  1. Here's a comparison shot I found, someone else posted, so that you can see the difference in the image quality and SDE.
  2. Not sure what is going on with your install, it was fixed about two weeks ago. If I were you I'd double-check your install version and run a repair. Latest version of Open Beta does not have this issue.
  3. You must be part of some drama club... Simply set your radar to HI instead of MED and you won't have the issue. After your tantrum is over, give it a try.
  4. Today's IRL F-15C does have 9X capabilities and often carries them. The version that is modeled in DCS is a much older variant and it does not have support for 9X. That is not to say ED can't add it, simply that it isn't there ATM. With that said, I do not believe ED will add it to the FC3 version of the F-15C. I'm pretty sure Wags already stated that it wouldn't either.
  5. Simple, don't use Medium PRF. Like I said workarounds or avoidance...
  6. They were releasing new features just about every other week. That is not a "few." It won't take 2-3 years to finish the Hornet either. I do believe that we will see, maybe, a new feature each month.
  7. Nope. Major game bugs get "hot fixes." These are not considered major bugs as there are workarounds and the ability to avoid them.
  8. Without knowing all of the circumstances of what you experienced, make sure this is true: 1) Waypoint is first boxed 2) Master Arm On 3) A/G Mode 4) WP Designate
  9. Full INS alignment process is not implemented yet. You can go from STBY/OFF directly to NAV mode. I encourage you to follow alignment procedures so that you are "ready" when that code gets implemented.
  10. Topping Off Topping off for a deep strike...
  11. A livestream that will reveal....
  12. Being able to notice the difference in load times is hard. NVME can exceed 2Gb/s read and write; where as non-nvme will cap out at SATA III limits of around 550Mb/s. That is only under certain conditions. "Normal" usage (random drive access) will be around 700MB/s for NVME.
  13. No apologies are necessary; in fairness I thought I had read more of the KA-6Ds came from E's than actually happened.
  14. You think? The A-6E first hit service in 1970. In 1970 the Navy started transitioning from the KA-3B and EA-3B to the KA-6D. There were numerous A-6Es converted or repurposed for the role of the KA-6D. I know fully well what the press release said. My point, however, was for a flyable KA-6D even if it is based on the A-6E and not fully modeled as a KA-6D.
  15. At this point I would hold off on any VR headset. I believe that the next generation version of the hardware is just around the corner. Don't get me wrong, I love my CV1 and the experience that it offers. If you feel like you can't wait for the next gen, which may be months away, go ahead and get the Rift. So far it has the best experience for DCS. The Odyssey has the best image at this time and someone who owns that can provide more details on that headset.
  16. Here's hoping they allow us to turn the A-6E into the KA-6D even if only rudimentary. After all, most, KA-6Ds where re-purposed A-6E. Caveat: Yes there are stark differences between the two, that doesn't change my desire for them to make it possible.
  17. HARM is a specific weapon system used in the suppression and destruction of enemy radars. Air to Surface Radar is the radar mode that allows the aircraft to "scan" ground and water-based targets.
  18. There was no promise that JHMCS was coming by end of Aug, only that they were trying to get it out. Statements like yours lead ED to quit giving us estimates and prioritized efforts. Also, if you look the poll closes at the end of November. You shouldn't take the poll as any indication of development stage of any features.

  20. Yes, albeit very limited.
  21. That is because we weren't going to get the full decoy resistance until next week's patch when we get the full 90 degree HOBS.
  22. Great news, thanks for the update.
  23. Yes, I have hit max range at 45NM and launched at 35NM when SHOOT was flashing. My altitude was 33k ft and speed was around 450 knots. Target was head on and closure was around 600 knots.
  24. Block II is the version that can engage ground targets - FYI.
