could be part of the solution indeed ...
-
I'm a bit afraid that I can't make the bent 200mm extension perfectly match my seat while getting the stick low enough not to interfere with my wheel motor on the top. Played a bit with 1:1 scaled wood sticks to see what it would be like but still hard to figure out what it will really do with real grip. If nothing works I'll have a side stick mount and brand new extension to sell :music_whistling:

Ok I agree that TMS click feel would be a plus. For me the analogue hat could be a plus in few cases but that's the twist analogue input I was considering the most, for exemple to have differential brakes as I don't have toe brakes on my pedals. Guess I'll have to think twice before choosing :p For my setup I still don't have any aidea how to do it well. I'm afraid that the 200mm extension would make the stick too much far from the seat when fully pushed..... Hard to tell without testing various configurations....

But what makes it for space sims apart from just the name and led light? I mean it has more possibilities so what would make it less apropriate for planes? I hear the argument of the flip trigger though, need to see what's the difference!
-
Yeah I saw Alpha is a bit shorter, but could be a pro as I have a wheel motor up there that could interfere if too high. Out of curiosity why tallest more realistic, as you just could have the base a bit higher to compensate the couple cm difference?
-
Hi guys, I was sure I just needed the T50 grip, but had a quick look on the Alpha, and it just looks like it has a bit more possibilities. I'm not concerned by the "realistic" look at all as long as I can match bindings as close as the real plane as possible. Only thing I'm wondering is if the analogue stick can easily be changed to a classical digital hat using the virpil software? What would be your choice between those two grips? Thanks!

Hi! Might be a stupid question but I don’t see a dedicated thread about this. I expected to be assigned a stack altitude for case 1 but I’m just always Signal is Charlie without any holding angel instruction when checking in with approach. This was working well using Airboss system, but I thought it would be now integrated with super carrier. Is this still work in progress? Or am I missing something? Thanks!
-
Is it possible to ask jester to tune tacan, radio, host link to a supercarrier name? Or still not updated? Thanks

You guys have no problems with menus? Do you bind them in the controls with same as ptt voice attack buttons ?
-
Hey guys, just got it and it’s indeed pretty hard to configure and I’m not even talking about managing to get windows going for the correct language and so on... I guess there’s some learning curve here! My main concern is with com menus and Jester wheel. I’d like to have genuine dcs menus still useable but it’s a mess with them appearing disappearing or not.... I had them randomly disappearing at first but seems I solved it by deassigning TX joystick buttons I didn’t use. It’s still not consistent and I have to toggle multiple times the com menu key to get things working somehow. Any possibility to get those com menus behave nicely? Maybe it’s jut a matter of not trying to use same ptt buttons and having them on keyboard? Other question: I was really disappointed to see in the manual that Jester menu is disabled when using RIO extension. Isn’t it possible to get it back?? I mean for some commands it’s way more convinient to select it in the menu with track IR instead of trying to be understood by the recognition. Thanks for your help!

Rope physics is not the hardest cpu hit you can have on earth. It is actually amonst the simplest stuff you can implement when coding a physic engine (I did it when I was young and strong :) ), and not that CPU demanding. That said multiplayer wise, the headache begins :) Wanna see a deck crew beheaded? https://www.falstad.com/loadedstring/ :p

You were correct, laser was in training mode! Now it works fine thanks for the help guys! I have a second issue with laser even if not maverick related: In a buddy lased GBU mission, I acquire the laser through LSS, but it never switched to TV automatically, thus not giving auto release cues on HUD and could'nt release bomb. Usually it just switches in TV and designate automatically, sometimes it stays in LSS screen after acquiring laser spot and can't release bomb. Am I again stupid? :p
-
I think but need to double check, that's a good suggestion!
-
With your own laser? Because with Jtac lasse targets I have no problem at all. Only when I try to do it with my own listening pod and still dunno why.
-
Hi guys, I feel really stupid but I am unable to lock my laser guided maverick on my own pod laser.... I use litening pod, have laser armed and fire selected. Code is 1688. Maverick is uncaged, code 1688. Never locks on anything.... What the hell am I missing here? Never had any problem using buddy lasing for those Mavericks but can't with my own :( Thanks!

Nope. Ask Jester :music_whistling:

Did some tests yesterday on target lased by JTAC. Wasn't sure it is possible to toss. Designation in computer release mode as far as possible (when designation cursor in hud just stops flashing), then massive toss with burner and big pull. Can achieve some good stand off distance it works well :)
-
Hey guys, just did taht mission and indeed impossible to slew the cursor in HUD (INS) designation. So is it just a missing feature?

Takes bit of time to get into the head of a thrustmaster developper :) Finally got what I want: gearup/gear down, first led control with the gear, long press for emergency extend, and still working original DX button on virtual controller. NICE :)
