  1. I made a track file In that track, initially i wanted to achieve a constant speed of 350 knots at 25,000 feet i then made some throttle adjustments and was able to maintain 350. Just watch how the FPM ALWAYS goes UP even though i haven't adjusted anything, not the stick, not the trim... and the VSI just confirms it too.. creeping up to positive climb rates. On the latter parts, I remember trimming down and adjusting the airspeed to compensate for the pitch up.. That's not the case for this F-15. As you see i was already in Burners, increasing airspeed while the plane still continues to pitch down further~ The Trim doesn't seem to do anything because it will just cause the plane to pitch up or pitch down.. it never levels the plane. On the last part i was descending with the speed brake deployed. It's clear on the HUD that even though i'm decelerating, the F-15 still continues to pitch up which i find odd.. Shouldn't the FPM go down instead? At any rate if.. this is really a established problem in the F-15 in-game, Hope this will get fix in that 1.13 patch (if it even sees the light of day) because this is starting to be a nuisance. I don't experience this kind of problem with other planes in Lock On nor in any other Sim that i currently play.. I doubt my joystick has a problem.
  2. Ok, i just want to know something.. Any users here of Saitek Cyborg Evo or St290? I just wanted to verify if the F-15 can't stay put or level off when you use the said joysticks.. I think it just doesn't make sense this pitch up action only happens in the F-15 and no aircraft else.. and that even though i already had deadzones set in game doesn't eliminate this.. though, I think i remember a post about an F-15 wishlist wherein the trimming also had problems. Maybe this is the problem that was pointed out in that list..
  3. so does it mean the f-15 will always pitch up & down from a given altitude? The problem i encounter when trimming the f-15 is that, the aircraft can only either go up or down.. no level flight when i trim.. regardless of the speed, pitch corrections or throttle settings..
  4. No, I actually engaged the auto pilot initially so that the aircraft would be set for a level flight. Then I disengaged the autopilot so that the Horizontal stabilizers would be trimmed for a level flight.. Even after disengaging the autopilot, the aircraft continued pitching up little by little whereas it should either maintain level flight, climb or descend depending on the throttle changes... or at least that's what i think. btw.. What i mean by "pitching up" is that the Flight Path Marker/Tadpole on the HUD of the F-15 WILL continue to GO UP slowly as if there was an increase in engine power even though i haven't change the throttle settings. Not an abrupt pitch up like the ones in Take off or Air combat..
  5. I tried testing the keyboard. The inputs might be more unrefined but i tried the diving down with the speed brake deployed.. The plane still pitches up even though it's decelerating. Maybe there's something in aerodynamics i don't know but isn't the plane supposed to maintain constant nose while the descent rate increases? Even though i'm slowing down the FPM continues to go up.. Then i tried the constant speed & Altitude test.. i've set the throttle for a constant 350 knots indicated at 25,000 feet. First i engaged altitude hold to set the horizontal stabs for a constant altitude. After disengaging the Auto Pilot, the f-15 started pitching up little by little even though i didn't touched the keyboard.. i wasn't accelerating either... Accelerated the time compression, the f-15 continued climbing up until it was too high and too slow, hence stalled off the sky.. If i read correctly the F-15's supposed to have that Pitch trim Compensator/Control Augmentation System. A system supposed to keep the plane level as much as possible, not pitching up.
  6. No failures set whatsoever.. no damage..
  7. This has been bugging me for some time now. The F-15 in Lock On will always want to pitch up, no matter what the throttle settings are and even with speedbrake deployed and decelerating.. Unless i use the auto pilot, the plane's bound to go higher & higher~ This constant pitching up gets annoying at times.. Anyways enough rant~ all i want to know if this is another known Eagle Disease. I doubt my joystick has a problem because i can make the a-10.. or any other plane (except the Frogs, haven't tried..) fly level without the use of Autopilot.. :)
  8. Fix the AIM-9 suddenly seeking a target wildly in a caged mode manner even though I'm using Boresight Radar mode. (which should be in uncaged mode) Fix the A-10 AG weapons "locking" when you have 3 or more types of ordnance loaded (e.g. Mavericks, Rockeyes and CBU-97s.. unless i depleted my Rockeyes, i cant use the CBU-97s) Trivial; Logbook: but would be nice if these were fixed/changed. :) Logbook recording.. I hope there would be another way it records & sums your flight hours & stats. I just had 50+ hours of flightime for my pilot and his logbook folder was like worth 20+ mb XML's in file size. Such a waste in hard drive space... :geek: oh well Hard Disks are having greater capacity anyways.. Omit the "double landing entries" if you ever porpoise/bounce on touchdown.. If it weren't for the Modman, it's quite hectic to correct this. Log the actual take off and landing times, not some 357XYZ hours weird time if your mission's date was beyond Day 001..
  9. Speed variation does work on the A-10, but not in the F-15. It will continue to pitch up even though i'm at low throttle settings. Maybe it's the "aerodynamics"? I don't think it's my joystick either since all other planes like the can remain in neutral pitch.
  10. Let Borchi work at his pace. He'll release it when it's complete ;)
  11. Yah, i 've been into the F-15 & A-10 for quite some time now but i have this rather noobish curiosity about their trim. First in the F-15, i was wondering why wont it stay level. Unless i've engaged the autopilot the plane's bound to pitch up continuously even though i'm maintaining a constant throttle setting. Also during landings, the "auto trim" of the F-15 want's to reduce the descent rate by itself or rather keeps itself level.. this happens when i commence the flare and reduce the throttles to idle.. If i don't apply a bit of forward stick, the plane would continue to level until falling off.. at stalling/minimum speed warning. Anyways i wonder if the real F-15 also behaves like this. As for the A-10, Why is this one so hard to keep perfectly level? (or at least flying in a more level path with little variance in altitude.) When i change the A-10's trim it will like go up quite high, trim down and it will go so nose down. Sorry if i cant express it properly, anyways the A-10 seems "jumpy" when being trimmed. Unless i engage the Autopilot, the plane is hard to keep perfectly level.. I'm just wondering after all or maybe i'm missing something.. :)
  12. I've recently experienced this bizarre clouds look.. Any solutions to this? My specs Dual core @ 1.80 ghz 1 gig of RAM 8400GS nvidia 512 mb windows xp SP2 EDIT: Ok never mind.. was able to fix it by adjusting the Anti-aliasing settings of Nvidia.
  13. I was wondering if it would be possible to recreate an eclipse. iirc, a solar eclipse occurred over the black sea last march 29, 2006. OT though, I think it's 80s for russian weapons then 70s for Western weapons ;)
  14. I'm curious about the Calendar Feature. I have LOCFG installed. Will it really set the day to say.. September 3, 2009? or Lock On world is still stuck in circa 2004 to 2005?
  15. Sorry for rezing this up, Anyways, thanks for the Text File Crunch :) Saved it in my PC~
  16. I would like to utilize the in-game "calendar" though. It would add a nice touch having the sun in a slant angle whilst in a winter mission. I shall start counting the days later =D
  17. So in effect, I'll have to count until i reach Day 366. Day 366 is June 21st right? (since 2004 was a leap year) I think want to make a calendar guide for this :)
  18. I'm just wondering what numerical values Represent the 4 seasons. If i'm correct day 001 corresponds to summer, then at day 365 It's summer again. I'm looking for the approximate Day number values representing Fall, Winter & Spring. Anyone have a knowledge on these values? Beats having a winter map while in a summer day. ..wished the Lock On had a Gregorian Calendar instead of day numbers in a given year~ :smilewink:
  19. Walmis F-15 still look's better than the Stock Eagle model~ (for me at least~) I guess it's a good reason to use it. Though, it could have been improved and optimized. Walmis' Eagle currently is the largest FPS eater 3D model .. or maybe 2nd to the Frogfoot T Also, some parts of the model surface "re-uses" textures from other parts of the plane. I've seen it when i did the Lucky Star Skin. But i still use it anyways. :) As for Borchi's Eagle, I wish it wouldn't eat much FPS, better yet increase the FPS like the 3GO Flanker. Anyways, I'd still appreciate the modders no matter how "good" or "bad" their mods/models can be. Those are freebie cookies after all =D
  20. @FullerGer: It's a low-res water texture replacement. You'll find them at LockOnFiles.
  21. Hog Door Art... "Invisible" clouds...
  22. So the only update to the Charlie Hog is the Avionics and weapon inventory?
  23. Can't wait for this upgraded A-10~! The clouds seem to have been improved too with additional cirrus toppers. Oh yah, does the Charlie Hog have fly-by-wire systems and auto trim like the F-15 & F-16?
  24. Try to reinstall Lock On and see if it's still there. We officially have a bug when flying over novorossiysk area. Other than that you should be able to lock ground vehicles in any part of the map.
