  1. Hornet is only 478MB - FYI.
  2. update available **EDIT** looks like 2.3Gb
  3. If he is going to call me son, then he is a snowflake. I give the same level of respect that I receive.
  4. I am calm snowflake. The documented procedure using the @openbeta was to switch between stable and open beta and not update open beta. If you had success, then you wouldn't have reverted your install - no? You are aware that when it checks every day it does not add @openbeta on to it - no? Why don't you simply acknowledge that you tried to get ahead by forcing the updater to update to a version that did not exist thus it is your fault.
  5. Wrong again.... This is what you did: As has been said by Bignewy that you did not want to add the @openbeta on to it - PERIOD. YOU tried to force the updater to update to a version that did not exist, that is YOUR FAULT.
  6. You are misinformed. As has been said MANY TIMES, running the dcs updater is not the problem and is fine. It is when you are forcing it to open beta or changing file details to force an update to a version that doesn’t exist. Try to keep up.
  7. I agree, I use the CLI as well and it always picks up the update when it is available.
  8. No. He's referring to people who are updating to @openbeta or changing file details to try and force an update. You're wrong, it has been posted many times your post is useless and uninformed. This is only an issue due to user error, so if you borked your install then you only have yourself to blame.
  9. It's not really.... Lots of posts exist telling people they need the update before installing the Hornet. Lots of posts exists saying that you need to wait for the release of the update. The "manually force" that people were referring to are people trying to change file details to force an update to a version that doesn't exist yet. Running the dcs updater.exe is not going to cause any problems and will pick up the update when it is ready.
  10. No... The changelog was posted prior to the module being available in the module manager and it specifically stated what version was needed. You are wrong for coming on the forums and posting that there is an issue when the solution was posted no less than FIFTY times before you posted. All you had to do was read the forum and you would have known what was going on. This is no different than when the PG landed and people were trying to install PG in the wrong version of the Open Beta and complained on the forums without reading... If there is any confusion, it is only on you.
  11. No, you are wrong. You are trying to install the Hornet in the previous version of the Open Beta. We are all awaiting the Open Beta update to install the Hornet.
  12. It's not a bug; it IS user error.
  13. There's no update bug. This is user error that didn't read the release notes or the fifty other posts that indicate you need to wait for the DCS update before trying to install the Hornet module.
  14. For the DCS F-18C module you need: DCS 2.5.2.17978 Update 1
  15. You still need the Open Beta update to install and run the F-18C module guys....
  16. They have only posted the changelog so far - you know how numerous community members used to complain about getting an update before the changelog; this is the outcome of a vocal minority.
  17. Reads like if you set a TOT for a waypoint it will cause DCS to crash.
  18. No.... ALT+F4 is funny because it wouldn't cause any issues nor a complete reinstall of everything... Formatting the main drive is not "funny."
  19. You mean the one smashed into the back of the Stennis? Oh well you will have to buy it again it seems... :megalol:
  20. You can use the dcs updater exe or you can open a command line window to you 'bin' folder in your dcs install: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin and type: dcs_updater.exe update
  21. You will want to type "dcs_updater.exe update"
  22. Remember DCS only tries to update once every 24 hours if you simply start the game. You will want to use the CLI to have it check manually.
  23. You need Open Beta and it’s a good time to ask as you have time to get it before the Hornet drops.
  24. That's what mine looks like as well.
