  1. Time for a little update! Much our Hornet work has been focused on an overhaul of the Hornet radar. As you might imagine, this has been a huge task, but it will be worth it for the Hornet and other aircraft. As of today, it's near impossible to shake a lock with just ownship maneuvers. Now we just need to have the radar RTS after lock loss and MEM mode times out. We've also started initial tests of the JHMCS in the simulation. The attached image is an image of the HMD at a VERY incomplete state. We are now adding more and more of its symboloy and functions. MK-82YT Ballute and CBU-100 have been added internally. Speaking of CBU, the destructive power of anti-armor sub-munitions have been significantly increased, as well as the coverage footprint. The Flashing X on the radar has been when a person skips turning on the radar during a cold start has been fixed. Target lock in MPRF against short range, high-aspect targets has been corrected. AIM-7 HOJ is active development. New interactive training missions for CASE I recovery, AIM-9, and AIM-120 are now being created. Locked target HUD symbology jumping around has been addressed. TCN symboloy on HSI when viewed from a duplicate display has been fixed. Other items in the near-term cue: - HARM - LGBs - FPAS page - Automatic range scale adjustment - A/A Waypoint, BRA, and Bullseye functions - LTWS ATFLIR is also a high priority, but we first need to complete a an all new and improved FLIR rendering system. Thanks!
  2. Paving stones II only laser models do not hit the target very well. Now DCs can not reflect. The EGBU series is an improved version of Raytheon, which incorporates GPS / INS to ensure that it flies roughly toward the target without laser irradiation. Instead of upgrading the paving stones, II has a very short range of LOFT at low altitude. In 2005, Lockheed received orders to upgrade the Navy's GBU-12. The model after that is GBU-49. The US Air Force began using EGBU-12 as early as 2001, because GBU-12's hit accuracy is low. I hope ED can upgrade paving stone II. This is a wish list.
  3. MK-82 ARI didn't appear in the list, but it finally add to game.
  4. The GBU-12 in the game has existed for a long time, and in reality, the variant of GBU-12 has appeared in EGBU-12. The RAZBAM has added GBU-54 to AV-8B. Will ED bring any surprises to F-18C?
  5. LTWS is equivalent to SAM mode and tracks multiple targets simultaneously under RWS. If AIM-7 BLK II appears, then it is possible to shoot multiple targets at the same time.
  6. F-18C has no missile approaching warning system.ALR-67 can only detect the launch of radar guided missiles, which is powerless for IR guided missiles. But F-18E is equipped with AAR-57, so that it can detect the approaching of missiles.
  7. No, the missile just fired, and the CW light on my F-18C lights up. The radar shows that the F-15C is still 10 nautical miles away. The introduction to the CW lamp in the manual is for continuous wave radar.
  8. You are talking about pulse doppler illumination, which uses Doppler shift to determine the target and solve the target information from the echo. In the airborne pulse Doppler radar system, there is no separate continuous wave transmitter, and the PD radar in HPRF is used instead of continuous wave for illumination. In order to distinguish between the two illumination systems, some people divide them into classic continuous waves (duty cycle is 100%) and discontinuous continuous waves (HPRF duty cycles are 30%-50%). Therefore, it is necessary to improve the original continuous wave missile to adapt to the new lighting system. The monopulse seeker you mentioned is not a beam describing the illumination, but a seeker technology that represents the new antenna technology. The ICW you mentioned should be semi-active with intermittent illumination. The specific example is the end illumination of SM2 (which uses mid-range command guidance + semi-active end).
  9. When AI F-15C launches AIM-120, the CW of my F-18C will light up. The CW light indicates that I was irradiated by CW radar, but during the AIM-120 launch, the F-15C did not have CW or intermittent CW exposure. Is this CW lamp response right?
  10. This is the use of high PRF target irradiation, in some Chinese papers called "interrupted CW", it is different from the classical continuous wave (completely using continuous wave).
  11. AIM-7F(CW and interrupted CW),AIM-7M/MH(only interrupted CW).
  12. Maybe, I want to talk about the RWR alarm after AIM-7M launch. Whether the AIM-7M alarm of ICW should be different from that of CW missile.
  13. Starting with the AIM-7F, the missile's post-launch irradiation can be accomplished by the airborne pulse Doppler radar antenna, eliminating a separate CW irradiator (a interrupted cw guidance scheme). Can CW warning lights be used in CW or interrupted cw ?
  14. This is really due to the problems caused by the Link16 common antenna. Thank you for your reply. Are you a member of the production team? :)
  15. Excuse me, Wags, will the future F-18C join the radar VS mode?
  16. The TACAN settings are very different from those described in A1-F18AC-NFM-000-2008. According to the VII-24-55 in the manual,"Because the upper antenna filter is fixed, it filters A/A TACAN frequencies on channels 1-36 and 64-99 (X and Y). A/A TACAN channels should be chosen outside of these ranges",The signals received by the upper and lower antennas should be distinguished, but the game didn't do it,for example,The game can receive the fuller signal at the top of the A/A TACAN 1X state. According to the VII-24-55 in the manual,“For TACAN channels in these ranges, the bottom antenna is the only antenna for TACAN. With a centerline tank installed, the antenna is blocked approximately 180°± 15° relative to the aircraft nose. This shadowing of the bottom antenna, combined with the lower transmitter power of the MIDS (200W versus 1000W for AN/ARN-118), causes reduced ranges for DME at channels within the range of the filter when flying directly away from the TACAN station.Flight test data at afloat stations shows that maximum tail-aspect DME ranges of approximately 22 nm at 6,000 feet and 26 nm at 15,000 feet can be expected to make DME unreliable when headed outbound in the marshal stack. At shore stations, flight tests have shown substantially better tail-aspect DME ranges (e.g. 52 nm at 15,000 feet)”,The game should have an impact on the rear DME ranging of the mounted centerline tank, but it still does not appear in the game
  17. The CBU-105 can not wind-bias the BLU-018, the game only modifies the CBU-105, and the BLU-108 is blown away from the target. Specific explanation, see https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?mode=hybrid&t=144282
  18. When using the test switch on the PU-26E panel, the RMI rotates to 0 or 300 degrees and the compass mode switch is in the GC. The RNI will not return to the position it was in before the test. This situation does not match the manual.(“The test switch verifies the correct operation of the GMK system in the MC mode. The test can be executed after terminating the GMK starting process, which lasts 3 minutes in MC mode or 5 minutes in GC mode. When the· test switch "CHECK" is moved to 0 (zero) position, the RMI compass card shall rotate to position zero degrees, when in 300 degrees position the compass card shall indicate 300° heading. The allowable indication tolerance is ± 10 degrees. The compass card repositioning shall be accompanied by illumination of the gyro drift indicator on both the GMK control box and front control panel. When the test switch is released to its center neutral position, the HSI compass card shall rotate back and indicate actual heading.”)
  19. The CBU-105 can not wind-bias the BLU-018, the game only modifies the CBU-105, and the BLU-108 is blown away from the target. This can not be called WCMD.
