  1. You can also designate it on the ground; it's pretty simple. Go to your HSI, then click on "DATA" - typically found on the upper-right OSB button. Next click on "WPSEQUFC" (Waypoint Sequence UFC) found on the left side of the DDI/AMPCD at the bottom. Next, look up to your UFC and click on the radial button beside TGT. Now enter the number referencing the waypoint number you want to designate as the target and press enter. A box will now appear around that waypoint and it will be set as a TGT.
  2. Couple of things to aide in the radar usage.... Click on the horizontal azimuth OSB and set it to 60 degrees. Click on the OSB and set the scan rate to 4 bars. Next you want to click on the OSB for DATA and then in the top right change the number to 16 or 32. That is how long the memory will keep a target in the "system" before dropping it. This is how I fly most flights and I generally don't have any issues picking up aircraft and staying locked. I will change the vertical and horizontal scan rate depending on what I am looking for and if I know a close approximation as to where a target is. For instance if I am looking for an SU-27 flying low, and I got a recent BRA call, I will set the scan rate to 20 degrees with 1-2 bar vertical scan. Since this is a more modeled radar system you have to get into the habit of operating the radar itself. You now also know why so many aircraft have dedicated radar operators in the back seat....
  3. Still being made and still available.
  4. There is a button on the Hornet HOTAS for that function, look in the control list under HOTAS and assign the button. From there you simply depress the button at the desired speed and, with little variation, will maintain the desired speed.
  5. For most aircraft there is a simple IFF in place. ED is working on IFF for the Hornet, we don't know what they have in store - i.e. either simple implementation or more realistic.
  6. IFF is being worked on, until it is ready you will need to ID your targets.
  7. It is DLC. Do you have DCS World Open Beta installed? Are you logged into your Eagle Dynamics account that you purchased the F-18C under? If you have answered yes to all of the above, then launch DCS Open Beta and go to module manager and you will have the option to download the Hornet.
  8. We have to wait and see what ED has in store for us.
  9. Typically slewing the TDC via an axis is smoother than using buttons.
  10. You would have to set an option in the ME for them to refuel at a specific waypoint. That is the only way that I have seen the refuel, or maybe via a script.
  11. This is accurate. The Hornet has a slower spool up when it comes to the RPMs of the engine. Don't take this as an insult or jab: You need to learn to get ahead of your aircraft and plan for these limitations.
  12. They will get added as the systems are modeled and made available.
  13. Yes, this is a WIP model and you'll need to use a different AC for AAR at this time.
  14. I, personally, use the CMS switch on the Warthog HOTAS for Weapon Select. That more closely matches the Hornet stick IRL.
  15. Simply look: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3285514&postcount=13
  16. This is money! Great suggestion and hopefully ED can implement it fairly easily.
  17. You need to let your NAV Align.
  18. You need to use the scrollwheel first then left click to rotate.
  19. Hold the paddle switch for 5 secs, it will go away.
  20. I was excited to see it being the Block 50... Heck Yeah!
  21. I like that.
  22. You probably need to switch them for now.
  23. You want to have your throttles in the idle position, click on the IDLE/DETENT keybind for the throttle and then move the respective throttle to the detent position. Works just fine for me.
