  1. :joystick: *F-15* + *IFF* + *AIM-120B* :joystick: :xmas:
  2. Sorry for the slight OT.. anyway since this is about SAMs I've got a query How does the Patriot work in LOMAC? It seems that it can only fire at one direction.
  3. nevertheless, i still wonder why the a-10 can't go beyond 300 I'm not sure if they're accurate but i remember sims wherein the a-10 can fly at 400 KIAS.. A-10 cuba was it...? not sure.. and yah, in my 1st sim.. Jane's USAF
  4. As the game goes, it's hard to get past 290+ knots when you're plane's fully loaded.. 200 knots? What weapons were you carrying? You should be able to go beyond 270 at any season fully loaded (Note the A-10 can fly faster in winter, :noexpression: odd.. maybe the below zero temps to blame? ) Also, did you retract your flaps after take off?
  5. I place dibs on that.. Now all i need to do is kidnap Henry Sy of SM  Joke :D
  6. On average the AWACS yaps every 30 seconds when the are 2 or more flight groups..:geek: something like that from what i experienced It's plain annoying in missions that sometimes, i don't put an AWACS plane at all.. but considering the F-15 has no datalink (really, really odd from day 1 of this game..) an AWACS is vital~ That distance filter is a nice idea, at least when he or she starts yapping, the contacts stated are relevant to your interests since they're closer to you. :)
  7. Well a company (Eagle Dynamics for example..) can not really please everyone. Nevertheless, the most important thing is that, this Flamming Cliffs 2.0 is anticipated by majority of us enthusiasts. Which is a great sign since their work would pay off. Though I think (in my opinion ok? ;)) that he has a point regarding the Ka-50 amidst the SFM fixed wings we got. Considering the way most multiplayer missions go, it's like an Air combat version of Half Life or Quake. Wherein majority of players fly a one-pilot show as opposed to real air forces that uses teamwork. and the map did got smaller a bit (Wished some airbases in Turkey were included too ~ :D) ..or so it seems.. But don't get me wrong, I would still get this FC 2.0 program once i see it in our local software stores~ :)
  8. Will this FC 2.0 change the Overcast clouds that bring down most computers to their knees? I hope the overcast clouds were changed so that some of us can fly under rainy or stormy conditions.
  9. Superb~~ I like the Mirage with Moe Underside lol~~
  10. I see but how about when an ED product was bought from say, a Software Store.. What will be needed to be sent to Eagle Dynamics? bar code? serial?
  11. Ok, so let's just say the user runs out of activations for some reasons (e.g. swepain's problems) Then it's SOL time for the user? No more DCS or FC 2.0 unless he or she buys another one? (even though he or she already paid for it once) and what if (For example again & hopefully would never happen.. at least within the next decade) ED goes out of business? No more online activations? No more DCS/FC 2.0 forever? YAh yah, it's a curiosity that i know would make me hated here~ Curiosity kills the cat after all...
  12. I was thinking of that too. Only the frog got a 3D model upgrade.. the rest of the more popular aircraft (irony...) still have the same low poly model.. Anyway it maybe not really that unfortunate since there's the Sim mod A-10, the 3GO Flanker and the Walmis F-15, (though i'm looking forward to the newer Borchi one that could replace it.) iirc someone's working on a new Fulcrum model too (unsure if its for both MiG-29A & S..) The only one that's left out is the Naval Flanker. May the 3GO team would do this? So what i'm just wishing for is the ease of applying these previous user-made models to the FC 2.0..
  13. I'm still wishing somehow that this FC 2.0 would be in bundled CDs with the previous versions too like what happened in Flamming cliffs.. If it weren't published by evolved games as Lock On Gold, I wouldn't even have a grasp about the world of Lock On Flamming cliffs.. Like i said.. i'm not really a fan of buying something online First & foremost, I don't have a credit card :( second i don't feel secure nor trust online transactions~ Sorry if i sound like i'm from stone age, i don't live in a 1st world country after all...
  14. This is really some good news~~ The one i've been waiting for years~~~! ..though one downer.. i'm not really a fan of buying online.. Is there any chance for CD version? and yah, another question.. Will the online activation thing have limits too?
  15. You cannot control the HSI in game. It will only tell you your distance from the selected waypoint/ILS and your deviation from the pre-planned course.
  16. Decrease the times/rates the AWACS announces contacts to you.. Right now, the English AWACS sounds like a very talkative B**ch~ More like talking every 30-40 seconds unless there are no more hostile contacts...
  17. Not really for me~ Unless there is another F-15 "sim" around, i won't drop Lock On. (but omg ED please fix this~ i have a hate-love-hate relation with the LO F-15) A-10 is another matter, that's the only DCS stuff i look forward for now... unless there would be DCS F-15, F/A-18 or a Flanker/Fulcrum variant with M in their names.. :D
  18. I love the Parked look, feels like a scale model ~ Nice work~~
  19. I don't need a 3rd and separate Eagle Dynamics Sim line~ All i want is to have the sicknesses in our Lock On Flamming Cliffs fixed. and the DCS A-10 is already being worked on anyway.. :smilewink:
  20. It would had been cool of the LOFC Eagle had an Air to Ground ability even just CCIP modes. Isn't JASDF modding their Juliet Eagles with even more Air-to-ground? Saw a pic that carried 2 cruise missiles or something.
  21. Or at least that's how it is in the current Lock On 1.12 patches... If i understood well, the vulnerability of Radar Guided Missiles to chaff and in look down situations is still questionable at best. Radar missiles especially the AIM-120 and the R-77 are stated to have tremendous capability in look-down, shoot-down situations. but who knows.. xD I don't have access to their "true" data and performance. IR missiles on the other hand are not affected by notching/look-down tactics i believe. Anyway, easily fooled or not, a missile heading down is also subjected to diving in thicker and denser air. So it would slow down much faster than when coasting at high altitudes :)
  22. I usually do high speed breaks towards left or right then reversing my heading then back again.. while maintaining "F-pole" similar to the training tracks in-game. I think there's a better chance of maintaining lock than when going up & down while in the F-pole. A target flying below you has more chances to notch either your radar or your SARH missile. That's an important thing you should keep in mind. As for IR missiles, maybe a preemptive dumping of flares when in closer distances could help since you really won't know when being launched upon by a Heat Seeker. And since i use the F-15 (dun have the distance-counting SPO-15) I maintain high speeds so there would be always enough energy/Gs in case of missile evasion. but who am i to state tips. I'm in the bottom of the food chain when in multiplayer ;) Maybe the more experienced people could drop by and share.. :)
  23. Oh i see. It's pretty much the positive cambered wings of the F-15 as you said. I never knew control sticks in real aircraft have to be inclined to maintain a more neutral and level flight. I do remember the the F-15 wasn't a FBW aircraft, hence lack of those automaton responsibilities like in the F-16. Thanks for clearing this up for me CHola :) I'm practically clueless about aerodynamics and such. Guess i'll just go with the work around of using the Autopilot modes when in cruise/non combat phases of a given flight.
  24. I made another track, this time focusing in the trimming. I throttled for 350 knots again then leveled off using the "H" key. I then disengaged the Autopilot and trimmed down. You can see the stick going a bit forward too because of the trimming. The F-15 continued started to pitch down after the trim change.. I then engaged the burners hoping the increase in speed would somehow make the plane go up again but no.. the Plane still continued pitching down.. I was able to have a positive rate of climb again by trimming up.
  25. @CHola: Yup, the Auto Pilot modes work correctly. I never used the Speed hold much though. Tried it but it was pretty much the same in that track file. when i was diving down with the burners on, i had already trimmed down. My Trimming down of the plane caused it to dive down. I have not really moved the stick at all. I was hoping the decreased/negative trim while accelerating would keep the nose from rising off the level horizon btw way what's this Positive camber wing? Is that the reason why the F-15 has the tendency to pitch up?
